49 نُبُوءَةٌ عَنْ بَنِي عَمُّونَ، هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ: «أَلَيْسَ لإِسْرَائِيلَ أَبْنَاءُ؟ أَلَيْسَ لَهُ وَارِثٌ؟ فَمَا بَالُ مَلِكِ الْعَمُّونِيِّينَ قَدِ اسْتَوْلَى عَلَى مِيرَاثِ سِبْطِ جَادٍ وَسَكَنَ شَعْبُهُ فِي مُدُنِهِ؟ 2 لِذَلِكَ هَا أَيَّامٌ مُقْبِلَةٌ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، أَجْعَلُ فِيهَا هُتَافَ الْقِتَالِ يَتَرَدَّدُ فِي رَبَّةِ الْعَمُّونِيِّينَ، فَتَصِيرُ تَلَّةَ أَطْلالٍ، وَتُحْرَقُ قُرَاهَا بِالنَّارِ فَيُجْلِي الإِسْرَائِيلِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَجْلَوْهُمْ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. 3 أَعْوِلِي يَا حَشْبُونُ لأَنَّ عَايَ قَدْ خَرِبَتْ. ابْكِينَ يَا بَنَاتِ رَبَّةَ وَتَمَنْطَقْنَ بِالْمُسُوحِ. انْدُبْنَ وَاذْرَعْنَ الأَرْضَ بَيْنَ السِّيَاجَاتِ فَإِنَّ مَلِكَكُنَّ سَيَذْهَبُ إِلَى السَّبْيِ مَعَ كَهَنَتِهِ وَرُؤَسَائِهِ جَمِيعاً. 4 مَا بَالُكِ تُبَاهِينَ بِالأَوْدِيَةِ أَيَّتُهَا الابْنَةُ الْمُخَادِعَةُ الَّتِي اتَّكَلَتْ عَلَى نَفَائِسِهَا قَائِلَةً: مَنْ يُهَاجِمُنِي؟ 5 هَا أَنَا أُوْقِعُ بِكِ الرُّعْبَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمُحِيطِينَ بِكِ، فَيَتَشَرَّدُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْكُمْ مَطْرُوداً، وَلَيْسَ مَنْ يَجْمَعُ شَتَاتَ الْهَارِبِينَ. 6 ثُمَّ أَعُودُ فَأَرُدُّ سَبْيَ الْعَمُّونِيِّينَ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ».

7 نُبُوءَةٌ عَنِ الأَدُومِيِّينَ: هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ: «أَلَمْ تَبْقَ فِي تِيمَانَ حِكْمَةٌ بَعْدُ؟ هَلْ بَادَتِ الْمَشُورَةُ مِنْ ذَوِي الْفَهْمِ؟ هَلْ تَلاشَتْ حِكْمَتُهُمْ؟ 8 اهْرُبُوا: أَدْبِرُوا، اخْتَبِئُوا فِي الأَعْمَاقِ يَا سُكَّانَ دَدَانَ، لأَنِّي سَأُوْقِعُ الْبَلِيَّةَ بِذُرِّيَّةِ عِيسُو فِي أَوَانِ عِقَابِهَا. 9 لَوْ أَقْبَلَ قَاطِفُو الْعِنَبِ إِلَيْكَ، أَلا يُبْقُونَ خُصَاصَةً؟ وَلَوِ انْسَلَّ اللُّصُوصُ لَيْلاً، أَلا يَقْنَعُونَ بِسَلْبِ مَا يَكْفِيهِمْ؟ 10 أَمَّا أَنَا فَقَدْ جَرَّدْتُ ذُرِّيَّةَ عِيسُو، وَكَشَفْتُ عَنْ مَخَابِئِهَا السِّرِّيَّةِ، وَلَيْسَ فِي وُسْعِهَا الاخْتِفَاءُ. هَلَكَ أَبْنَاءُ عِيسُو وَإخْوَتُهُ وَجِيرَانُهُ وَلَمْ يَبْقَ لَهُ أَثَرٌ بَعْدُ. 11 اتْرُكْ أَيْتَامَكَ فَإِنِّي أُحْيِيهِمْ، وَلْتَتَّكِلْ أَرَامِلُكَ عَلَيَّ». 12 لأَنَّ هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ: «إِنْ كَانَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَحِقُّونَ تَجَرُّعَ كَأْسِ الْعِقَابِ قَدْ تَجَرَّعُوهُ، أَتُفْلِتُ أَنْتَ مِنَ الْعِقَابِ؟ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تُفْلِتَ مِنَ الْعِقَابِ، بَلْ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تَجْرَعَهُ حَتْماً. 13 هَا أَنَا قَدْ أَقْسَمْتُ بِنَفْسِي»، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، «أَنْ تُصْبِحَ بُصْرَةُ عُرْضَةً لِلرُّعْبِ وَالْعَارِ وَالْخَرَابِ وَاللَّعْنَةِ، وَتَغْدُو مُدُنُهَا خَرَائِبَ دَائِمَةً». 14 تَبَلَّغْتُ رِسَالَةً مِنْ لَدُنِ الرَّبِّ، أَنَّ سَفِيراً قَدْ بُعِثَ إِلَى الأُمَمِ قَائِلاً: «احْشِدُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ لِمُهَاجَمَتِهَا. هُبُّوا لِلْقِتَالِ. 