²⁹The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God ^[a]who takes away the sin of the world!^(A)

John 1:29 John is referring to the fulfillment of the need for the OT Passover lambs which was now fulfilled in Christ’s sacrifice, the ultimate and final sacrifice for sins.

²⁹The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,^(A) who takes away the sin of the world!^(B)

³⁶and he looked at Jesus as He walked along, and said, “Look! The Lamb of God!”

³⁶When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”^(A)
