구원받은 사람들의 노래
14 그때에 내가 보니, 어린양이 시온 산[a]에 서 있었습니다. 그리고 십사만 사천 명의 사람들이 어린양과 함께 서 있었는데, 그 사람들의 이마에는 어린양의 이름과 어린양의 아버지의 이름이 쓰여 있었습니다. 2 그리고 나는 하늘에서 많은 물이 힘차게 흐르는 소리와도 같고, 큰 천둥소리와도 같은 소리를 들었습니다. 내가 들은 소리는 하프를 연주하는 사람들이 그들의 악기를 연주하는 소리와 같았습니다. 3 그 사람들은 보좌와 네 생물과 장로들 앞에서 새 노래를 불렀습니다. 땅으로부터 구출된 십사만 사천 명의 사람들 말고는 아무도 그 노래를 배울 수 없었습니다. 4 이들은 여자들과 어울려 부도덕한 성 관계로 몸을 더럽힌 적이 없이 정절을 지킨 사람들이었습니다. 이들은 어린양이 어디를 가든지 따라갑니다. 이들은 땅 위의 사람들 가운데서 구출하여 추수의 첫 열매로 하나님과 어린양에게 바쳐진 사람들입니다. 5 그들의 입에서는 거짓말을 찾아볼 수 없었습니다. 그들은 흠 잡힐 것이 하나도 없는 사람들입니다.
세 천사
6 또 나는 한 천사가 하늘 높이 날아다니는 것을 보았습니다. 그 천사는 땅 위에 살고 있는 사람들, 곧 모든 민족과 종족과 언어와 백성에게 전할 영원한 기쁜 소식을 가지고 있었습니다. 7 그는 큰 목소리로 말하였습니다. “하나님을 두려워하고 그분께 영광을 돌려라. 그분께서 심판하실 때가 왔다. 하늘과 땅과 바다와 샘을 창조하신 그분을 경배하여라.”
8 또 두 번째 천사가 뒤따라와서 말하였습니다. “무너졌다! 위대한 도성 바빌론이 무너졌다! 바빌론은 모든 민족을 유혹하여, 그들로 하여금 자기의 부도덕한 정욕으로 빚은 포도주를 마시게 한 도성이다!”
9 또 세 번째 다른 천사가 두 천사를 뒤따라와서 큰 소리로 말하였습니다. “누구든지 짐승과 그 짐승의 상을 섬기고 이마나 손에 짐승의 표시를 받았으면, 10 그 사람도 하나님의 진노의 포도주를 마실 것이다. 그것은 물을 섞어 묽게 하지 않은 포도주, 곧 하나님의 진노의 잔에 부어 넣은 강한 포도주이다. 그 사람은 거룩한 천사들과 어린양 앞에서 이글거리는 유황불로 고통을 당할 것이다. 11 그들을 괴롭히는 유황불의 연기가 영원무궁하도록 피어오를 것이다. 짐승과 그 짐승의 상을 섬기거나, 그 짐승의 이름의 표를 받는 사람은, 밤이나 낮이나 한시도 편히 쉬지 못할 것이다.” 12 그러므로 하나님의 계명을 지키고 예수에 대한 믿음을 지키는 성도들은 참고 견디어야 합니다.
13 그때에 나는 하늘에서 들려오는 목소리를 들었습니다. “‘이제부터 주 안에서 죽은 사람들은 복이 있다.’ 라고 써라.”
성령께서 말씀하셨습니다. “그렇다. 그들이 한 일의 기록이 그들의 뒤를 따를 것이니, 그들은 힘든 일로부터 쉬게 될 것이다.”
땅을 추수하다
14 내가 보니, 내 앞에 흰 구름이 있었습니다. 그리고 그 흰 구름 위에는 사람처럼 보이는 이가 앉아 계셨습니다. 그분은 머리에 금관을 쓰고, 손에는 날이 선 낫을 들고 계셨습니다. 15 그리고 또 다른 천사가 성전에서 나왔습니다. 이 천사는 구름 위에 앉아 계신 분께 큰 소리로 말하였습니다. “당신의 낫을 들어 거두어들이십시오. 땅의 곡식이 무르익어 거두어들일 때가 되었습니다.” 16 그러자 구름 위에 앉은 그분이 땅 위로 낫을 휘둘러 땅의 곡식을 거두어들였습니다.
