David’s Prayer
10 So David blessed the Lord in the sight of all the assembly; and David said, “Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel our father, forever and ever. 11 (A)Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. 12 (B)Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and (C)in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. 13 Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.
14 “But who am I and who are my people that we should [a]be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You. 15 For (D)we are strangers before You, and temporary residents, as all our fathers were; (E)our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy name, it is from Your hand, and everything is Yours.

10 David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,
“Praise be to you, Lord,
the God of our father Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power(A)
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.(B)
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.(C)
12 Wealth and honor(D) come from you;
you are the ruler(E) of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name.
14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?(F) Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.(G) 15 We are foreigners and strangers(H) in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow,(I) without hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you.