15 قَدْ جَعَلْتُكَ صَغِيراً فِي الأُمَمِ، حَقِيراً بَيْنَ النَّاسِ. 16 قَدْ خَدَعَكَ مَا تُثِيرُهُ مِنْ رُعْبٍ، وَأَغْوَتْكَ كِبْرِيَاءُ قَلْبِكَ، يَا مَنْ تُقِيمُ فِي شُقُوقِ الصَّخْرِ وَتَعْتَصِمُ بِقِمَّةِ التَّلِّ. وَلَكِنَّنِي سَأَطْرَحُكَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ وَلَوْ بَنَيْتَ عُشَّكَ عَالِياً كَعُشِّ النَّسْرِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. 17 سَتُصْبِحُ أَدُومُ مَثَارَ رُعْبٍ، وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَمُرُّ بِها تَعْتَرِيهِ رِعْدَةٌ، وَيَصْفَرُ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ كُلِّ نَكْبَاتِهَا، 18 وَيُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ وَمَا جَاوَرَهُمَا، مِنِ انْقِلابٍ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، فَلا يَسْكُنُ هُنَاكَ إِنْسَانٌ وَلا يَتَغَرَّبُ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ. 19 هَا هُوَ يَنْقَضُّ عَلَى الأَدُومِيِّينَ فِي مَوَاطِنِ صُخُورِهِمْ كَمَا يَنْقَضُّ فَجْأَةً أَسَدٌ مِنْ أَجَمَاتِ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ؛ وَفِي لَحْظَةٍ أَطْرُدُهُمْ مِنْهَا وَأُقِيمُ عَلَيْهَا مَنْ أَخْتَارُهُ، لأَنَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مِثْلِي؟ وَمَنْ يُحَاكِمُنِي؟ وَأَيُّ رَاعٍ يَقْوَى عَلَى مُوَاجَهَتِي؟ 20 لِذَلِكَ اسْمَعُوا مَا خَطَّطَهُ الرَّبُّ ضِدَّ أَدُومَ، وَمَا دَبَّرَهُ ضِدَّ سَاكِنِي تِيمَانَ: هَا صِغَارُ الْقَوْمِ يُجَرُّونَ، وَتَنْهَدِمُ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ. 21 مِنْ صَوْتِ سُقُوطِهِمْ تَرْجُفُ الأَرْضُ، وَأَصْدَاءُ صُرَاخِهِمْ تَبْلُغُ الْبَحْرَ الأَحْمَرَ. 22 هَا هُوَ يُحَلِّقُ كَالنَّسْرِ، وَيَنْشُرُ جَنَاحَيْهِ عَلَى بُصْرَةَ، فَتُصْبِحُ قُلُوبُ جَبَابِرَةِ أَدُومَ كَقَلْبِ امْرَأَةٍ مَاخِضٍ».

23 نُبُوءةٌ عَنْ دِمَشْقَ: «قَدْ لَحِقَ الْخِزْيُ بِحَمَاةَ وَأَرْفَادَ إِذْ بَلَغَتْهُمَا الأَنْبَاءُ الْمُزْعِجَةُ، ذَابَتَا خَوْفاً وَاضْطَرَبَتَا كَالْبَحْرِ الْهَائِجِ. 24 خَارَتْ قُوَى دِمَشْقَ وَأَدْبَرَتْ لِتَهْرُبَ، وَاسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهَا الرُّعْبُ، وَأَدْرَكَهَا الْكَرْبُ وَالأَلَمُ كَامْرَأَةٍ مَاخِضٍ. 25 كَيْفَ لَمْ يُبْقِ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ الشَّهِيرَةِ، مَدِينَةِ مَسَرَّتِي؟ 26 لِذَلِكَ سَيَتَسَاقَطُ شَبَابُهَا فِي سَاحَاتِهَا، وَيَبِيدُ جَمِيعُ جُنُودِهَا فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ. 27 سَأُضْرِمُ النَّارَ فِي سُورِ دِمَشْقَ فَتَلْتَهِمُ قُصُورَ بَنْهَدَدَ».

28 نُبُوءَةٌ عَنْ قِيدَارَ وَمَمَالِكِ حَاصُورَ الَّتِي هَاجَمَهَا نَبُوخَذْنَصَّرُ: «هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ: هُبُّوا وَازْحَفُوا عَلَى قِيدَارَ. دَمِّرُوا أُمَمَ الْمَشْرِقِ. 29 فَإِنَّ خِيَامَهُمْ وَقُطْعَانَ أَغْنَامِهِمْ يُسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهَا، وَتُؤْخَذُ أَسْتَارُهُمْ وَأَمْتِعَتُهُمْ، وَتُنْهَبُ جِمَالُهُمْ مِنْهُمْ، وَيَهْتِفُ بِهِمِ الرِّجَالُ: الرُّعْبُ يُحْدِقُ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ.
