이집트를 떠난 뒤 이스라엘이 거쳐 간 길
33 이스라엘 자손이 모세와 아론의 지휘 아래 부대를 편성하여 이집트에서 나온 뒤로 그들이 거쳐 간 길은 다음과 같다. 2 모세는 주의 명령에 따라 지나온 곳을 다 기록하였다. 그들이 가는 동안 머물렀다가 떠난 곳은 다음과 같다.
3 이스라엘 자손은 첫째 달[a] 십오 일, 곧 유월절 다음날에 라암셋을 떠났다. 그들은 모든 이집트 사람이 훤히 보는 앞에서 당당하게 행군하여 나왔다. 4 그때 이집트 사람들은 모두 주께서 치신 자기들의 맏아들들의 장례를 치르고 있었다. 주께서 이집트의 신들[b] 에게 심판을 내리신 것이었다.
5 이스라엘 자손은 라암셋을 떠나 숙곳에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
6 숙곳을 떠나서는 광야가 시작되는 에담에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
7 에담을 떠나서는 바알스본 맞은편에 있는 비하히롯으로 되돌아가서 믹돌 앞에 진을 쳤다.
8 비하히롯을 떠나서는 바다 한가운데를 지나 광야로 들어섰다. 그러고는 에담 광야를 사흘 동안 걸어 마라에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
9 마라를 떠나서는 엘림으로 갔다. 거기에는 샘이 열두 개, 종려나무가 일흔 그루나 있어서 그곳에 진을 쳤다.
10 엘림을 떠나서는 갈대바다 가까이에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
11 갈대바다를 떠나서는 신 광야에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
12 신 광야를 떠나서는 돕가에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
13 돕가를 떠나서는 알루스에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
14 알루스를 떠나서는 르비딤에 이르러 진을 쳤다. 그러나 그곳에는 사람들이 마실 물이 없었다.
15 르비딤을 떠나서는 시내 광야에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
16 시내 광야를 떠나서는 기브롯핫다아와에 이르러 진을 쳤다.

32 브네야아간을 떠나서는 홀하깃갓에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
33 홀하깃갓을 떠나서는 욧바다에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
34 욧바다를 떠나서는 아브로나에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
35 아브로나를 떠나서는 에시온게벨에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
36 에시온게벨을 떠나서는 신 광야에 있는 가데스에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
37 가데스를 떠나서는 호르 산에 이르러 진을 쳤는데, 이곳은 에돔 땅과 경계를 이루는 곳이었다. 38 제사장 아론이 주의 명령에 따라 호르 산으로 올라가 죽었다. 그때는 이스라엘 백성이 이집트에서 나온 지 사십 년째 되던 해 다섯째 달 초하루였다. 39 아론이 호르 산에서 죽었을 때 그의 나이는 백스물세 살이었다.
40 아랏은 가나안 땅 네겝 지방에 있는 성읍이었다. 그곳에 살고 있던 가나안 왕은 이스라엘 백성이 온다는 소식을 들었다.
41 이스라엘 백성은 호르 산을 떠나 살모나에 이르러 진을 쳤다.

44 오봇을 떠나서는 이예아바림에 이르러 진을 쳤다. 그곳은 모압과 경계를 이루는 곳이었다.
45 이예아바림을 떠나서는 디본갓에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
46 디본갓을 떠나서는 알몬디블라다임에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
47 알몬디블라다임을 떠나서는 느보 앞에 있는 아바림 산에 이르러 진을 쳤다.
48 아바림 산을 떠나서는 여리고 맞은편에 있는 요단 강 가의 모압 평원에 이르러 진을 쳤다. 49 그들은 그곳 모압 평원에서 벳여시몬에서 아벨싯딤에 이르기까지 요단 강을 따라 진을 쳤다.
50 여리고 맞은편 요단 강 가에 있는 모압 평원에서 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 51 “너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이렇게 전하여라. ‘너희가 요단 강을 건너 가나안 땅으로 들어가면 52 그 땅에 사는 사람들을 너희 앞에서 다 몰아내어라. 그리고 그들이 새겨 만든 우상과 금속을 부어 만든 우상을 모두 깨부수고 그들의 산당을 모두 없애버려라. 53 그런 다음에야 그 땅을 차지하고 자리를 잡고 살아라. 내가 그 땅을 너희에게 주었다. 54 땅을 나눌 때에는 제비를 뽑아서 집안별로 나누도록 하여라. 집안이 크면 큰 땅을, 집안이 작으면 작은 땅을 유산으로 주어라. 제비뽑기를 하여 나온 결과대로 각 집안이 땅을 차지하여야 한다. 땅을 나눌 때에는 같은 조상을 둔 가문끼리 나누어 가지도록 하여라.
55 너희가 그 땅에 살던 사람들을 너희 앞에서 몰아내지 않으면, 그들이 너희 눈에 가시가 되고 너희 옆구리에 박힌 바늘이 될 것이다. 그들은 너희가 들어가 살게 될 땅에서 너희를 괴롭힐 것이다. 56 그렇게 되면 나 또한 그들에게 하려 했던 일을 너희에게 하겠다.’”

