Offerings for the Temple

29 Then King David said to the entire assembly, “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, ^(A)is still young and inexperienced, and the work is great; for ^(B)the ^[a]temple is not for mankind, but for the Lord God.

⁷ and worthless men gathered to him, wicked men, who proved too strong for Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, when ^[a](A)he was young and timid and could not hold his own against them.