30 اهْرُبُوا سَرِيعاً. تَفَرَّقُوا. تَوَارَوْا فِي الأَعْمَاقِ يَا أَهْلَ حَاصُورَ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، لأَنَّ نَبُوخَذْنَصَّرَ مَلِكَ بَابِلَ تَآمَرَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَدَبَّرَ خُطَّتَهُ ضِدَّكُمْ. 31 هُبُّوا، وَازْحَفُوا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ مُتْرَفَةٍ تَسْكُنُ فِي طُمَأْنِينَةٍ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. لَا بَوَّابَاتِ لَهَا وَلا مَزَالِيجَ بَلْ تَسْكُنُ مُنْفَرِدَةً. 32 سَتُصْبِحُ إِبِلُهُمْ غَنِيمَةً وَمَاشِيَتُهُمْ سَلْباً، وَأُذَرِّي لِكُلِّ رِيحٍ كُلَّ مَقْصُوصِي زَوَايَا الشَّعْرِ، وَأُوْقِعُ بِهِمِ الْبَلِيَّةَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَوَانِبِهِمْ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. 33 فَتُصْبِحُ حَاصُورُ مَأْوَى لِبَنَاتِ آوَى، وَخَرَاباً إِلَى الأَبَدِ. لَا يُقِيمُ هُنَاكَ أَحَدٌ، وَلا يَتَغَرَّبُ فِيهَا إِنْسَانٌ».

34 النُّبُوءَةُ الَّتِي أَوْحَى بِها الرَّبُّ إِلَى إِرْمِيَا عَنْ عِيلامَ فِي مُسْتَهَلِّ حُكْمِ صِدْقِيَّا مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا: 35 هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ: «هَا أَنَا أُحَطِّمُ قَوْسَ عِيلامَ، عِمَادَ قُوَّتِهِمْ. 36 وَأُرْسِلُ عَلَى عِيلامَ الرِّيَاحَ الأَرْبَعَ مِنْ أَطْرَافِ السَّمَاءِ الأَرْبَعَةِ، وَأُذَرِّيهِمْ لِكُلِّ تِلْكَ الرِّيَاحِ، فَلا تَبْقَى أُمَّةٌ لَا يُسْبَى إِلَيْهَا الْعِيلامِيُّونَ. 37 وَأُفْزِعُ عِيلامَ أَمَامَ أَعْدَائِهِمْ وَأَمَامَ طَالِبِي نُفُوسِهِمْ، وَأُعَاقِبُهُمْ بِالشَّرِّ وَبِغَضَبِي اللّاهِبِ، وَأَجْعَلُ السَّيْفَ يَتَعَقَّبُهُمْ حَتَّى أُفْنِيَهُمْ. 38 وَأَنْصِبُ عَرْشِي فِي عِيلامَ، وَأَقْضِي عَلَى مَلِكِهِمْ وَعَلَى عُظَمَائِهِمْ.
39 وَلَكِنْ أَرُدُّ سَبْيَ عِيلامَ فِي الأَيَّامِ الآتِيَةِ يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ».

49 Contro i figli di Ammon. Cosí dice l'Eterno: «Israele non ha forse figli non ha egli alcun erede? Perché dunque Malkam prende possesso di Gade il suo popolo si è stabilito nelle sue città?

7 Contro Edom Cosi dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: «Non c'è piú sapienza in Teman? E' forse venuto meno il consiglio agli intelligenti? E' svanita la loro sapienza?
8 Fuggite, tornate indietro, andate ad abitare nelle profondità della terra o abitanti di Dedan, perchè farò venire la calamità di Esaù su di lui nel tempo della sua punizione.
9 Se dei vendemmiatori venissero da te non lascerebbero qualche grappoletto da racimolare? Se dei ladri venissero da te di notte distruggerebbero solo quanto loro basta.
10 Ma io metterò a nudo Esaù e scoprirò i suoi nascondigli, ed egli non potrà piú nascondersi. La sua discendenza, i suoi fratelli e i suoi vicini saranno distrutti, ed egli non sarà piú.
11 Lascia i tuoi orfani, io li conserverò in vita, e le tue vedove confidino in me».
12 Poiché cosí dice l'Eterno: «Ecco, quelli che non erano destinati a bere il calice, lo berranno certamente; e tu andresti del tutto impunito? Non andrai impunito, ma lo berrai certamente.
13 Poiché io ho giurato per me stesso», dice l'Eterno, «Botsrah diventerà un oggetto di stupore e di scherno, una desolazione e una maledizione, e tutte le sue città saranno una desolazione per sempre.

19 Ecco, egli salirà come un leone dal rigonfiamento del Giordano contro la forte dimora; io lo farò improvvisamente fuggire di là e stabilirò su di esso colui che ho scelto. Chi infatti è come me? Chi mi citerà in giudizio? Chi è dunque il pastore che può tenermi fronte?
