And David put a garrison in Aram of [a]Damascus, and the Aramites became David’s servants, and brought gifts: and the Lord [b]preserved David wheresoever he went.

And David took the shields of gold that were of the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

And from [c]Tibhath, and from Chun (cities of Hadadezer) brought David exceeding much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen (A)Sea, and the pillars and the vessels of brass.

David took the gold shields carried by the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem. From Tebah[a] and Kun, towns that belonged to Hadadezer, David took a great quantity of bronze, which Solomon used to make the bronze Sea,(A) the pillars and various bronze articles.
