²⁷ And ^(A)whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. ²⁸ For ^(B)which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— ²⁹ lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,

⁴ You have become guilty by the blood which you have ^(A)shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made. You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years; ^(B)therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mockery to all countries.
