Pinagaling ni Jesus ang Isang Paralitiko(A)
9 Sumakay si Jesus sa bangka, tumawid sa kabilang ibayo at tumuloy sa sarili niyang bayan. 2 Pagdating doon, dinala sa kanya ng ilang tao ang isang paralitikong nakaratay sa higaan. Nang makita ni Jesus ang kanilang pananampalataya, sinabi niya sa paralitiko, “Anak, lakasan mo ang iyong loob! Pinapatawad ka na sa iyong mga kasalanan.” 3 May ilang tagapagturo ng Kautusan na naroon at sinabi nila sa kanilang sarili, “Nilalapastangan niya ang Diyos.” 4 Alam ni Jesus ang kanilang iniisip kaya't sinabi niya, “Bakit kayo nag-iisip nang ganyan? 5 Ano ba ang mas madali, ang sabihing, ‘pinapatawad na ang iyong mga kasalanan,’ o ang sabihing, ‘tumayo ka at lumakad’? 6 Ngunit upang malaman ninyo na ang Anak ng Tao ay may kapangyarihang magpatawad ng mga kasalanan dito sa lupa…” sinabi niya sa paralitiko, “Tumayo ka, buhatin mo ang iyong higaan, at umuwi ka na!” 7 Tumayo nga ang lalaki at umuwi. 8 Nang makita ito ng mga tao, sila'y natakot at nagpuri sa Diyos na nagbigay ng ganitong kapangyarihan sa mga tao.
Tinawag si Mateo(B)
9 Pag-alis ni Jesus doon, nakita niya si Mateo na nakaupo sa tanggapan ng buwis. Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanya, “Sumunod ka sa akin.” Tumayo nga si Mateo at sumunod sa kanya.
10 Nang(C) si Jesus at ang kanyang mga alagad ay nasa bahay, dumating ang maraming maniningil ng buwis at mga makasalanan. Sila'y magkakasalong kumain. 11 Nang makita ito ng mga Pariseo, tinanong nila ang kanyang mga alagad, “Bakit nakikisalo ang inyong guro sa mga maniningil ng buwis at sa mga makasalanan?” 12 Narinig sila ni Jesus at siya ang sumagot, “Hindi nangangailangan ng manggagamot ang walang sakit kundi ang maysakit. 13 Humayo(D) kayo at unawain ang kahulugan nito: ‘Habag ang nais ko at hindi handog.’ Sapagkat naparito ako upang tawagin ang mga makasalanan, hindi ang mga matuwid.”
Tinanong si Jesus tungkol sa Pag-aayuno(E)
14 Lumapit kay Jesus ang mga alagad ni Juan na Tagapagbautismo, at siya'y tinanong, “Kami po ay [madalas][a] mag-ayuno, gayundin ang mga Pariseo, ngunit bakit hindi po nag-aayuno ang inyong mga alagad?” 15 Sumagot siya, “Dapat bang malungkot ang mga panauhin sa kasalan habang kasama pa nila ang lalaking ikinasal? Kapag wala na ito, saka pa lamang sila mag-aayuno.
16 “Walang nagtatagpi ng bagong tela sa isang lumang kasuotan. Sapagkat kapag umurong ang bagong tela, mababatak nito ang tinagpian at lalong lalaki ang punit. 17 Wala ring nagsasalin ng bagong alak sa lumang sisidlang-balat. Kapag ganoon ang ginawa, puputok ang balat, matatapon ang alak, at mawawasak ang sisidlan. Sa halip, isinasalin ang bagong alak sa bagong sisidlang-balat; at sa gayon, kapwa ito nagtatagal.”
Pagbuhay na Muli sa Anak ng Pinuno at Pagpapagaling sa Isang Babae(F)
18 Habang sinasabi ni Jesus ang mga bagay na ito, may dumating namang isang pinuno ng mga Judio. Lumuhod ito sa harap niya at nakiusap, “Kamamatay po lamang ng aking anak na babae; sumama po kayo sa akin at ipatong ninyo ang inyong kamay sa kanya, at siya'y mabubuhay.” 19 Tumayo si Jesus at sumama sa kanya, gayundin ang kanyang mga alagad.