17 또 한 천사가 하늘에 있는 성전에서 나왔습니다. 이 천사도 날이 선 낫을 가지고 있었습니다. 18 그리고 또 다른 천사가 제단에서 나왔습니다. 그는 불을 다스리는 권세를 가진 천사였습니다. 그는 날이 선 낫을 가진 천사에게 소리쳤습니다. “날이 선 당신의 낫을 들어서 땅의 포도나무 덩굴에서 포도송이들을 거두십시오. 포도가 다 익었습니다.” 19 천사는 땅 위로 자기의 낫을 휘둘러서, 땅의 포도를 거두어서 하나님의 진노의 포도주 틀에 던져 넣었습니다. 그것은 큰 포도주 틀이었습니다. 20 그것은 도성 밖에 있었습니다. 그들이 포도를 거기에 넣고 밟았습니다. 그러자 피가 흘러나와 말굴레에 닿을 정도의 홍수를 이루어 삼백 킬로미터 가량이나 퍼져 나갔습니다.

14 나는 어린 양이 시온산에 서 계시는 것을 보았습니다. 그리고 그분과 함 께 144,000명이 서 있었습니다. 그들의 이마에는 어린 양과 그의 아버지의 이름이 쓰여 있었습니다.
2 나는 또 폭포 소리와 큰 천둥 같은 소리가 하늘에서 울려 오는 것을 들었는데 그 소리는 거문고를 타는 소리처럼 들렸습니다.
3 그들은 보좌와 네 생물과 장로들 앞에서 새 노래를 부르고 있었습니다. 그러나 그 노래는 땅에서 구원을 받은 144,000명 외에는 아무도 배울 사람이 없었습니다.
4 이들은 여자들과 더불어 자신을 더럽히지 않고 순결을 지킨 사람들로서 어린 양이 어디로 가든지 따라가는 자들입니다. 이들은 또 사람들 가운데서 사서 하나님과 어린 양에게 첫열매로 바쳐진 사람들이며
5 거짓말을 하지 않고 흠이 없는 자들입니다.
6 나는 또 다른 천사가 공중에 날아가는 것을 보았습니다. 그는 나라와 종족과 언어를 초월하여 세계 모든 민족에게 전할 영원한 기쁜 소식을 가지고 있었습니다.
7 그 천사가 큰 소리로 “너희는 하나님을 두려워하고 그분에게 영광을 돌려라. 하나님께서 심판하실 때가 왔으니 너희는 하늘과 땅과 바다와 샘을 만드신 분에게 경배하여라” 하고 외쳤습니다.
8 또 둘째 천사가 그 뒤를 이어 “큰 도시 바빌론이 무너졌다! 모든 나라에 음란의 독한 술을 마시게 한 바빌론이 무너졌다!” 하고 외쳤습니다.
9 또 셋째 천사가 그 뒤를 이어 큰 소리로 이렇게 외쳤습니다. “누구든지 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하고 자기 이마나 손에 짐승의 표를 받으면
10 그 사람도 하나님의 가차없는 벌을 받고 거룩한 천사들과 어린 양 앞에서 불과 유황으로 고통을 당할 것이다.
11 그리고 그 고통의 연기가 그치지 않고 영원히 올라갈 것이다. 짐승과 그의 우상에게 경배하고 그 이름의 표를 받는 사람은 밤낮 쉬지 못할 것이다.
12 그래서 하나님의 계명을 지키며 예수님을 충실히 믿는 성도들은 이런 때 인내가 필요하다.”
