نَتَائِجُ التَّبرِير
5 فَبِمَا أنَّنَا قَدْ تَبَرَّرنَا بِالإيمَانِ، فَقَدْ صَارَ لَنَا سَلَامٌ مَعَ اللهِ بِرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ. 2 كَمَا صَارَ لَنَا امتِيَازُ الدُّخُولِ بِالإيمَانِ إلَى هَذِهِ النِّعمَةِ الَّتِي نَعِيشُ فِيهَا الآنَ. وَنَحْنُ مُبتَهِجُونَ لِأنَّنَا نَتَوَقَّعُ المُشَارَكَةَ فِي مَجْدِ اللهِ. 3 وَلَيْسَ هَذَا فَقَطْ، بَلْ إنَّنَا نَبتَهِجُ حَتَّى فِي ضِيقَاتِنَا. لِأنَّنَا نَعْرِفُ أنَّ الضِّيقَ يُنتِجُ صَبرًا، 4 وَالصَّبرُ بُرْهَانُ القُوَّةِ. وَهَذَا البُرْهَانُ يُنتِجُ رَجَاءً. 5 وَالرَّجَاءُ لَنْ يَخْذِلَنَا، لِأنَّ اللهَ قَدْ سَكَبَ مَحَبَّتَهُ فِي قُلُوبِنَا بِالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ الَّذِي أُعْطِيَ لَنَا.
6 فَحِينَ كُنَّا عَاجِزِينَ عَنْ تَخْلِيصِ أنْفُسِنَا، مَاتَ المَسِيحُ فِي الوَقْتِ المُنَاسِبِ مِنْ أجْلِنَا نَحْنُ الأشرَارَ. 7 يَصْعُبُ أنْ يُضَحِّيَ إنْسَانٌ بِحَيَاتِهِ حَتَّىْ مِنْ أجْلِ إنْسَانٍ صَالِحٍ، وَرُبَّمَا يَتَجَرَّأُ وَيَمُوتُ مِنْ أجْلِ إنْسَانٍ صَالِحٍ. 8 لَكِنَّ اللهَ أظْهَرَ مَحَبَّتَهُ لَنَا، إذْ مَاتَ المَسِيحُ مِنْ أجلِنَا وَنَحْنُ بَعْدُ فِي خَطَايَانَا.
9 فَبِمَا أنَّنَا تَبَرَّرنَا بِدَمِ يَسُوعَ، نَكُونُ أكْثَرَ يَقِينًا الآنَ بِأنَّنَا سَنَنجُو مِنْ غَضَبِ اللهِ. 10 فَإنْ كُنَّا، وَنَحْنُ أعْدَاءٌ للهِ، قَدْ تَصَالَحنَا مَعَهُ بِمَوْتِ ابنِهِ، فَمَا أعْظَمَ الخَلَاصَ الَّذِي سَنَتَمَتَّعُ بِهِ الآنَ بِحَيَاةِ ابنِهِ، وَنَحْنُ مُصَالَحُونَ! 11 بَلْ وَنَبتَهِجُ أيْضًا بِاللهِ، بِرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ، الَّذِي حَصَلنَا عَلَى المُصَالَحَةِ مِنْ خِلَالِهِ.
المَوْتُ بِآدَمَ وَالحَيَاةُ بِالمَسِيح
12 لَقَدْ دَخَلَتِ الخَطِيَّةُ إلَى العَالَمِ مِنْ خِلَالِ إنْسَانٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَبِالخَطِيَّةِ دَخَلَ المَوْتُ. وَهَكَذَا سَادَ المَوْتُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ، لِأنَّ الجَمِيعَ قَدْ أخطَأُوا. 13 كَانَتِ الخَطِيَّةُ فِي العَالَمِ قَبْلَ إعلَانِ الشَّرِيعَةِ. لَكِنَّ الخَطِيَّةَ لَا تُحسَبُ إنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ هُنَاكَ شَرِيعَةٌ. 14 إلَّا أنَّ المَوْتَ قَدْ سَادَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مُنْذُ زَمَنِ آدَمَ إلَى زَمَنِ مُوسَى.
