مُغَادَرَةُ مَجْدِ اللهِ لِلهَيْكَل
10 وَفَجْأةً، رَأيْتُ عَلَى القُبَّةِ الشَّبِيهَةِ بِاللَّازَوَرْدِ الَّتِي فَوْقَ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ مَا يُشْبِهُ العَرْشَ. 2 حِينَئِذٍ، قَالَ لِلرَّجُلِ اللَّابِسِ الكِتَّانَ: «ادخُلْ إلَى مَا بَيْنَ الدَّوَالِيبِ الَّتِي تَحْتَ مَلَائِكَةِ الكرُوبِيمِ، وَاملأْ يَدَيْكَ بِجَمرٍ مِنْ عَلَى المَذْبَحِ الَّذِي يَتَوَسَّطُ مَلَائِكَةَ الكَرُوبِيمِ الأرْبَعَةَ، وَألقِ بِذَلِكَ الجَمرِ عَلَى المَدِينَةِ.» فَدَخَلَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ أمَامَ عَينَيَّ. 3 وَكَانَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ وَاقِفَةً عَنْ يَمِينِ المَذْبَحِ. وَحِينَ دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ، بَدَأتِ السُّحُبُ تُغَطِّي السَّاحَةَ الدَّاخِلِيَّةَ. 4 ثُمَّ ارتَفَعَ مَجْدُ اللهِ مِنْ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ وَذَهَبَ إلَى عَتَبَةِ الهَيْكَلِ. فَامتَلأ الهَيْكَلُ بِالسُّحُبِ، بَيْنَمَا امتَلأتِ السَّاحَةُ بِنُورِ مَجْدِ اللهِ. 5 وَكَانَ يُمْكِنُ سَمَاعُ صَوْتِ أجنِحَةِ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ حَتَّى فِي السَّاحَةِ الخَارِجِيَّةِ، كَصَوْتِ اللهِ الجَبَّارِ[a] وَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ.
6 وَحِينَ أمَرَ الرَّجُلَ اللَّابِسَ الكِتَّانَ بِأنْ يَأْخُذَ نَارًا مِنْ بَيْنِ الدَّوَالِيبِ، أيْ مِنْ بَيْنِ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ، ذَهَبَ وَوَقَفَ قُرْبَ الدَّوَالِيبِ. 7 فَمَدَّ كَرُوبٌ يَدَهُ إلَى مِنطَقَةِ بَيْنَ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ، إلَى النَّارِ الَّتِي تَتَوَسَّطُ مَلَائِكَةَ الكَرُوبِيمِ. وَأخَذَ جَمْرَةً وَوَضَعَهَا فِي يَدَيِّ اللَّابِسِ الكِتَّانَ، فَأخَذَهَا وَخَرَجَ. 8 وكَانَ لِمَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ مَا بَدَا مِثْلُ أيدٍ بَشَرِيَّةٍ تَحْتَ أجنِحَتِهَا.
9 وَلَاحَظْتُ أرْبَعَةَ دَوَالِيبَ قُرْبَ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ الأرْبَعَةِ، دُولَابًا لِكُلِّ كَرُوبٍ. وَكَانَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ كَالبَلُّورِ. 10 وَبَدَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ مُتَشَابِهَةً وَمُتَدَاخِلَةً، كُلُّ دُولَابٍ فِي الآخَرِ. 11 وَكَانَتِ الحَيَوَانَاتُ الأرْبَعَةُ تَتَحَرَّكُ مَعًا. وَكَانَتْ تَسِيرُ عَلَى جَوَانِبِهَا الأرْبَعَةِ، لَكِن لَمْ تَكُنْ تَدُورُ أوْ تَنْعَطِفُ حِينَ كَانَتْ تَتَحَرَّكُ. فَكَانَتْ تَسِيرُ بِالِاتِّجَاهِ الَّذِي يَسِيرُ فِيهِ الرَّأسُ، وَلَمْ تَكُنْ تَلْتَفُّ أوْ تَدُورُ فِي سَيرِهَا. 12 وَكَانَتْ أجسَامُ مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ الأرْبَعَةِ وَظُهُورُهَا وَأيدِيهَا وَأجنِحَتُهَا وَدَوَالِيبُهَا مُغَطَّاةً بِالعُيُونِ. 13 وَدُعِيَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ أمَامِي بِالدَّوَالِيبِ الدَّوَّارَةِ. 14 وَكَانَ لِكُلِّ كَرُوبٍ أرْبَعَةُ وُجُوهٍ: الأوَّلُ وَجْهُ كَرُوبٍ، وَالثَّانِي وَجْهُ إنْسَانٍ، وَالثَّالِثُ وَجْهُ أسَدٍ، وَالرَّابِعُ وَجْهُ نَسرٍ. 15 ثُمَّ ارتَفَعَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ. هَذِهِ هِيَ الكَائِنَاتُ الَّتِي رَأيْتُهَا فِي الرُّؤيَا عِنْدَ نَهْرِ خَابُورَ. 16 وَحِينَ كَانَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ تَتَحَرَّكُ، كَانَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ القَرِيبَةُ مِنْهَا تَتَحَرَّكُ مَعَهَا. وَحِينَ كَانَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ تَرْفَعُ أجنِحَتَهَا لِتَرْتَفِعَ عَنِ الأرْضِ، لَمْ تَكُنِ الدَّوَالِيبُ تُغّيِّرُ اتِّجَاهَهَا. 17 فَإذَا تَوَقَّفَت مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ، تَوَقَّفَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ مَعَهَا. وَإذَا ارتَفَعَتْ، ارْتَفَعَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ مَعَهَا، لِأنَّ رُوحَ الكَائِنَاتِ كَانَتْ فِيهَا.