13 그때 나는 하늘에서 “기록하라. 지금부터 주님을 믿고 죽는 사람은 행복하다” 라고 말하는 음성을 들었습니다. 그러자 성령님도 “그렇다. 그들은 괴로운 수고에서 벗어나 쉬게 될 것이다. 이것은 그들의 행한 일이 그들을 따라다니기 때문이다” 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
땅의 추수
14 그 후 나는 흰 구름 위에 [a]그리스도 같은 분이 앉아 계시는 것을 보았습니다. 그분은 머리에 금관을 쓰고 손에는 날카로운 낫을 들고 있었습니다.
15 그때 다른 한 천사가 성전에서 나와 구름 위에 앉아 계시는 분에게 큰 소리로 “낫을 휘둘러 거두십시오. 땅의 곡식이 무르익어 거둘 때가 되었습니다” 하고 외쳤습니다.
16 그래서 구름 위에 앉아 계시는 분이 땅에 낫을 휘두르자 곡식이 거두어졌습니다.
17 또 다른 천사가 하늘에 있는 성전에서 나왔는데 그 천사도 날카로운 낫을 들고 있었습니다.
18 또 불을 관리하는 다른 천사가 제단에서 나와 날카로운 낫을 가진 천사에게 큰 소리로 “땅의 포도송이가 무르익었으니 낫으로 포도송이를 거두시오” 하고 외쳤습니다.
19 그러자 그 천사가 땅 위에 낫을 휘둘러 포도송이를 거두어 하나님의 진노의 큰 포도주틀 속에 던져 넣었습니다.
20 포도가 성 밖 포도주틀에서 짓밟히자 피가 흘러 나와 말굴레에까지 닿았고 약 [b]300킬로미터까지 흘러 나갔습니다.

The Lamb and the 144,000
14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb,(A) standing on Mount Zion,(B) and with him 144,000(C) who had his name and his Father’s name(D) written on their foreheads.(E) 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters(F) and like a loud peal of thunder.(G) The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.(H) 3 And they sang a new song(I) before the throne and before the four living creatures(J) and the elders.(K) No one could learn the song except the 144,000(L) who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins.(M) They follow the Lamb wherever he goes.(N) They were purchased from among mankind(O) and offered as firstfruits(P) to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths;(Q) they are blameless.(R)
The Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair,(S) and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth(T)—to every nation, tribe, language and people.(U) 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God(V) and give him glory,(W) because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made(X) the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”(Y)
8 A second angel followed and said, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’[a](Z) which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.”(AA)
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast(AB) and its image(AC) and receives its mark on their forehead(AD) or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury,(AE) which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.(AF) They will be tormented with burning sulfur(AG) in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever.(AH) There will be no rest day or night(AI) for those who worship the beast and its image,(AJ) or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.”(AK) 12 This calls for patient endurance(AL) on the part of the people of God(AM) who keep his commands(AN) and remain faithful to Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord(AO) from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit,(AP) “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
Harvesting the Earth and Trampling the Winepress
14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud,(AQ) and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man[b](AR) with a crown(AS) of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple(AT) and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle(AU) and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest(AV) of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.(AW) 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar(AX) and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle(AY) and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath.(AZ) 20 They were trampled in the winepress(BA) outside the city,(BB) and blood(BC) flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.[c]

3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

The Proclamations of Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel (M)flying in the midst of heaven, (N)having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—(O)to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7 saying with a loud voice, (P)“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; (Q)and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
8 And another angel followed, saying, (R)“Babylon[f] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because (S)she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, (T)“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his (U)mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself (V)shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is (W)poured out full strength into (X)the cup of His indignation. 12 (AB)Here is the [g]patience of the saints; (AC)here[h] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying [i]to me, “Write: (AD)‘Blessed are the dead (AE)who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, (AF)“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow (AG)them.”
Reaping the Earth’s Harvest
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel (AH)came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, (AI)“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come [j]for You to reap, for the harvest (AJ)of the earth is ripe.” 16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
Reaping the Grapes of Wrath
17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, (AK)who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, (AL)“Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into (AM)the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And (AN)the winepress was trampled (AO)outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, (AP)up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred [k]furlongs.
