5 (A)N’atanula okusinza Asutoleesi katonda omukazi ow’Abasidoni, ne Mirukomu katonda ow’omuzizo ow’Abamoni. 6 Sulemaani n’akola ebitaali bya butuukirivu mu maaso ga Mukama n’atagobererera ddala Mukama, n’atakola nga Dawudi kitaawe bwe yakola.
7 (B)Sulemaani n’azimba ebifo ebigulumivu ku kasozi[a] akali ebuvanjuba w’e Yerusaalemi, ng’abizimbira Kemosi katonda ow’omuzizo ow’Abamowaabu, ne Moleki katonda ow’omuzizo ow’Abamoni.

5 He followed Ashtoreth(A) the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek(B) the detestable god of the Ammonites. 6 So Solomon did evil(C) in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done.
7 On a hill east(D) of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh(E) the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek(F) the detestable god of the Ammonites.
