천국이란?
22 예수님은 다시 비유로 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
2 “하늘 나라는 자기 아들을 위해 결혼 잔치를 베푸는 어떤 왕과 같다.
3 왕은 종들을 시켜 잔치에 초대한 손님들을 불렀으나 그들은 오지 않았다.
4 왕은 또 다른 종들을 초대한 사람들에게 보내 ‘살진 소를 잡아 모든 음식을 푸짐하게 준비해 놓았으니 어서 잔치에 오십시오’ 하라고 하였다.
5 그러나 그들은 들은 척도 않고 어떤 사람은 자기 밭으로 가고 어떤 사람은 장사하러 가고
6 또 다른 사람들은 그 종들을 잡아 모욕하고 죽여 버렸다.
7 그러자 왕은 화가 나서 군대를 보내 살인자들을 죽이고 마을을 불태워 버렸다.
8 그러고 나서 왕은 종들에게 말하였다. ‘잔치는 준비되었으나 초대받은 사람들은 자격이 없다.
9 그러니 너희는 길거리에 나가 만나는 사람마다 잔치에 초대하여라.’
10 “그래서 종들이 나가 좋은 사람이건 나쁜 사람이건 만나는 대로 데려오자 잔치 자리가 가득 찼다.
11 왕이 손님들을 보려고 들어갔다가 예복을 입지 않은 한 사람을 보고
12 ‘그대는 어째서 예복도 입지 않고 여기 들어왔는가?’ 하고 묻자 그는 아무 대답이 없었다.
13 그때 왕은 종들에게 ‘이 사람의 손발을 묶어 바깥 어두운 곳에 던져라. 거기서 통곡하며 이를 갈 것이다’ 하였다.
14 이와 같이 초대받은 사람은 많지만 선택받은 사람은 적다.”
15 그때 바리새파 사람들이 어떻게 하면 말로 예수님을 함정에 빠뜨릴 수 있을까 하고 의논한 후에
16 자기들의 제자들을 헤롯 당원들과 함께 예수님께 보내 물어 보게 하였다. “선생님, 우리가 알기에 선생님은 진실하시고 진리대로 하나님의 교훈을 가르치시며 사람의 겉모양을 보지 않으시기 때문에 누구에게도 거리낌이 없으십니다.
17 그래서 선생님의 의견을 듣고자 합니다. [a]로마 황제에게 세금을 바치는 것이 옳습니까, 옳지 않습니까?”
18 그러나 예수님은 그들의 간교한 생각을 아시고 “위선자들아, 왜 나를 시험하느냐?
19 세금으로 바치는 돈을 내게 보여라” 하고 말씀하셨다. 그들이 예수님께 [b]데나리온 하나를 가져오자
20 예수님은 “이 초상과 글이 누구의 것이냐?” 하고 물으셨다.
21 그들이 “황제의 것입니다” 하고 대답하자 예수님이 “황제의 것은 황제에게, 하나님의 것은 하나님께 바쳐라” 하고 말씀하셨다.
22 이 말씀을 듣고 그들은 말문이 막힌 채 가 버렸다.
23 바로 그 날 부활이 없다고 주장하는 사두개파 사람들이 예수님께 와서 물었다.
24 “선생님, 모세는 형이 자식 없이 죽으면 동생이 형수와 결혼하여 형의 대를 이어야 한다고 했습니다.
25 우리 이웃에 일곱 형제가 있었는데 맏이 결혼하여 살다가 자식 없이 죽고 그 동생이 형수와 살게 되었습니다.
26 그러나 둘째도 자식 없이 죽었고 셋째에서 일곱째까지 모두 그렇게 되었으며
27 끝내는 그 여자도 죽었습니다.
28 이렇게 일곱 형제가 모두 한 여자와 살았으니 부활 때 그 여자는 누구의 아내가 되겠습니까?”
29 그래서 예수님은 그들에게 이렇게 대답하셨다. “너희는 성경과 하나님의 능력을 모르기 때문에 잘못 생각하고 있다.
30 부활하면 장가도 시집도 안 가고 다만 하늘에 있는 천사들과 같이 된다.
