2 These were the ^(B)sons of ^[a]Israel: ^(C)Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, ² Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

From Judah to David^(D)

³ The sons of ^(E)Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by the daughter of ^(F)Shua, the Canaanitess. ^(G)Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; so He killed him.
