Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection^(A)

³¹ And ^(B)He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be ^(C)rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be ^(D)killed, and after three days rise again.

²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you, ^(A)‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. ^(B)If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

^11 (A)Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of ^(B)evil against you falsely for My sake.

^2 (A)They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming ^(B)that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

¹⁵ He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak ^(A)and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. ¹⁶ He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, ^(B)to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, ¹⁷ and that no one may buy or sell except one who has ^[a]the mark or ^(C)the name of the beast, ^(D)or the number of his name.

¹¹ And have ^(A)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[a]expose them.
