¹⁰ And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all ^(A)the people. ¹¹ For ^(B)unto you is born this day in ^(C)the city of David ^(D)a Savior, who is ^(E)Christ ^(F)the Lord.

Jesus and Zacchaeus

19 ^(A)He entered Jericho and was passing through. ² And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. ³ And ^(B)he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. ⁴ So he ran on ahead and climbed up into ^(C)a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. ⁵ And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for ^(D)I must stay at your house today.” ⁶ So he hurried and came down and ^(E)received him joyfully. ⁷ And when they saw it, they all ^(F)grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.” ⁸ And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods ^(G)I give to the poor. And if I have ^(H)defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it ^(I)fourfold.” ⁹ And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since ^(J)he also is a son of Abraham. ¹⁰ For ^(K)the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

³² And it shall come to pass that ^(A)everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ^(B)For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among ^(C)the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.

^12 (A)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ^(B)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ^(C)bestowing his riches on all who call on him. ¹³ For ^(D)“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
