²² His parents said this because they ^(A)were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews ^(B)had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him to be ^[a]Christ, ^(C)he was to be put out of the synagogue.

³⁴ They answered him, “^(A)You were born entirely in sins, and are you teaching us?” So they ^(B)put him out.

¹⁹ So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for ^(A)fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “^[a](B)Peace be with you.”