وَقَدْ سَادَ المَوْتُ حَتَّى عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُخطِئُوا عَلَى طَرِيقَةِ آدَمَ الَّذِي خَالَفَ وَصِيَّةَ اللهِ. وَآدَمُ صُورَةٌ لِلمَسِيحِ الآتِي. 15 وَلَكِنَّ عَطِيَّةَ اللهِ المَجَّانِيَّةَ لَمْ تَكُنْ كَخَطِيَّةِ آدَمَ. لِأنَّهُ إنْ مَاتَ جَمِيعُ النَّاسِ بِسَبَبِ خَطِيَّةِ ذَلِكَ الوَاحِدِ، فَالأَوْلَى أنْ تَفِيضَ نِعْمَةُ اللهِ، وَالعَطِيَّةُ الَّتِي جَاءَتْ عَلَى جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ بِنِعْمَةِ الوَاحِدِ يَسُوعَ. 16 فَنَتِيجَةُ عَطِيَّةِ اللهِ لَيْسَتْ كَنَتِيجَةِ خَطِيَّةِ ذَلِكَ الإنْسَانِ الوَاحِدِ. فَقَدْ جَاءَ الحُكْمُ المُؤَدِّي إلَى الدَّينُونَةِ بَعْدَ خَطِيَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ. أمَّا العَطِيَّةُ المُؤَدِّيَةُ إلَى البِرِّ فَجَاءَتْ بَعْدَ خَطَايَا كَثِيرَةٍ. 17 فَبِمَا أنَّ المَوْتَ قَدْ مَلَكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مِنْ خِلَالِ ذَلِكَ الوَاحِدِ: آدَمَ، وَبِسَبَبِ مَعصِيَتِهِ الوَاحِدَةِ، فَالأَوْلَى أنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتَمَتَّعُونَ بِفَيضِ النِّعمَةِ وَعَطِيَّةِ البِرِّ سَيَمْلِكونَ فِي الحَيَاةِ الأبَدِيَّةِ مِنْ خِلَالِ الوَاحِدِ: يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ.
18 لَقَدْ جَاءَتِ الدَّينُونَةُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ بِمَعصِيَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ. وَكَذَلِكَ جَاءَ البِرُّ المُؤَدِّي إلَى الحَيَاةِ الأبَدِيَّةِ لِجَمِيعِ النَّاسِ بِعَمَلٍ بَارٍّ وَاحِدٍ. 19 فَكَمَا صَارَ الكَثِيرُونَ خُطَاةً بِمَعصِيَةِ إنْسَانٍ وَاحِدٍ، سَيُجعَلُ الكَثِيرُونَ أبْرَارًا بِطَاعَةِ الوَاحِدِ. 20 وَأمَّا الشَّرِيعَةُ فَقَدْ جَاءَتْ لِكَي يَزدَادَ التَّعَدِّي عَلَى الشَّرِيعَةِ! لَكِنْ حَيْثُ تَزدَادُ الخَطِيَّةُ، تَزدَادُ نِعْمَةُ اللهِ أكْثَرَ. 21 فَكَمَا مَلَكَتِ الخَطِيَّةُ مِنْ خِلَالِ المَوْتِ، كَذَلِكَ قَدَّمَ اللهُ نِعْمَتَهُ لِكَي تَمْلُكَ بِتَبْرِيرِنَا، فَتُؤَدِّيَ إلَى الحَيَاةِ الأبَدِيَّةِ بِيَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ رَبِّنَا.

2. LA SALVEZZA
La giustificazione pegno della salvezza
5 Giustificati dunque per la fede, noi siamo in pace con Dio per mezzo del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo; 2 per suo mezzo abbiamo anche ottenuto, mediante la fede, di accedere a questa grazia nella quale ci troviamo e ci vantiamo nella speranza della gloria di Dio. 3 E non soltanto questo: noi ci vantiamo anche nelle tribolazioni, ben sapendo che la tribolazione produce pazienza, la pazienza una virtù provata 4 e la virtù provata la speranza. 5 La speranza poi non delude, perché l'amore di Dio è stato riversato nei nostri cuori per mezzo dello Spirito Santo che ci è stato dato.