20 Perciò ascoltate il disegno che l'Eterno ha concepito contro Edom e le decisioni che ha preso contro gli abitanti di Teman. Certo saranno trascinati via anche i piú piccoli del gregge, certo la loro dimora sarà devastata.
21 Al rumore della loro caduta la terra tremerà; il suono del loro grido sarà udito fino al Mar Rosso.
22 Ecco, il nemico sale, spicca il volo come l'aquila e spiega le sue ali verso Botsrah e il cuore dei prodi di Edom in quel giorno sarà come il cuore di una donna nelle doglie di parto».
23 Contro Damasco. Hamath e Arpad sono coperte di vergogna, perché hanno udito una cattiva notizia, vengono meno; c'è grande tormento sul mare che non può essere calmato.
24 Damasco è divenuta fiacca, si volge per fuggire, un tremito l'ha colta; angoscia e dolori l'assalgono come una donna che sta per partorire.
25 «Come mai non è stata abbandonata la città della lode, la città della mia gioia?
26 Perciò i suoi giovani cadranno nelle sue piazze e tutti gli uomini di guerra periranno in quel giorno», dice l'Eterno degli eserciti.
27 «Io appiccherò il fuoco alle mura di Damasco, ed esso divorerà i palazzi di Ben-Hadad».
28 Contro Kedar e i regni di Hatsor, che Nebukadnetsar, re di Babilonia, sconfisse. Cosí dice l'Eterno: «Levatevi, salite contro Kedar e distruggete i figli dell'est.
29 Le loro tende e le loro greggi saranno prese; i loro padiglioni, tutti i loro attrezzi e i loro cammelli saranno portati via; si griderà loro: "spavento da tutte le parti
30 Fuggite, andate lontano ad abitare nelle profondità della terra, o abitanti di Hatsor», dice l'Eterno, «poiché Nebukadnetsar, re di Babilonia, ha formato un disegno contro di voi, ha concepito un piano contro di voi.
31 Levatevi, salite contro una nazione tranquilla che abita al sicuro», dice l'Eterno, «che non ha né porte né sbarre e dimora solitaria.
32 I loro cammelli saranno portati via come bottino e il gran numero del loro bestiame come preda. Io disperderò a tutti i venti quelli che si tagliano gli angoli della barba e farò venire la loro calamità da tutte le parti», dice l'Eterno.
33 «Hatsor diventerà una dimora di sciacalli, una desolazione per sempre; nessuno piú vi abiterà né alcun figlio d'uomo vi dimorerà».
34 La parola dell'Eterno che fu rivolta al profeta Geremia contro Elam, all'inizio del regno di Sedekia, re di Giuda, dicendo:
35 «Cosí dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: Ecco, io spezzerò l'arco di Elam, il nerbo della sua forza.
36 Io farò venire contro Elam i quattro venti dalle quattro estremità del cielo; li disperderò a tutti quei venti e non ci sarà nazione dove non giungano i fuggiaschi di Elam.
37 Renderò gli Elamiti spaventati davanti ai loro nemici e davanti a quelli che cercano la loro vita; farò venire su di loro la calamità, la mia ira ardente», dice l'Eterno. «Manderò dietro di loro la spada finché non li avrò consumati.
38 Porrò quindi il mio trono in Elam e ne farò perire i re e i principi», dice l'Eterno.
39 «Ma negli ultimi giorni avverrà che farò ritornare Elam dalla cattività», dice l'Eterno.

رِسَالَةُ اللهِ إلَى عَمُّون
49 رِسَالَةٌ عَنِ العَمُّونِيِّينَ. هَذَا هُوَ مَا يَقُولُهُ اللهُ:
«ألَا يُوجَدُ لِإسْرَائِيلَ أبْنَاءٌ؟
ألَا يُوجَدُ لَهُ وَارِثٌ؟
إذًا لِمَاذَا يَمْتَلِكُ عَابِدُو مُولَكَ مُدُنَ جَادٍ،
وَلِمَاذَا يَعِيشُ شَعْبُ مُولَكَ فِي مُدُنِ جَادٍ؟»
2 يَقُولُ اللهُ:
«لِذَلِكَ سَتَأْتِي أيَّامٌ،
حِينَ أُطلِقُ صَوْتَ نِدَاءِ المَعْرَكَةِ
عَلَى رَبَّةِ العَمُّونِيِّينَ،
سَتَصِيرُ تَلًّا خَرِبًا.
كُلُّ القُرَى المُحِيطَةِ بِهَا سَتُحرَقُ بِالنَّارِ.
وَسَيَمْتَلِكُ بَنُو إسْرَائِيلَ الَّذِينَ امتَلَكُوهُمْ،»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
3 «وَلْوِلِي يَا حَشبُونُ،
لِأنَّ عَايًا، قَدْ خَرِبَتْ.
اصرُخنَ يَا بَنَاتِ رَبَّةَ.
