1 Chronicles 4:39-41
International Standard Version
39 They journeyed as far as the entrance of Gedor on the east side of the valley in order to find pasture for their flocks. 40 They discovered abundant and excellent grazing lands there, where the land was very broad, secure, and tranquil, because the former inhabitants there were descendants of Ham. 41 Later on, during the reign[a] of King Hezekiah of Judah, these people,[b] enumerated by name, came and attacked both their homes[c] and the Meunim who had settled there and who remain exterminated to this day. They settled down there, taking their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks.

New International Version
39 and they went to the outskirts of Gedor(A) to the east of the valley in search of pasture for their flocks. 40 They found rich, good pasture, and the land was spacious, peaceful and quiet.(B) Some Hamites had lived there formerly.
41 The men whose names were listed came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. They attacked the Hamites in their dwellings and also the Meunites(C) who were there and completely destroyed[a] them, as is evident to this day. Then they settled in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks.
