두 짐승
13 또 나는 바다에서 한 짐승이 올라오는 것을 보았습니다. 그 짐승은 열 개 의 뿔과 일곱 개의 머리를 가졌는데 그 뿔에는 열 개의 왕관이 있고 머리마다 하나님을 모독하는 이름이 쓰여 있었습니다.
2 내가 본 그 짐승은 표범과 비슷하고 발은 곰의 발 같으며 입은 사자의 입과 같았습니다. 용은 짐승에게 자기의 능력과 왕좌와 큰 권세를 주었습니다.
3 그 짐승은 머리 하나에 치명적인 상처를 입고 죽은 것 같더니 곧 나았습니다. 그러자 온 세상 사람들이 놀라 그 짐승을 따르고
4 그에게 권세를 준 용에게 경배하였습니다. 그리고 그들은 짐승에게도 경배하며 이렇게 외쳤습니다. “누가 이 짐승과 같으며 누가 감히 이 짐승과 맞서 싸울 수 있겠는가?”
5 그 짐승은 교만한 말과 하나님을 모독하는 말을 하는 입을 받고 또 마흔두 달 동안 활동할 수 있는 특권을 받았습니다.
6 그래서 짐승은 입을 벌려 하나님을 모독하고 그분의 이름과 성막과 하늘에 사는 자들을 비방했습니다.
7 또 짐승은 성도들과 싸워 이기는 것이 허락되었고 언어와 종족을 초월하여 세계 모든 나라와 민족을 다스리는 권세를 받았습니다.
8 그러므로 세상이 창조된 이후, 죽음을 당하신 어린 양의 생명책에 이름이 기록되지 못하고 땅에 사는 사람들은 모두 그 짐승에게 경배할 것입니다.
9 누구든지 귀 있는 사람은 들으십시오.
10 잡혀갈 사람은 잡혀가고 칼날에 죽음을 당하도록 되어 있는 사람은 칼날에 죽음을 당할 것입니다. 그래서 성도들에게 인내하는 믿음이 필요합니다.
11 나는 또 다른 한 짐승이 땅에서 올라오는 것을 보았습니다. 그 짐승은 어린 양처럼 두 뿔을 가졌고 용처럼 말했습니다.
12 이 짐승은 첫번째 짐승의 모든 권한을 그 앞에서 행사하고 또 땅에 사는 사람들을 강요하여 치명적인 상처를 입었다가 나은 그 첫번째 짐승에게 경배하게 하였습니다.
13 그 짐승은 큰 기적들을 행했으며 심지어 사람들이 보는 가운데 하늘에서 불이 땅으로 내려오게까지 했습니다.
14 그 짐승은 첫번째 짐승이 하던 기적을 그대로 행하여 땅에 사는 사람들을 속이고 부상을 당했다가 살아난 짐승을 위해 그들에게 우상을 만들라고 했습니다.
15 이 둘째 짐승은 능력을 받아 첫번째 짐승의 우상에게 생기를 주어 말을 하게 하고 그 짐승의 우상에게 경배하지 않는 사람은 누구든지 다 죽이게 했습니다.
16 그 짐승은 신분이 높건 낮건 부자이건 가난한 사람이건 자유인이건 종이건 모조리 오른손이나 이마에 표를 받게 하고
17 그 표를 갖지 않은 사람은 아무것도 사거나 팔지 못하게 했는데 이 표는 짐승의 이름 또는 그 이름을 상징하는 숫자입니다.
18 이런 때일수록 지혜가 필요합니다. 총명한 사람은 그 짐승의 숫자를 세어 보십시오. 그 숫자는 사람의 이름이며 666입니다.