31 너희는 죽은 사람들의 부활에 대하여 하나님이
32 [c]‘나는 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님이다’ 라고 하신 말씀을 읽어 보지 못했느냐? 하나님은 죽은 사람들의 하나님이 아니라 살아 있는 사람들의 하나님이시다.”
33 그러자 군중들은 예수님의 가르치심에 감탄하였다.
34 바리새파 사람들은 예수님이 사두개파 사람들의 말문을 막으셨다는 말을 듣고 다 함께 모였다.
35 그들 중에 한 율법학자가 예수님을 시험하려고
36 “선생님, 모세의 법 중에 가장 큰 계명은 어느 계명입니까?” 하고 물었다.
37 그래서 예수님은 이렇게 대답하셨다. “[d]‘네 마음을 다하고 정성을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라.’
38 “이것이 제일 중요한 계명이다.
39 그 다음은 [e]‘네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라’ 는 계명이다.
40 모든 율법과 예언자들의 가르침은 이 두 계명에서 나온 것이다.”
41 바리새파 사람들이 모였을 때 예수님은 그들에게
42 “너희는 그리스도에 대하여 어떻게 생각하느냐? 그는 누구의 후손이냐?” 하고 물으셨다. 그들이 “다윗의 후손입니다” 하고 대답하자
43 예수님은 다시 그들에게 물으셨다. “다윗이 성령님의 감동으로
44 [f]‘하나님이 나의 주님에게 말씀하셨다: 내가 네 원수들을 네 발 앞에 굴복시킬 때까지 너는 내 오른편에 앉아 있거라’ 고 하지 않았느냐?
45 다윗이 이렇게 그리스도를 주라고 불렀는데 어떻게 그리스도가 다윗의 후손이 되겠느냐?”
46 그러자 한마디도 대답하는 사람이 없고 그 날부터 예수님께 묻는 사람도 없었다.

Parábola del banquete de bodas
22 Jesús les relató otras parábolas que describían el reino de los cielos:
2 «El reino de los cielos puede ilustrarse con el cuento de un rey que preparó un gran banquete en celebración de la boda de su hijo. 3 Envió muchísimas invitaciones, y cuando el banquete estuvo listo, mandó un mensajero a notificar a los convidados que ya podían ir. ¡Pero nadie fue! 4 Envió a otros siervos a decirles que fueran pronto, que no se demoraran, que ya los asados estaban listos. 5 Algunos de los invitados se rieron de los mensajeros y se fueron a sus labranzas o negocios; 6 y los otros tomaron a los mensajeros y, tras golpearlos y afrentarlos, los mataron. 7 El rey, enojado, ordenó al ejército que acabara con aquellos asesinos y quemara la ciudad. 8 Entonces dijo: “El banquete está listo, pero los que estaban invitados han mostrado que no eran dignos de la invitación. 9 Por eso, vayan ahora por las esquinas e inviten a todo el mundo”.
10 »Los siervos obedecieron y trajeron a cuantos hallaron, lo mismo malos que buenos. Las mesas se llenaron de invitados. 11 Pero cuando el rey fue a ver a los convidados, vio que uno no traía puesto el vestido de boda que había comprado para los invitados. 12 “Amigo mío”, le dijo, “¿cómo entraste sin el vestido de boda?”. Como no le respondió, 13 el rey ordenó: “Átenlo de pies y manos y échenlo en las tinieblas de afuera. ¡Allí será el llorar y el crujir de dientes! 14 Porque muchos son los llamados, pero pocos los escogidos”».
El pago del impuesto al César
15 Los fariseos se reunieron para tramar la manera de enredar a Jesús en sus propias palabras y hacerle decir algo que lo comprometiera. 16 Decidieron enviar a algunos de sus hombres, juntamente con algunos herodianos,[a] a formularle algunas preguntas.
―Señor —le dijeron—, sabemos que amas la verdad y que la enseñas sin miedo a las consecuencias. 17 Dinos, ¿debe uno pagar impuestos al gobierno romano?
18-19 Jesús, que sabía lo que se traían entre manos, les dijo:
―¡Hipócritas! ¿A quién se creen que están tratando de engañar con preguntas como esas? Enséñenme una moneda.
Y ellos le mostraron una moneda romana de plata.
20 ―¿De quién dice ahí que es esa imagen? —les preguntó.
21 ―Del César —respondieron.