البَسْنَ الخَيْشَ،
وَلْوِلْنَ وَطُفْنَ بَيْنَ حَظَائِرِ الغَنَمِ.
اعمَلْنَ هَذَا لِأنَّ مُولَكَ سَيَذْهَبُ إلَى السَّبيِ
مَعَ كَهَنَتِهِ وَرُؤَسَائِهِ.
4 لِمَاذَا تَتَفَاخَرِينَ بِقُوَّتِكِ؟
قُوَّتُكِ سَتَنهَارُ أيَّتُهَا البِنتُ الخَائِنَةُ!
تَثِقينَ بِثَروَتِكِ وَتَقُولِينَ:
‹مَنْ يَقْدِرُ أنْ يُهَاجِمَنِي؟›»
5 يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ القَديرُ:
«سَآتِي بِالخَوفِ عَلَيْكِ
مِنْ كُلِّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ حَوْلَكِ.
كُلُّكُمْ سَتُطرَدُونَ،
وَلَنْ يَكُونَ هُنَاكَ جَمعٌ لِلتَّائِهِينَ.»
6 يَقُولُ اللهُ: «وَبَعْدَ هَذَا، سَأُعِيدُ مَا سُبِيَ مِنَ العَمُّونِيِّينَ.»
رِسَالَةُ اللهِ إلَى أدُوم
7 رِسَالَةٌ عَنْ أدُومَ. هَذَا هُوَ مَا يَقُولُهُ اللهُ القَدِيرُ:
«ألَمْ تَعُدْ هُنَاكَ حِكمَةٌ فِي تَيمَانَ؟
هَلْ بَادَتِ القُدرَةُ عَلَى إعطَاءِ النَّصِيحَةِ مِنَ الفُهَمَاءِ؟
هَلْ فُقِدَتْ حِكمَتُهُمْ؟
8 يَا سُكَّانَ دَدَانَ، اهْرُبُوا، ارْجِعُوا وَاخْتَبِئُوا.
لِأنِّي سَأجْلِبُ رُعبًا عَلَى عِيسُو، وَقْتَ عِقَابِي لَهُ.
9 «إنْ جَاءَ قَاطِفُو العِنَبِ إلَيْكَ،
فَإنَّهُمْ يَتْرُكُونَ بَعْضَ العَنَاقِيدِ.
وَإنْ أتَى اللُّصُوصُ فِي اللَّيلِ،
فَإنَّهُمْ يَنْهَبُونَ مَا يُرِيدُونَ فَقَطْ.
10 أمَّا أنَا فَقَدْ جَرَّدْتُ عِيسُو تَمَامًا،
كَشَفتُ أمَاكِنَهُ المُسْتَتِرَةَ،
حَتَّى لَا يَسْتَطِيعَ أنْ يَخْتَبِئَ.
سَيُقضَى عَلَى نَسْلِهِ وَعَائِلَتِهِ وَأصْحَابِهِ،
فَلَا يَعُودُ لَهُ وُجُودٌ فِيمَا بَعْدُ.
11 اترُكْ يَتَامَاكَ،
وَأنَا سَأُعْطِيهِمْ حَيَاةً.
اترُكْ أرَامِلَكَ،
وَسَيَتَّكِلْنَ عَلَيَّ.»
12 لِأنَّ هَذَا هُوَ مَا يَقُولُهُ اللهُ: «بَعْضُ الَّذِينَ سَيَشْرَبُونَ كَأسَ الغَضَبِ لَمْ يُتَّهَمُوا بِخَطيَّةٍ، أمَّا أنْتَ يَا أدُومُ فَقَدْ أخطَأتَ، وَلِذَا فَإنَّكَ حَتمًا سَتَشْرَبُ مِنْ كَأسِ غَضَبِ اللهِ. 13 فَأنَا قَدْ أقْسَمْتُ بِذَاتِي، يَقُولُ اللهُ، إنَّكَ سَتَصِيرُ خَرَابًا وَسَبَبَ رُعبٍ وَسُخْرِيَةٍ وَلَعنَةً. سَتَصِيرُ بُصرَةُ وَمُدُنُهَا خَرَابًا أبَدِيًّا.»
14 سَمِعْتُ خَبَرًا مِنَ اللهِ،
وَأرْسَلَ رَسُولًا إلَى الأُمَمِ يَقُولُ:
«تَجَمَّعُوا وَتَعَالَوْا عَلَى أدُومَ،
وَانْهَضُوا لِلمَعرَكَةِ.
15 هَا إنِّي سَأجَعَلُكَ صَغِيرًا بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ يَا أدُومُ،
وَسَتَكُونُ مُحتَقَرًا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ.
16 خُدِعْتَ بِقُدرَتِكَ عَلَى إثَارَةِ الرُّعبِ،
وَبِكِبرِيَاءِ قَلْبِكَ.
أيُّهَا السَّاكِنُ فِي شُقُوقِ الصَّخرِ،
وَالمَالِكُ التَّلَّةَ المُرْتَفِعَةَ.
