Believers Are Salt and Light(A)

13 “You are the salt of the earth; (B)but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 (C)“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they (D)light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, (E)that they may see your good works and (F)glorify your Father in heaven.

The Day of the Lord

But concerning (A)the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that (B)the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then (C)sudden destruction comes upon them, (D)as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (E)But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all (F)sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