20 Habang sila'y naglalakad, lumapit sa likuran ni Jesus ang isang babaing labindalawang taon nang dinudugo at hinawakan ang laylayan ng kanyang damit. 21 Sinabi ng babae sa sarili, “Mahawakan ko lamang ang kanyang damit, gagaling na ako.” 22 Lumingon si Jesus at pagkakita sa kanya'y sinabi, “Anak, lakasan mo ang iyong loob! Pinagaling ka ng iyong pananampalataya.” Noon di'y gumaling ang babae.
23 Pagdating ni Jesus sa bahay ng pinuno, nakita niya ang mga manunugtog ng plauta at ang mga taong nagkakaingay. 24 Sinabi niya, “Lumabas muna kayo. Hindi patay ang bata; natutulog lamang!” At siya'y pinagtawanan nila. 25 Nang mapalabas na ang mga tao, pumasok si Jesus sa kuwarto, hinawakan niya sa kamay ang bata at ito'y bumangon. 26 Ang pangyayaring ito ay ipinamalita ng mga tao sa buong lupaing iyon.
Ang Pagpapagaling sa Dalawang Bulag
27 Pag-alis ni Jesus doon, sinundan siya ng dalawang lalaking bulag. Sumisigaw sila habang nasa daan, “Anak ni David, mahabag po kayo sa amin!”
28 Pagpasok ni Jesus sa bahay, lumapit sa kanya ang mga bulag. Tinanong sila ni Jesus, “Naniniwala ba kayo na mapapagaling ko kayo?” “Opo, Panginoon!” sagot nila. 29 Hinipo niya ang kanilang mga mata at sinabi, “Mangyari ang ayon sa inyong pananampalataya.” 30 At nakakita nga sila. Mahigpit na ipinagbilin sa kanila ni Jesus na huwag sasabihin iyon kaninuman. 31 Ngunit nang sila'y makaalis, ipinamalita nila sa buong lupaing iyon ang ginawa sa kanila ni Jesus.
Pinagaling ang Piping Sinasaniban ng Demonyo
32 Nang paalis na sila, dinala kay Jesus ang isang piping sinasapian ng demonyo. 33 Pinalayas ni Jesus ang demonyo at nakapagsalita agad ang pipi. Namangha ang mga tao at nasabi nila, “Kailanman ay wala pang nakitang katulad nito sa Israel!” [34 Subalit(G) sinabi naman ng mga Pariseo, “Nakapagpapalayas siya ng mga demonyo sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng pinuno ng mga demonyo.”][b]
Nahabag si Jesus sa mga Tao
35 Nilibot(H) ni Jesus ang lahat ng mga bayan at nayon doon. Nagtuturo siya sa kanilang mga sinagoga at ipinapangaral ang Magandang Balita tungkol sa paghahari ng Diyos. Pinagaling din niya ang lahat ng uri ng sakit at karamdaman. 36 Nang(I) makita niya ang napakaraming tao, nahabag siya sa kanila sapagkat sila'y litung-lito at hindi alam ang gagawin, parang mga tupang walang pastol. 37 Kaya't(J) sinabi niya sa kanyang mga alagad, “Napakaraming aanihin, ngunit kakaunti ang mag-aani. 38 Idalangin ninyo sa may-ari ng aanihin na magpadala ng mga mag-aani.”