33 Ðây là những chặng đường dân I-sơ-ra-ên khi ra khỏi Ai-cập đã di chuyển theo đội hình hành quân, dưới sự lãnh đạo của Môi-se và A-rôn. 2 Môi-se ghi lại những điểm khởi hành, từng chặng một, theo lệnh của Chúa; và đây là những chặng đường của họ dựa theo những điểm khởi hành:

38 Tư Tế A-rôn vâng theo lịnh Chúa đi lên Núi Hô-rơ và qua đời tại đó, nhằm ngày mồng một tháng năm, năm thứ bốn mươi, sau khi dân I-sơ-ra-ên ra khỏi đất Ai-cập. 39 A-rôn được một trăm hai mươi ba tuổi khi ông qua đời trên Núi Hô-rơ.
40 Lúc ấy Vua A-rát của dân Ca-na-an, đang sống ở miền nam xứ Ca-na-an, đã được báo tin rằng dân I-sơ-ra-ên đang tiến đến.

50 Chúa phán với Môi-se trong Ðồng Bằng Mô-áp, bên bờ Sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô rằng, 51 “Hãy nói với dân I-sơ-ra-ên và bảo họ: Khi các ngươi đi qua Sông Giô-đanh để vào trong đất Ca-na-an, 52 các ngươi phải đuổi các dân cư trong xứ đi khỏi mặt các ngươi, các ngươi phải phá hủy tất cả hình tượng đã chạm khắc vào đá của chúng, phá huỷ tất cả tượng chúng đúc để thờ, phá hủy tất cả những đền miếu chúng đã xây cất trên các nơi cao để cúng tế. 53 Các ngươi phải chiếm lấy xứ và định cư trong đó, vì Ta đã ban xứ đó cho các ngươi để làm chủ. 54 Các ngươi sẽ bốc thăm để phân chia xứ đó theo từng dòng họ. 33 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the Lord had smitten among them: upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.
5 And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.
6 And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon: and they pitched before Migdol.
8 And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days'journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.
9 And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.
10 And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.
11 And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

35 And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Eziongaber.
36 And they removed from Eziongaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37 And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
39 And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
40 And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41 And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.
42 And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.
43 And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.
44 And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.
45 And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibongad.
46 And they removed from Dibongad, and encamped in Almondiblathaim.
47 And they removed from Almondiblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
49 And they pitched by Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.
50 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

33 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the (A)hand of Moses and Aaron. 2 Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of the Lord. And these are their journeys according to their starting points:
3 They (B)departed from Rameses in (C)the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the children of Israel went out (D)with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians. 4 For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, (E)whom the Lord had killed among them. Also (F)on their gods the Lord had executed judgments.
5 (G)Then the children of Israel moved from Rameses and camped at Succoth. 6 They departed from (H)Succoth and camped at Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness. 7 (I)They moved from Etham and turned back to Pi Hahiroth, which is east of Baal Zephon; and they camped near Migdol. 8 They departed [a]from before Hahiroth and (J)passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, went three days’ journey in the Wilderness of Etham, and camped at Marah. 9 They moved from Marah and (K)came to Elim. At Elim were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there.
10 They moved from Elim and camped by the Red Sea. 11 They moved from the Red Sea and camped in the (L)Wilderness of Sin. 12 They journeyed from the Wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah. 13 They departed from Dophkah and camped at Alush. 14 They moved from Alush and camped at (M)Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

38 Then (X)Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the Lord, and died there in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month. 39 Aaron was one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 Now (Y)the king of Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41 So they departed from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah. 42 They departed from Zalmonah and camped at Punon. 43 They departed from Punon and (Z)camped at Oboth. 44 (AA)They departed from Oboth and camped at Ije Abarim, at the border of Moab. 45 They departed from [c]Ijim and camped (AB)at Dibon Gad. 46 They moved from Dibon Gad and camped at (AC)Almon Diblathaim. 47 They moved from Almon Diblathaim (AD)and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. 48 They departed from the mountains of Abarim and (AE)camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho. 49 They camped by the Jordan, from Beth Jesimoth as far as the (AF)Abel Acacia Grove[d] in the plains of Moab.

50 Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, saying, 51 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: (AG)‘When you have crossed the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 (AH)then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their engraved stones, destroy all their molded images, and demolish all their [e]high places; 53 you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to (AI)possess. 54 And (AJ)you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families; to the larger you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance; there everyone’s inheritance shall be whatever falls to him by lot. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers. 55 But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be (AK)irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell. 56 Moreover it shall be that I will do to you as I thought to do to them.’ ”