The Beast out of the Sea
13 The dragon[a] stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea.(A) It had ten horns and seven heads,(B) with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.(C) 2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard,(D) but had feet like those of a bear(E) and a mouth like that of a lion.(F) The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.(G) 3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed.(H) The whole world was filled with wonder(I) and followed the beast. 4 People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like(J) the beast? Who can wage war against it?”
5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies(K) and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.(L) 6 It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.(M) 7 It was given power to wage war(N) against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.(O) 8 All inhabitants of the earth(P) will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life,(Q) the Lamb(R) who was slain from the creation of the world.[b](S)
9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.(T)
10 “If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killed[c] with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”[d](U)
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness(V) on the part of God’s people.(W)
The Beast out of the Earth
11 Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth.(X) It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.(Y) 12 It exercised all the authority(Z) of the first beast on its behalf,(AA) and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast,(AB) whose fatal wound had been healed.(AC) 13 And it performed great signs,(AD) even causing fire to come down from heaven(AE) to the earth in full view of the people. 14 Because of the signs(AF) it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived(AG) the inhabitants of the earth.(AH) It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.(AI) 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship(AJ) the image to be killed.(AK) 16 It also forced all people, great and small,(AL) rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads,(AM) 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark,(AN) which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.(AO)
18 This calls for wisdom.(AP) Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e](AQ) That number is 666.

13 我又看见一只兽从海里上来，有十角七头，十角上戴着十个皇冠，七头上有亵渎的名号。 2 我所看见的兽，样子好象豹，脚像熊的脚，口像狮子的口。龙把自己的能力、王位和大权柄，都交给了牠。 3 兽的七头中有一个似乎受了致命伤，但那致命伤却医好了。全地的人都很惊奇，跟从那兽。 4 因为龙把权柄交给了兽，大家就拜龙，也拜兽，说：“有谁可以跟这兽相比？有谁能与牠作战呢？”
5 龙又给了那兽一张说夸大和亵渎话的嘴巴，也给了牠权柄可以任意而行四十二个月。 6 兽就开口向 神说亵渎的话，亵渎他的名和他的帐幕，以及那些住在天上的。 7 牠得了允许能跟圣徒作战，并且能胜过他们；又有权柄给了牠，可以管辖各支派、各民族、各方言、各邦国。 8 所有住在地上的人，名字没有记在创世以来被杀的羊羔之生命册上的，都要拜牠。
9 凡有耳的，就应当听！
10 如果人应该被俘掳，
就必被俘掳；
如果人应该被刀杀，
就必被刀杀。
在这里圣徒要有忍耐和信心！
11 我又看见另一只兽从地里上来。牠有两个角，好象羊羔，说话好象龙。 12 牠在头一只兽面前，行使头一只兽的一切权柄。牠使全地和住在地上的人，都拜那受过致命伤而医好了的头一只兽。 13 牠又行大奇事，甚至在人面前叫火从天上降在地上。 14 牠得了能力，在头一只兽面前能行奇事，迷惑了住在地上的人，吩咐住在地上的人，要为那受过刀伤而还活着的兽做个像。 15 又有能力赐给牠，可以把气息给兽像，使兽像能够说话，并且能够杀害那些不拜兽像的人。 16 那从地里上来的兽，又要所有的人，无论大小贫富，自由的和作奴隶的，都在右手或额上，给自己作个记号。 17 这记号就是兽的名字或兽名的数字，除了那有记号的，谁也不能买，谁也不能卖。 18 在这里要有智慧。有悟性的人，就让他计算兽的数字，因为这是人的数字，它的数字是六百六十六。

2 And the beast, which I saw, was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his own strength, and great power.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death's wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast.
4 And they adored the dragon, which gave power to the beast: and they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? and who shall be able to fight with him?
5 And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things, and blasphemies: and power was given to him to do two and forty months.
6 And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb, which was slain from the beginning of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that shall lead into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword, must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns, like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
12 And he executed all the power of the former beast in his sight; and he caused the earth, and them that dwell therein, to adore the first beast, whose wound to death was healed.
13 And he did great signs, so that he made also fire to come down from heaven unto the earth in the sight of men.
14 And he seduced them that dwell on the earth, for the signs, which were given him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make the image of the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and lived.
15 And it was given him to give life to the image of the beast, and that the image of the beast should speak; and should cause, that whosoever will not adore the image of the beast, should be slain.
16 And he shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand, or on their foreheads.
17 And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six.
