¹⁵ I don’t ask you to take them out of the world, but to protect them from the Evil One.

⁸ The person who keeps on sinning is from the Adversary, because from the very beginning the Adversary has kept on sinning. It was for this very reason that the Son of God appeared, to destroy these doings of the Adversary.

⁴ who gave himself for our sins, so that he might deliver us from the present evil world-system, in obedience to the will of God, our Father.
