²⁷ Now following Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were ^[a](A)mourning and grieving for Him.

^25 (A)Now beside the cross of Jesus stood ^(B)His mother, His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and ^(C)Mary Magdalene. ²⁶ So when Jesus saw His mother, and ^(D)the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “^(E)Woman, behold, your son!” ²⁷ Then He *said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her into ^(F)his own household.

²⁸ God blessed them; and God said to them, “^(A)Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that ^[a]moves on the earth.”

¹⁸ Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; ^(A)I will make him a helper ^[a]suitable for him.”

⁷ “The Lord of armies says this: ‘If you ^(A)walk in My ways and perform My service, then you will both ^(B)govern My house and be in charge of My ^(C)courtyards, and I will grant you ^[a]free access among these who are standing here.
