¹⁵ Be diligent to ^(A)present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling ^(B)the word of truth. ¹⁶ But ^(C)avoid ^(D)godless and empty chatter, for ^[a]it will lead to further ungodliness, ¹⁷ and their word will spread like ^[b]gangrene. Among them are ^(E)Hymenaeus and Philetus, ¹⁸ who have gone astray from the truth saying that ^(F)the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset ^(G)the faith of some.
