Isaiah 8:17-19

New International Version

¹⁷I will wait^(A) for the Lord,
who is hiding^(B) his face from the descendants of Jacob.
I will put my trust in him.^(C)

¹⁸Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me.^(D) We are signs^(E) and symbols^(F) in Israel from the Lord Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.^(G)

¹⁹When someone tells you to consult^(H) mediums and spiritists,^(I) who whisper and mutter,^(J) should not a people inquire^(K) of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?