مَعَ أنَّكَ تَجْعَلُ عُشَّكَ مُرْتَفِعًا كَمَا يَعْمَلُ النَّسرُ،
لَكِنِّي سَأُنزِلُكَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ.»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
17 «سَتُصبِحُ أدُومُ مَثَارَ رُعبٍ لِغَيرِهَا،
وَسَيَذْعَرُ وَيَنْدَهِشُ كُلُّ مَنْ يَمُرُّ فِيهَا.
18 كَمَا انقَلَبَتْ سَدُومُ وَعَمُورَةُ وَسُكَّانُهَا،
هَكَذَا لَنْ يَسْكُنَ أحَدٌ هُنَاكَ،
وَلَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ فِيهَا أحَدٌ.»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
19 كَمَا يَصْعَدُ أسَدٌ مِنْ أدغَالِ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ إلَى مَرعَىً دَائِمٍ، هَكَذَا سَأطرُدُ أدُومَ سَرِيعًا مِنْ هَذِهِ الأرْضِ، وَسَأُعَيِّنُ مَنْ أختَارُهُ. لِأنَّهُ مَنْ مِثْلِي؟ وَمَنْ سَيَدْعُونِي إلَى المَحْكَمَةِ؟ وَمَنْ هُوَ الرَّاعِي الَّذِي يَقِفُ أمَامِي؟
20 لِذَلِكَ اسْمَعُوا قَضَاءَ اللهِ عَلَى أدُومَ،
وَالأحكَامَ الَّتِي قَرَّرَهَا ضِدَّ سُكَّانِ تَيمَانَ.
سَيُسْحَبُ الصِّغَارُ كَالغَنَمِ،
وَلَنْ يَبْقَى أحَدٌ فِي المَرَاعِي بِسَبِبِ ذَلِكَ.
21 سَتَرْتَجِفُ الأرْضُ
مِنْ صَوْتِ سُقُوطِهِمْ.
وَسَيُسمَعُ صَوْتُ صُرَاخِهِمْ حَتَّى فِي البَحْرِ الأحْمَرِ.
22 سَأكُونُ كَالنَّسرِ الَّذِي يَرْتَفِعُ وَيَنْطَلِقُ
وَيَبْسُطُ جَنَاحَيهِ عَلَى بُصْرَةَ،
وَقَلْبُ جَبَابِرَةِ أدُومَ
سَيَصِيرُ كَقَلْبِ امْرأةٍ تَتَمَخَّضُ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ.
رِسَالَةُ اللهِ عَنْ دِمَشق
23 رِسَالَةُ اللهِ عَنْ دِمَشقَ:
«خَزِيَتْ حَمَاةُ وَأرفَادُ،
لِأنَّهُمَا سَمِعَتَا خَبَرًا رَدِيئًا.
ذَابَ سُكَّانُهُمَا مِنَ الخَوفِ،
وَاضطَرَبُوا كَبَحرٍ هَائِجٍ لَا يَهْدَأُ.
24 ضَعُفَتْ دِمَشقُ.
التَفَتَتْ لِتَهْرُبَ،
لَكِنَّ الرُّعبَ أمسَكَهَا.
أمسَكَتْهَا الرَّعدَةُ وَالألَمُ.
مِثْلَ امْرأةٍ تَلِدُ.
25 «كَيْفَ لَمْ تُهْجَرِ المَدِينَةُ السَّعِيدَةُ بَعْدُ،
مَدِينَةُ المُتْعَةِ؟
26 لِذَلِكَ، سَيَسْقُطُ شَبَابُهَا فِي سَاحَاتِهَا،
وَجُنُودُهَا سَيُقْتَلُونَ فِي ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ،»
يَقُولُ اللهُ القَدِيرُ.
27 «سَأُشعِلُ نَارًا فِي أسْوَارِ دِمَشقَ،
وَسَتَلْتَهِمُ قُصُورَ بَنْهَدَدَ.»
رِسَالَةُ اللهِ عَنْ قِيدَارَ وَحَاصُور
28 رِسَالَةٌ بِخُصُوصِ قِيدَارَ وَمَمَالِكِ حَاصُورَ الَّتِي ضَرَبَهَا نَبُوخَذْنَاصَّرُ، مَلِكُ بَابِلَ. هَذَا هُوَ مَا يَقُولُهُ اللهُ:
«قُومُوا وَاصعَدُوا إلَى قِيدَارَ،
وَاضرِبُوا سُكَّانَ المَشْرِقِ.
29 خِيَمُهُمْ وَقُطعَانُهُمْ سَتُؤخَذُ،
مَعَ سَتَائِرِ خِيَمِهِمُ الدَّاخِلِيَّةِ وَآنِيَتِهِمْ.
سَيَأْخُذُونَ جِمَالَهُمْ، وَيُنَادُونَ إلَيْهِمْ:
‹الرُّعبُ مِنْ حَوْلِكُمْ،›
30 اهرُبُوا!
