26 Thus David son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 The period that he reigned over Israel was forty years; he reigned for seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem. 28 He died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour; and his son Solomon succeeded him.

26 David son of Jesse was king(B) over all Israel.(C) 27 He ruled over Israel forty years—seven in Hebron(D) and thirty-three in Jerusalem.(E) 28 He died(F) at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.(G)