―Pues denle al César lo que es del César y a Dios lo que es de Dios.
22 Sorprendidos y avergonzados, se fueron.
El matrimonio en la resurrección
23 Aquel mismo día, algunos de los saduceos (que eran los que no creían en la resurrección de los muertos), le preguntaron:
24 ―Señor, Moisés dijo que si un hombre muere sin tener hijos, uno de sus hermanos debe casarse con la viuda para que ella tenga hijos que reciban la herencia familiar del muerto. 25-26 Pues bien, hubo una vez una familia de siete hermanos. El primero de estos se casó y murió sin tener hijos, por lo cual la viuda se casó con el segundo hermano. Aquel hermano también murió sin tener hijos, y la esposa se casó con el siguiente hermano. El caso se fue repitiendo de manera tal que aquella señora fue esposa de los siete hermanos. 27-28 Pero a la mujer le llegó también la hora de morir. Dinos, ¿de cuál de los hermanos será esposa cuando resuciten? ¡En vida lo fue de los siete!
29 ―Pues ustedes se equivocan por ignorar las Escrituras y el poder de Dios —les dijo Jesús—. 30 En la resurrección no habrá matrimonios, porque todos serán como los ángeles del cielo. 31 Y en cuanto a la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no se han fijado que las Escrituras dicen: 32 “Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob”? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.
33 El gentío se quedó boquiabierto ante aquella respuesta.
El mandamiento más importante
34 Los fariseos no se dejaron amedrentar por la derrota de los saduceos 35 y se les ocurrió una nueva idea. Uno de ellos, abogado, preguntó a Jesús:
36 ―Señor, ¿cuál es el mandamiento más importante de la ley de Moisés?
37 Jesús respondió:
―“Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con toda tu mente”. 38 Este es el primero y el más importante de los mandamientos. 39 El segundo es similar: “Amarás a tu prójimo con el mismo amor con que te amas a ti mismo”. 40 Los demás mandamientos y demandas de los profetas se resumen en estos dos mandamientos que he mencionado. El que los cumpla estará cumpliendo todos los demás.
¿De quién es hijo el Cristo?
41 Aprovechando la ocasión de estar rodeado de fariseos, Jesús les preguntó:
42 ―¿Qué opinan ustedes del Mesías? ¿De quién es hijo?
―De David —le respondieron.
43 ―Entonces, ¿por qué David, inspirado por el Espíritu Santo, lo llama “Señor”? Porque fue David quien afirmó:
44 »“Dijo el Señor a mi Señor: Siéntate a mi derecha hasta que haya puesto a tus enemigos bajo tus pies”.
45 »¿Creen ustedes que David habría llamado “Señor” a su hijo?
46 ―No —le respondieron—. Y desde entonces nadie se atrevió a preguntarle nada.

22 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

The Parable of the Wedding Feast(A)
22 And Jesus answered (B)and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; (C)my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them [a]spitefully, and killed them. 7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out (D)his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not (E)worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ 10 So those servants went out into the highways and (F)gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. The Pharisees: Is It Lawful to Pay Taxes to Caesar?(K)
15 (L)Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. 16 And they sent to Him their disciples with the (M)Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not [c]regard the person of men. 17 Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
18 But Jesus [d]perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? 19 Show Me the tax money.”
So they brought Him a denarius.
20 And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?”
21 They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”
And He said to them, (N)“Render[e] therefore to Caesar the things that are (O)Caesar’s, and to God the things that are (P)God’s.” 22 When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.
The Sadducees: What About the Resurrection?(Q)
23 (R)The same day the Sadducees, (S)who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, 24 saying: “Teacher, (T)Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother. 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh. 27 Last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are [f]mistaken, (U)not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but (V)are like angels [g]of God in heaven. 31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, 32 (W)‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” 33 And when the multitudes heard this, (X)they were astonished at His teaching.
The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?(Y)
34 (Z)But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, (AA)a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, (AB)“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: (AC)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 (AD)On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Jesus: How Can David Call His Descendant Lord?(AE)
41 (AF)While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?”
They said to Him, “The (AG)Son of David.”
43 He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying:
44 ‘The(AH) Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” ’?
45 If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” 46 (AI)And no one was able to answer Him a word, (AJ)nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.
