The Coming of the Lord
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,[a] about those who have died,[b] so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.[c] 15 For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died.[d] 16 For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call and with the sound of God’s trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.

13 (A)Fratelli, non vogliamo[a] che siate nell’ignoranza riguardo a quelli che dormono, affinché non siate tristi come gli altri che non hanno speranza. 14 Infatti, se crediamo che Gesù morì e risuscitò, crediamo pure che Dio, per mezzo di Gesù, ricondurrà con lui quelli che si sono addormentati[b]. 15 Poiché questo vi diciamo mediante la parola del Signore: che noi viventi, i quali saremo rimasti fino alla venuta del Signore, non precederemo quelli che si sono addormentati; 16 perché il Signore stesso, con un ordine, con voce d’arcangelo e con la tromba di Dio, scenderà dal cielo, e prima risusciteranno i morti in Cristo; 17 poi noi viventi, che saremo rimasti, verremo rapiti insieme con loro, sulle nuvole, a incontrare il Signore nell’aria; e così saremo sempre con il Signore.

13 Ich will euch aber, Brüder, nicht in Unwissenheit lassen über die Entschlafenen, damit ihr nicht traurig seid wie die anderen, die keine Hoffnung haben.
14 Denn wenn wir glauben, dass Jesus gestorben und auferstanden ist, so wird Gott auch die Entschlafenen durch Jesus mit ihm führen.
15 Denn das sagen wir euch in einem Wort des Herrn: Wir, die wir leben und bis zur Wiederkunft des Herrn übrig bleiben, werden den Entschlafenen nicht zuvorkommen;
16 denn der Herr selbst wird, wenn der Befehl ergeht und die Stimme des Erzengels und die Posaune Gottes erschallt, vom Himmel herabkommen, und die Toten in Christus werden zuerst auferstehen.
17 Danach werden wir, die wir leben und übrig bleiben, zusammen mit ihnen entrückt[a] werden in Wolken, zur Begegnung mit dem Herrn, in die Luft, und so werden wir bei dem Herrn sein allezeit.

13 Tudjátok, hogy a hitetlenek, akiknek nincs miben reménykedniük, gyászolnak és szomorkodnak azok miatt, akik már meghaltak. Azt akarjuk, hogy ti ne bánkódjatok, és ne legyetek bizonytalanságban azoknak a testvéreinknek a sorsa felől, akik már meghaltak. 14 Mivel hisszük, hogy Jézus meghalt, azután pedig feltámadt a halálból, ezért abban is bizonyosak lehetünk, hogy Isten visszahozza azokat a testvéreinket Jézussal együtt, akik benne bízva haltak meg.
15 Ezt pedig úgy mondjuk nektek, mintha maga az Úr mondaná: mi, akik még akkor is élni fogunk, amikor az Úr visszajön, nem fogjuk megelőzni azokat a testvéreinket, akik már korábban meghaltak. 16 Akkor maga az Úr fog leszállni a Mennyből! Felhangzik egy hangos parancsszó, az angyalok fejedelmének hangja és Isten trombitajele. Akkor fel fognak támadni azok, akik úgy haltak meg, hogy hittek Krisztusban. Ők lesznek az elsők. 17 Ezután mi következünk, akik akkor még életben leszünk. Feltámadott testvéreinkkel együtt az Úr fölemel magához bennünket a felhőkön a magasságba. 13 Nous ne voulons pas, frères et sœurs, vous laisser dans l’ignorance au sujet de ceux qui sont décédés, afin que vous ne soyez pas tristes de la même manière que le reste des hommes, qui n’ont pas d’espérance.
14 En effet, puisque nous croyons que Jésus est mort et ressuscité, nous croyons aussi que Dieu ramènera par Jésus et avec lui ceux qui sont morts[a].
15 Car voici ce que nous vous déclarons d’après une parole du Seigneur[b] : nous qui serons restés en vie au moment où le Seigneur viendra, nous ne précéderons pas ceux qui sont morts. 16 En effet, au signal donné, sitôt que la voix de l’archange et le son de la trompette divine retentiront, le Seigneur lui-même descendra du ciel, et ceux qui sont morts unis à Christ ressusciteront en premier lieu. 17 Ensuite, nous qui serons restés en vie à ce moment-là, nous serons enlevés ensemble avec eux, dans les nuées, pour rencontrer le Seigneur dans les airs. Ti pedig segítettétek azokat, akik hasonlóan szenvedtek, 34 vagy, akiket börtönbe zártak, és együtt szenvedtetek velük. Még azt is jókedvvel viseltétek, amikor a vagyonotokat erőszakkal elvették tőletek, hiszen tudtátok, hogy sokkal értékesebb és örökkévaló kincsetek van.

Más vendégek is voltak ott, akikkel együtt vacsoráztak: vámszedők és mindenféle rosszhírű bűnösök, mert sokan mentek oda Jézussal együtt. 16 A farizeusok közül néhány törvénytanító látta, hogy Jézus együtt eszik a bűnösökkel és a vámszedőkkel. 16 En voyant qu’il mangeait avec ces pécheurs notoires et ces collecteurs d’impôts, les spécialistes de la Loi qui appartenaient au parti des pharisiens interpellèrent ses disciples : Comment votre maître peut-il manger de la sorte avec des collecteurs d’impôts et des pécheurs notoires ?
17 Jésus, qui les avait entendus, leur dit : Les bien-portants n’ont pas besoin de médecin ; ce sont les malades qui en ont besoin. Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.
