5 David said, “My son Solomon is young and does not yet have much learning. And the house that is to be built for the Lord must be very beautiful. It must be very great, and well-known in all lands. So I will get things ready for it to be built.” David made many things ready for it before his death.
6 Then he called for his son Solomon, and gave him the work of building a house for the Lord God of Israel. 7 David said to Solomon, “My son, I had planned to build a house to the name of the Lord my God.

5 David said, “My son Solomon is young(A) and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord should be of great magnificence and fame and splendor(B) in the sight of all the nations. Therefore I will make preparations for it.” So David made extensive preparations before his death.
6 Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build(C) a house for the Lord, the God of Israel. 7 David said to Solomon: “My son, I had it in my heart(D) to build(E) a house for the Name(F) of the Lord my God.