6 Infatti, mentre noi eravamo ancora peccatori, Cristo morì per gli empi nel tempo stabilito. 7 Ora, a stento si trova chi sia disposto a morire per un giusto; forse ci può essere chi ha il coraggio di morire per una persona dabbene. 8 Ma Dio dimostra il suo amore verso di noi perché, mentre eravamo ancora peccatori, Cristo è morto per noi. 9 A maggior ragione ora, giustificati per il suo sangue, saremo salvati dall'ira per mezzo di lui. 10 Se infatti, quand'eravamo nemici, siamo stati riconciliati con Dio per mezzo della morte del Figlio suo, molto più ora che siamo riconciliati, saremo salvati mediante la sua vita. 11 Non solo, ma ci gloriamo pure in Dio, per mezzo del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo, dal quale ora abbiamo ottenuto la riconciliazione.
A. Liberazione dal peccato, dalla morte e dalla legge
Adamo e Gesù Cristo
12 Quindi, come a causa di un solo uomo il peccato è entrato nel mondo e con il peccato la morte, così anche la morte ha raggiunto tutti gli uomini, perché tutti hanno peccato. 13 Fino alla legge infatti c'era peccato nel mondo e, anche se il peccato non può essere imputato quando manca la legge, 14 la morte regnò da Adamo fino a Mosè anche su quelli che non avevano peccato con una trasgressione simile a quella di Adamo, il quale è figura di colui che doveva venire.
15 Ma il dono di grazia non è come la caduta: se infatti per la caduta di uno solo morirono tutti, molto di più la grazia di Dio e il dono concesso in grazia di un solo uomo, Gesù Cristo, si sono riversati in abbondanza su tutti gli uomini. 16 E non è accaduto per il dono di grazia come per il peccato di uno solo: il giudizio partì da un solo atto per la condanna, il dono di grazia invece da molte cadute per la giustificazione. 17 Infatti se per la caduta di uno solo la morte ha regnato a causa di quel solo uomo, molto di più quelli che ricevono l'abbondanza della grazia e del dono della giustizia regneranno nella vita per mezzo del solo Gesù Cristo.
18 Come dunque per la colpa di uno solo si è riversata su tutti gli uomini la condanna, così anche per l'opera di giustizia di uno solo si riversa su tutti gli uomini la giustificazione che dà vita. 19 Similmente, come per la disobbedienza di uno solo tutti sono stati costituiti peccatori, così anche per l'obbedienza di uno solo tutti saranno costituiti giusti.
20 La legge poi sopraggiunse a dare piena coscienza della caduta, ma laddove è abbondato il peccato, ha sovrabbondato la grazia, 21 perché come il peccato aveva regnato con la morte, così regni anche la grazia con la giustizia per la vita eterna, per mezzo di Gesù Cristo nostro Signore.

5 Therefore, since we have been justified(A) through faith,(B) we[a] have peace(C) with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,(D) 2 through whom we have gained access(E) by faith into this grace in which we now stand.(F) And we[b] boast in the hope(G) of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings,(H) because we know that suffering produces perseverance;(I) 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope(J) does not put us to shame, because God’s love(K) has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,(L) who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time,(M) when we were still powerless,(N) Christ died for the ungodly.(O) 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.(P)
9 Since we have now been justified(Q) by his blood,(R) how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath(S) through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies,(T) we were reconciled(U) to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!(V) 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.(W)
Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man,(X) and death through sin,(Y) and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned(Z)—
13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law.(AA) 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam,(AB) who is a pattern of the one to come.(AC)
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man,(AD) how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ,(AE) overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death(AF) reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life(AG) through the one man, Jesus Christ!
18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people,(AH) so also one righteous act resulted in justification(AI) and life(AJ) for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man(AK) the many were made sinners,(AL) so also through the obedience(AM) of the one man the many will be made righteous.
20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase.(AN) But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,(AO) 21 so that, just as sin reigned in death,(AP) so also grace(AQ) might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life(AR) through Jesus Christ our Lord.