فِرُّوا بَعِيدًا!
اختَبِئُوا، يَا سُكَّانَ حَاصُورَ،»
يَقُولُ اللهُ،
«لِأنَّ نَبُوخَذْنَاصَّرَ، مَلِكَ بَابِلَ،
قَدْ وَضَعَ عَلَيْكُمْ خُطَطًا،
وَتَآمَرَ عَلَيْكُمْ.
31 «قُومُوا! حَارِبُوا أُمَّةً تَسْكُنُ بِاطمِئنَانٍ،
أُمَّةً تَشْعُرُ بِالأمَانِ وَالحِمَايَةِ.
لَيْسَ لَهَا بَوَّابَاتٌ أوْ عَوَارِضُ،
وَتَسْكَنُ وَحدَهَا.»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
32 «سَتَصِيرُ جِمَالُهُمْ غَنِيمَةً،
وَمَاشِيَتُهُمُ الكَثِيرَةُ سَلْبًا.
وَسَأُبَدِّدُ الشَّعْبَ مَحلُوقَ السَّوَالِفِ[a]
إلَى جِهَاتِ الرِّيَاحِ الأرْبَعِ.
وَسَأجْلِبُ المَصَائِبَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ الجِهَاتِ،»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
33 «وَسَتَصِيرُ حَاصُورُ مَسكَنًا لِبَنَاتِ آوَى،
وَمَكَانًا خَرِبًا إلَى الأبَدِ.
لَنْ يَسْكُنَ هُنَاكَ أحَدٌ،
وَلَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ فِيهَا أحَدٌ.»
رِسَالَةُ اللهِ عَنْ عِيلَام
34 هَذِهِ هِيَ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ الَّتِي أتَتْ إلَى إرْمِيَا النَّبِيِّ بِخُصُوصِ عِيلَامَ فِي بِدَايَةِ مُلكِ صِدْقِيَّا مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا.
35 هَذَا هُوَ مَا يَقُولُهُ اللهُ القَدِيرُ:
«سَأُكَسِّرُ قُوَّةَ عِيلَامَ العَسكَرِيَّةَ،
سَأُكَسِّرُ قُوَّتَهَا العَظِيمَةَ،
36 سَأجْلِبُ عَلَى عِيلَامَ الرِّيَاحَ الأرْبَعَ
مِنْ أرْبَعِ زَوَايَا السَّمَاءِ.
سَأُبَدِّدُهُمْ إلَى جِهَاتِ الرِّيحِ الأرْبَعِ،
وَلَنْ تَكُونَ هُنَاكَ أُمَّةٌ لَنْ يُطرَدَ إلَيْهَا شَعْبُ عِيلَامَ.
37 سَأُحَطِّمُ شَعْبَ عِيلَامَ أمَامَ أعْدَائِهِمْ،
وَأمَامَ مَنْ يُرِيدُونَ قَتْلَهُمْ.
وَسَأجْلِبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ألَمًا،
لِأُرِيهِمْ غَضَبِي عَلَيْهِمْ،
وَسَأطرُدُهُمْ بِالحَرْبِ حَتَّى أُفنِيهِمْ.»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
38 «سَأضَعُ عَرشِي فِي عِيلَامَ،
سَأُلَاشِي المَلِكَ وَالرُّؤَسَاءَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ.»
يَقُولُ اللهُ.
39 «وَلَكِنْ بَعْدَ تِلْكَ الأيَّامِ،
سَأُعِيدُ مَا أُخِذَ مِنْ عِيلَامَ.» يَقُولُ اللهُ.

A Message About Ammon
49 Concerning the Ammonites:(A)
This is what the Lord says:
“Has Israel no sons?
Has Israel no heir?
Why then has Molek[a](B) taken possession of Gad?(C)
Why do his people live in its towns?
2 But the days are coming,”
declares the Lord,
“when I will sound the battle cry(D)
against Rabbah(E) of the Ammonites;
it will become a mound of ruins,(F)
and its surrounding villages will be set on fire.
Then Israel will drive out
those who drove her out,(G)”
says the Lord.
3 “Wail, Heshbon,(H) for Ai(I) is destroyed!
Cry out, you inhabitants of Rabbah!
Put on sackcloth(J) and mourn;
rush here and there inside the walls,
for Molek(K) will go into exile,(L)
together with his priests and officials.
4 Why do you boast of your valleys,
boast of your valleys so fruitful?
Unfaithful Daughter Ammon,(M)
you trust in your riches(N) and say,
‘Who will attack me?’(O)
5 I will bring terror on you
from all those around you,”
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
“Every one of you will be driven away,
and no one will gather the fugitives.(P)
6 “Yet afterward, I will restore(Q) the fortunes of the Ammonites,”
declares the Lord.
A Message About Edom(R)(S)
7 Concerning Edom:(T)
This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“Is there no longer wisdom in Teman?(U)
Has counsel perished from the prudent?
Has their wisdom decayed?
