³⁹ He went a little farther, and falling on His face, He prayed, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

³³ He took Peter and James and John with Him and began to be greatly distressed and very troubled. ³⁴ And He said to them, “My soul is deeply sorrowful unto death. Remain here and keep watch.”

³⁵ He went a little farther and fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. ³⁶ He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”

⁴¹ He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, ⁴² “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” ⁴³ An angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. ⁴⁴ And being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