Jesus hat die Macht, Sünden zu vergeben (Markus 2,1‒12; Lukas 5,17‒26)
9 Jesus stieg in ein Boot und fuhr über den See zurück nach Kapernaum, wo er wohnte. 2 Dort brachten sie einen Gelähmten auf einer Trage zu ihm. Als Jesus ihren festen Glauben sah, sagte er zu dem Gelähmten: »Du kannst unbesorgt sein, mein Sohn! Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben.«
3 »Das ist Gotteslästerung!«, dachten sich einige Schriftgelehrte. 4 Jesus durchschaute sie und fragte: »Warum tragt ihr so böse Gedanken in euch? 5 Ist es denn leichter zu sagen: ›Dir sind deine Sünden vergeben‹, oder diesen Gelähmten zu heilen[a]? 6 Aber ich will euch beweisen, dass der Menschensohn die Vollmacht hat, hier auf der Erde Sünden zu vergeben.« Und er forderte den Gelähmten auf: »Steh auf, nimm deine Trage und geh nach Hause!« 7 Da stand der Mann auf und ging nach Hause. 8 Als die Leute das sahen, erschraken sie. Sie lobten Gott, der den Menschen eine solche Macht gegeben hat.
Der Zolleinnehmer Matthäus (Markus 2,13‒17; Lukas 5,27‒32)
9 Als Jesus weiterging, sah er einen Mann am Zoll sitzen. Er hieß Matthäus. Jesus forderte ihn auf: »Komm, folge mir nach!« Sofort stand Matthäus auf und ging mit ihm.
10 Später war Jesus mit seinen Jüngern bei Matthäus zu Gast. Matthäus hatte auch viele Zolleinnehmer und andere Leute mit schlechtem Ruf zum Essen eingeladen. 11 Als die Pharisäer das sahen, fragten sie seine Jünger: »Weshalb gibt sich euer Lehrer mit solchen Sündern und Betrügern ab?« 12 Jesus hörte das und antwortete: »Die Gesunden brauchen keinen Arzt, sondern die Kranken! 13 Begreift doch endlich, was Gott meint, wenn er sagt: ›Wenn jemand barmherzig ist, so ist mir das lieber als irgendwelche Opfer und Gaben.‹[b] Ich bin gekommen, um Sünder in die Gemeinschaft mit Gott zu rufen, und nicht solche, die sich sowieso für gut genug halten.[c]«
Neue Formen für das neue Leben (Markus 2,18‒22; Lukas 5,33‒39)
14 An einem anderen Tag kamen die Jünger des Johannes zu Jesus und erkundigten sich: »Wir und auch die Pharisäer fasten regelmäßig. Warum tun deine Jünger das eigentlich nicht?« 15 Jesus fragte: »Sollen die Hochzeitsgäste denn traurig sein und fasten, solange der Bräutigam noch bei ihnen ist? Die Zeit kommt früh genug, dass der Bräutigam ihnen genommen wird. Dann werden sie fasten.
16 Niemand flickt ein altes Kleid mit einem neuen Stück Stoff. Der alte Stoff würde an der Flickstelle doch wieder reißen, und das Loch würde nur noch größer. 17 Ebenso füllt niemand jungen, gärenden Wein in alte, brüchige Schläuche. Sonst platzen sie. Dann läuft der Wein aus, und die Schläuche sind unbrauchbar. Nein, jungen Wein füllt man in neue Schläuche! Nur so bleibt beides erhalten.«
Macht über Krankheit und Tod (Markus 5,21‒43; Lukas 8,40‒56)
18 Als Jesus noch mit ihnen redete, kam ein Vorsteher der jüdischen Gemeinde zu ihm, warf sich vor ihm nieder und sagte: »Meine Tochter ist gerade gestorben. Aber komm doch und leg deine Hände auf sie! Dann wird sie wieder lebendig.«
19 Jesus stand auf und folgte dem Mann zu seinem Haus. Die Jünger gingen ebenfalls mit.
20 Unterwegs berührte eine Frau, die seit zwölf Jahren an starken Blutungen litt, von hinten heimlich ein Stück[d] seines Gewandes. 21 Denn sie dachte: »Wenn ich wenigstens seine Kleider berühren kann, werde ich bestimmt gesund.« 22 Jesus drehte sich um, sah sie an und sagte: »Du kannst unbesorgt sein, meine Tochter! Dein Glaube hat dich geheilt.« Im selben Augenblick war die Frau gesund.
