لِقَائِدِ المرنّمين عَلَى آلَاتٍ وَتَرِيَّةٍ، مَصحُوبَةً بِالشِّمِنِيتِ. مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ.
6 لَا تُوَبِّخْنِي يَا اللهُ فِي غَضَبِكَ!
لَا تُؤَدِّبْنِي وَأنْتَ سَاخِطٌ.
2 ارحَمْنِي يَا اللهُ فَأنَا ضَعِيفٌ،
اشفِنِي لِأنَّ عِظَامِي تَتَوَجَّعُ.
3 نَفْسِي تَرْتَعِدُ ارتِعَادًا.
فَحَتَّى مَتَى يَا اللهُ لَا تُعَزِّينِي.
4 ارْجِعْ يَا اللهُ وَأنْقِذْني،
خَلِّصْنِي بِمَحَبِّتِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ الدِّائِمَتَيْنِ.
5 لِأنَّ النَّاسَ لَا يُكرِمُونَ اسْمَكَ فِي عَالَمِ الأمْوَاتِ.
النَّاسُ فِي القُبُورِ لَا يُسَبِّحُونَكَ!
6 أنْهَكْتُ نَفْسِي طَوَالَ اللَّيلِ
بِأنِينِي وَتَنَهُّدِي،
حَتَّى غَرِقَ فِرَاشِي بِالدُّمُوعِ.
7 ذَبُلَتْ عَيْنَايَ مِنَ الحُزنِ،
وَتَعِبَتْ مِنْ كَثرَةِ الأعْدَاءِ.
8 ابْتَعِدُوا عَنِّي كُلُّكُمْ يَا فَاعِلِي الإثْمِ!
لِأنَّ اللهَ قَدْ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ صُرَاخِي.
9 سَمِعَ اللهُ تَضَرُّعَاتِي،
وَقَبِلَ صَلَاتِي.
10 سَيُذَلُّ أعْدَائِي وَيَرْتَعِدُونَ جِدًّا.
نَعَمْ، سَيَتَرَاجَعُونَ أذِلَّاءَ فَجْأةً.

لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ عَلَى الآلاتِ الْوَتَرِيَّةِ (الدَّرَجَةُ الثَّامِنَةُ). مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ
6 يَا رَبُّ لَا تُوَبِّخْنِي فِي إبَّانِ غَضَبِكَ، وَلَا تُؤَدِّبْنِي فِي احْتِدَامِ سَخَطِكَ. 2 ارْحَمْنِي يَا رَبُّ لأَنِّي ضَعِيفٌ. اشْفِنِي يَا رَبُّ لأَنَّ عِظَامِي رَاجِفَةٌ، 3 وَنَفْسِي مُرْتَعِدَةٌ جِدّاً. وَأَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ فَإِلَى مَتَى (تَنْتَظِرُ)؟ 4 ارْجِعْ يَا رَبُّ وَحَرِّرْ نَفْسِي، أَنْقِذْنِي بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِكَ. 5 إِذْ لَيْسَ فِي عَالَمِ الْمَوْتِ مَنْ يَذْكُرُكَ، أَوْ فِي مَقَرِّ الأَمْوَاتِ مَنْ يُسَبِّحُكَ. 6 لَقَدْ أَرْهَقَنِي تَنَهُّدِي، فَأُغْرِقُ سَرِيرِي فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِدُمُوعِي وَأُبَلِّلُ بِها فِرَاشِي. 7 وَهَنَتْ عَيْنَايَ مِنْ فَرْطِ الْغَمِّ، وَكَلَّتَا بِسَبَبِ جَمِيعِ خُصُومِي.
8 ابْتَعِدُوا عَنِّي يَا جَمِيعَ فَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ بُكَائِي. 9 سَمِعَ الرَّبُّ تَضَرُّعِي. الرَّبُّ يَتَقَبَّلُ صَلاتِي. 10 لِيَخْزَ جَمِيعُ أَعْدَائِي وَيَرْتَاعُوا جِدّاً، وَلْيَتَرَاجَعُوا إِذْ لَحِقَ بِهِمِ الْعَارُ فَجْأَةً.

1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger(A)
or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Have mercy on me,(B) Lord, for I am faint;(C)
heal me,(D) Lord, for my bones are in agony.(E)
3 My soul is in deep anguish.(F)
How long,(G) Lord, how long?
4 Turn,(H) Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.(I)
5 Among the dead no one proclaims your name.

6 O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
