⁵ So David assembled all Israel,^(A) from the Shihor River^(B) in Egypt to Lebo Hamath,^(C) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim.^(D)

²¹ Then they sent messengers to the people of Kiriath Jearim,^(A) saying, “The Philistines have returned the ark of the Lord. Come down and take it up to your town.” 7 ¹ So the men of Kiriath Jearim came and took up the ark^(B) of the Lord. They brought it to Abinadab’s^(C) house on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the Lord.

⁶⁵ So Solomon observed the festival^(A) at that time, and all Israel with him—a vast assembly, people from Lebo Hamath^(B) to the Wadi of Egypt.^(C) They celebrated it before the Lord our God for seven days and seven days more, fourteen days in all.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem^(A)(B)

6 David again brought together all the able young men of Israel—thirty thousand.

³ David assembled all Israel^(A) in Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the Lord to the place he had prepared for it.

⁶ David and all Israel went to Baalah^(A) of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim^(B)—the ark that is called by the Name.

²¹ There at Riblah,^(A) in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed.^(B)

So Judah went into captivity,^(C) away from her land.^(D)

²¹ And Solomon ruled^(A) over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River^(B) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.^(C) These countries brought tribute^(D) and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

⁶ “As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim,^(M) that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out^(N) before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,^(O)
