17 나는 주께서 도와주시기를 기다리리라.
주께서는 야곱 집안에서 얼굴을 돌리셨지만
나는 그분께 희망을 두리라.

18 나와 주께서 주신 내 아이들을 보라. 우리가 바로 시온 산에 사시는 만군의 주님께서 이스라엘 안에 세워주신 표징이고 상징이다.

19 사람들이 너희에게 이렇게 말한다.

“속삭이고 중얼거리는 귀신들과 영혼들에게 물어 보라. 백성이 자기의 신들에게 물어보는 것이 당연하지 않느냐? 산 사람을 위해서 죽은 돌아가신 조상들의 혼에게

17 And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

19 When someone tells you to consult(H) mediums and spiritists,(I) who whisper and mutter,(J) should not a people inquire(K) of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?