8 Turn and flee, hide in deep caves,(V)
you who live in Dedan,(W)
for I will bring disaster on Esau
at the time when I punish him.
9 If grape pickers came to you,
would they not leave a few grapes?
If thieves came during the night,
would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
10 But I will strip Esau bare;
I will uncover his hiding places,(X)
so that he cannot conceal himself.
His armed men are destroyed,
also his allies and neighbors,
so there is no one(Y) to say,
11 ‘Leave your fatherless children;(Z) I will keep them alive.
Your widows(AA) too can depend on me.’”
12 This is what the Lord says: “If those who do not deserve to drink the cup(AB) must drink it, why should you go unpunished?(AC) You will not go unpunished, but must drink it. 13 I swear(AD) by myself,” declares the Lord, “that Bozrah(AE) will become a ruin and a curse,[b] an object of horror(AF) and reproach;(AG) and all its towns will be in ruins forever.”(AH)
14 I have heard a message from the Lord;
an envoy was sent to the nations to say,
“Assemble yourselves to attack it!
Rise up for battle!”
15 “Now I will make you small among the nations,
despised by mankind.
16 The terror you inspire
and the pride(AI) of your heart have deceived you,
you who live in the clefts of the rocks,(AJ)
who occupy the heights of the hill.
Though you build your nest(AK) as high as the eagle’s,
from there I will bring you down,”
declares the Lord.
17 “Edom will become an object of horror;(AL)
all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff
because of all its wounds.(AM)
18 As Sodom(AN) and Gomorrah(AO) were overthrown,
along with their neighboring towns,”
says the Lord,
“so no one will live there;
no people will dwell(AP) in it.
19 “Like a lion(AQ) coming up from Jordan’s thickets(AR)
to a rich pastureland,
I will chase Edom from its land in an instant.
Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this?
Who is like(AS) me and who can challenge me?(AT)
And what shepherd(AU) can stand against me?”
20 Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Edom,(AV)
what he has purposed(AW) against those who live in Teman:(AX)
The young of the flock(AY) will be dragged away;
their pasture will be appalled at their fate.(AZ)
21 At the sound of their fall the earth will tremble;(BA)
their cry(BB) will resound to the Red Sea.[c]
22 Look! An eagle will soar and swoop(BC) down,
spreading its wings over Bozrah.(BD)
In that day the hearts of Edom’s warriors(BE)
will be like the heart of a woman in labor.(BF)
A Message About Damascus
23 Concerning Damascus:(BG)
“Hamath(BH) and Arpad(BI) are dismayed,
for they have heard bad news.
They are disheartened,
troubled like[d] the restless sea.(BJ)
24 Damascus has become feeble,
she has turned to flee
and panic has gripped her;
anguish and pain have seized her,
pain like that of a woman in labor.(BK)
25 Why has the city of renown not been abandoned,
the town in which I delight?
26 Surely, her young men(BL) will fall in the streets;
all her soldiers will be silenced(BM) in that day,”
declares the Lord Almighty.
27 “I will set fire(BN) to the walls of Damascus;(BO)
it will consume(BP) the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.(BQ)”
A Message About Kedar and Hazor
28 Concerning Kedar(BR) and the kingdoms of Hazor,(BS) which Nebuchadnezzar(BT) king of Babylon attacked:
This is what the Lord says:
“Arise, and attack Kedar
and destroy the people of the East.(BU)
29 Their tents and their flocks(BV) will be taken;
their shelters will be carried off
with all their goods and camels.
People will shout to them,
‘Terror(BW) on every side!’
30 “Flee quickly away!
Stay in deep caves,(BX) you who live in Hazor,(BY)”
declares the Lord.
“Nebuchadnezzar(BZ) king of Babylon has plotted against you;
he has devised a plan against you.
31 “Arise and attack a nation at ease,
which lives in confidence,”
declares the Lord,
“a nation that has neither gates nor bars;(CA)
its people live far from danger.
32 Their camels(CB) will become plunder,
and their large herds(CC) will be spoils of war.
I will scatter to the winds(CD) those who are in distant places[e](CE)
and will bring disaster on them from every side,”
declares the Lord.
33 “Hazor(CF) will become a haunt of jackals,(CG)
a desolate(CH) place forever.
No one will live there;
no people will dwell(CI) in it.”
A Message About Elam
34 This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam,(CJ) early in the reign of Zedekiah(CK) king of Judah:
35 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
“See, I will break the bow(CL) of Elam,
the mainstay of their might.
36 I will bring against Elam the four winds(CM)
from the four quarters of heaven;(CN)
I will scatter them to the four winds,
and there will not be a nation
where Elam’s exiles do not go.
37 I will shatter Elam before their foes,
before those who want to kill them;
I will bring disaster on them,
even my fierce anger,”(CO)
declares the Lord.
“I will pursue them with the sword(CP)
until I have made an end of them.
38 I will set my throne in Elam
and destroy her king and officials,”
declares the Lord.
39 “Yet I will restore(CQ) the fortunes of Elam
in days to come,”
declares the Lord.