18 وَتَرَكَ مَجْدُ اللهِ عَتَبَةَ الهَيْكَلِ وَوَقَفَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ. 19 ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ مَلَائِكَةُ الكَرُوبِيمِ أجنِحَتَهَا وَارتَفَعَتْ إلَى الهَوَاءِ أمَامَ عَيْنِي. وَحِينَ ارتَفَعَتْ، ارْتَفَعَتِ الدَّوَالِيبُ مَعَهَا. ثُمَّ وَقَفَتْ عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ البَوَّابَةِ الشَّرقِيَّةِ لِبَيْتِ اللهِ، وَكَانَ مَجْدُ إلَهِ إسْرَائِيلَ عَلَيْهَا. 20 هَذِهِ هِيَ الكَائِنَاتُ الَّتِي رَأيْتُهَا تَحْتَ إلَهِ إسْرَائِيلَ عِنْدَ نَهْرِ خَابُورَ. فَأدرَكتُ الآنَ أنَّهَا مِنْ ملَائِكَةِ الكَرُوبِيمِ. 21 كَانَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهَا أرْبَعَةُ وُجُوهٍ، وَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهَا أرْبَعَةُ أجنِحَةٍ. وَتَحْتَ أجنِحَتِهَا مَا يُشْبِهُ الأيدِي البَشَرِيَّةَ. 22 أمَّا الوُجُوهُ الأرْبَعَةُ فَهِيَ الَّتِي رَأيْتُهَا فِي الرُّؤيَا عِنْدَ نَهْرِ خَابُورَ. وَكَانَ كُلُّ كَائِنٍ مِنْهَا يَتَحَرَّكُ بِاسْتِقَامَةٍ إلَى الأمَامِ.

The Glory of the Lord Leaves the Temple
10 Then I looked, and behold, (A)on the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something (B)like a sapphire,[a] in appearance like a throne. 2 And he said to (C)the man clothed in linen, “Go in among (D)the whirling wheels underneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with (E)burning coals from between the cherubim, and (F)scatter them over the city.”
And he went in (G)before my eyes. 3 Now the cherubim were standing (H)on the south side of the house, when the man went in, and (I)a cloud filled (J)the inner court. 4 And (K)the glory of the Lord (L)went up from the cherub to the threshold of the house, and the house (M)was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with (N)the brightness of the glory of the Lord. 5 And (O)the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, (P)like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
6 And when he commanded (Q)the man clothed in linen, (R)“Take fire from between (S)the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” he went in and stood beside a wheel. 7 And a cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who took it and went out. 8 The cherubim appeared to have (T)the form of a human hand under their wings.
9 (U)And I looked, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one beside each cherub, and (V)the appearance of the wheels was (W)like sparkling (X)beryl. 10 And as for their appearance, the four had the same likeness, as if a wheel were within a wheel. 11 (Y)When they went, they went in any of their four directions[b] (Z)without turning as they went, (AA)but in whatever direction the front wheel[c] faced, the others followed without turning as they went. 12 (AB)And their whole body, their rims, and their spokes, their wings,[d] and the wheels were full of eyes all around—the wheels that the four of them had. 13 As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing (AC)“the whirling wheels.” 14 (AD)And every one had four faces: (AE)the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was (AF)a human face, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 (AG)And the cherubim mounted up. These were (AH)the living creatures that I saw by (AI)the Chebar canal. 16 (AJ)And when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them. And (AK)when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them. 17 (AL)When they stood still, these stood still, and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them, for the spirit of the living creatures[e] was in them.