23 Schließlich kam Jesus zum Haus des Vorstehers. Als er die Trauermusik hörte und die vielen aufgeregten Leute sah, 24 sagte er: »Geht alle hinaus! Das Mädchen ist nicht gestorben, es schläft nur.« Da lachten sie ihn aus. 25 Als die Leute endlich hinausgetrieben waren, trat Jesus in das Zimmer des Mädchens und nahm die Hand des Kindes. Da stand das Mädchen auf und war gesund. 26 Die Nachricht davon verbreitete sich wie ein Lauffeuer in der ganzen Gegend.
Blinde sehen
27 Als Jesus weiterging, liefen ihm zwei Blinde nach und schrien: »Du Sohn Davids, hab Erbarmen mit uns!« 28 Sie folgten ihm bis in das Haus, in dem er wohnte. Jesus fragte sie: »Glaubt ihr denn, dass ich euch helfen kann?« »Ja, Herr!«, antworteten sie. 29 Da berührte er ihre Augen und sagte: »Was ihr mir zutraut, das soll geschehen!« 30 Sofort konnten sie sehen. Jesus aber befahl ihnen nachdrücklich: »Niemand darf von eurer Heilung erfahren!« 31 Trotzdem gingen sie los und erzählten in der ganzen Gegend von Jesus.
Jesus heilt: Der Widerstand wächst
32 Als die beiden gegangen waren, brachte man einen Stummen zu ihm, der von einem bösen Geist beherrscht wurde. 33 Jesus trieb diesen Dämon aus, und sofort konnte der Mann reden. Darüber wunderten sich die Leute sehr und riefen: »So etwas haben wir in Israel noch nie erlebt!«
34 Aber die Pharisäer redeten auf sie ein: »Er hat seine Macht vom Obersten aller Dämonen bekommen, nur darum kann er die Menschen von Dämonen befreien.«
Jesus hat Mitleid mit den Menschen (Markus 6,34; Lukas 10,2)
35 Danach zog Jesus durch alle Städte und Dörfer in dieser Gegend. Er lehrte in den Synagogen und verkündete überall im Land die rettende Botschaft von Gottes Reich. Wohin er auch kam, heilte er die Kranken und Leidenden. 36 Als er die vielen Menschen sah, hatte er Mitleid mit ihnen, denn sie waren erschöpft und hilflos wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben.
37 »Die Ernte ist groß, aber es gibt nur wenige Arbeiter«, sagte Jesus zu seinen Jüngern. 38 »Darum bittet den Herrn, dass er noch mehr Arbeiter aussendet, die seine Ernte einbringen.«

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man(A)
9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.(B) 2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man,(C) lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith,(D) he said to the man, “Take heart,(E) son; your sins are forgiven.”(F)
3 At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!”(G)
4 Knowing their thoughts,(H) Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 5 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man(I) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” 7 Then the man got up and went home. 8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God,(J) who had given such authority to man.
The Calling of Matthew(K)
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(L) he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”(M)
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a](N) For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”(O)
Jesus Questioned About Fasting(P)
14 Then John’s(Q) disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often,(R) but your disciples do not fast?”
15 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them?(S) The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.(T)
16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(U)
18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him(V) and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her,(W) and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.(X) 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart,(Y) daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”(Z) And the woman was healed at that moment.(AA)
23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,(AB) 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead(AC) but asleep.”(AD) But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.(AE) 26 News of this spread through all that region.(AF)
Jesus Heals the Blind and the Mute
27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”(AG)
28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
“Yes, Lord,” they replied.(AH)
29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;(AI) 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”(AJ) 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.(AK)
32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed(AL) and could not talk(AM) was brought to Jesus. 33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”(AN)
34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.”(AO)
The Workers Are Few
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.(AP) 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them,(AQ) because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.(AR) 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest(AS) is plentiful but the workers are few.(AT) 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