18 (AM)Then (AN)the glory of the Lord went out from the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim. 19 (AO)And the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth (AP)before my eyes as they went out, with the wheels beside them. And they stood at the entrance of the (AQ)east gate of the house of the Lord, and (AR)the glory of the God of Israel was over them.
20 (AS)These were the living creatures that I saw (AT)underneath the God of Israel by (AU)the Chebar canal; and I knew that they were cherubim. 21 (AV)Each had four faces, and each four wings, and underneath their wings (AW)the likeness of human hands. 22 (AX)And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the Chebar canal. (AY)Each one of them went straight forward.

10 Je regardai, et voici, sur le ciel qui était au-dessus de la tête des chérubins, il y avait comme une pierre de saphir; on voyait au-dessus d'eux quelque chose de semblable à une forme de trône.
2 Et l'Éternel dit à l'homme vêtu de lin: Va entre les roues sous les chérubins, remplis tes mains de charbons ardents que tu prendras entre les chérubins, et répands-les sur la ville! Et il y alla devant mes yeux.
3 Les chérubins étaient à la droite de la maison, quand l'homme alla, et la nuée remplit le parvis intérieur.
4 La gloire de l'Éternel s'éleva de dessus les chérubins, et se dirigea vers le seuil de la maison; la maison fut remplie de la nuée, et le parvis fut rempli de la splendeur de la gloire de l'Éternel.
5 Le bruit des ailes des chérubins se fit entendre jusqu'au parvis extérieur, pareil à la voix du Dieu tout puissant lorsqu'il parle.
6 Ainsi l'Éternel donna cet ordre à l'homme vêtu de lin: Prends du feu entre les roues, entre les chérubins! Et cet homme alla se placer près des roues.
7 Alors un chérubin étendit la main entre les chérubins vers le feu qui était entre les chérubins; il en prit, et le mit dans les mains de l'homme vêtu de lin. Et cet homme le prit, et sortit.
8 On voyait aux chérubins une forme de main d'homme sous leurs ailes.
9 Je regardai, et voici, il y avait quatre roues près des chérubins, une roue près de chaque chérubin; et ces roues avaient l'aspect d'une pierre de chrysolithe.
10 A leur aspect, toutes les quatre avaient la même forme; chaque roue paraissait être au milieu d'une autre roue.
11 En cheminant, elles allaient de leurs quatre côtés, et elles ne se tournaient point dans leur marche; mais elles allaient dans la direction de la tête, sans se tourner dans leur marche.
12 Tout le corps des chérubins, leur dos, leurs mains, et leurs ailes, étaient remplis d'yeux, aussi bien que les roues tout autour, les quatre roues.
13 J'entendis qu'on appelait les roues tourbillon.
14 Chacun avait quatre faces; la face du premier était une face de chérubin, la face du second une face d'homme, celle du troisième une face de lion, et celle du quatrième une face d'aigle.
15 Et les chérubins s'élevèrent. C'étaient les animaux que j'avais vus près du fleuve du Kebar.
16 Quand les chérubins marchaient, les roues cheminaient à côté d'eux; et quand les chérubins déployaient leurs ailes pour s'élever de terre, les roues aussi ne se détournaient point d'eux.
17 Quand ils s'arrêtaient, elles s'arrêtaient, et quand ils s'élevaient, elles s'élevaient avec eux, car l'esprit des animaux était en elles.
18 La gloire de l'Éternel se retira du seuil de la maison, et se plaça sur les chérubins.
19 Les chérubins déployèrent leurs ailes, et s'élevèrent de terre sous mes yeux quand ils partirent, accompagnés des roues. Ils s'arrêtèrent à l'entrée de la porte de la maison de l'Éternel vers l'orient; et la gloire du Dieu d'Israël était sur eux, en haut.
20 C'étaient les animaux que j'avais vus sous le Dieu d'Israël près du fleuve du Kebar, et je reconnus que c'étaient des chérubins.
21 Chacun avait quatre faces, chacun avait quatre ailes, et une forme de main d'homme était sous leurs ailes.
22 Leurs faces étaient semblables à celles que j'avais vues près du fleuve du Kebar; c'était le même aspect, c'était eux-mêmes. Chacun marchait droit devant soi.
