하나님께서 아들을 보내신다

(마 21:33-46; 눅 20:9-19)

12 예수께서 사람들에게 비유[a]를 들어 가르치기 시작하셨다. “어떤 사람이 밭에 포도나무를 심었다. 포도밭 둘레에는 울타리를 두르고, 돌을 쪼아 포도즙을 짜낼 돌확[b]을 만들고, 망대[c]도 세웠다. 그리고 포도원을 몇 사람의 농부에게 세로 주고 여행을 떠났다. 2 철이 바뀌어 포도를 딸 때가 되었다. 그래서 주인은 종을 농부들에게 보내며 약속된 몫의 포도를 받아 오라고 하였다. 3 그러나 농부들은 그 종을 잡아 매를 때렸다. 그리고 아무것도 주지 않은 채 그 종을 쫓아 버렸다. 4 포도원 주인은 농부들에게 다른 종을 보냈다. 농부들은 그 종을 모욕하고 머리를 때려 돌려보냈다. 5 주인은 다시 다른 종을 보냈으나, 농부들은 그를 죽이고 말았다. 주인은 농부들에게 많은 종을 보내어 보았다. 그러나 농부들은 번번이 그들을 죽이거나 때려서 보냈다.

6 주인에게는 농부들에게 보낼 사람이 단 한 사람 남아 있었다. 주인이 사랑하는 아들이었다. 주인은 농부들에게 이 아들을 보내기로 마음먹었다. 주인은 생각하였다. ‘그들이 내 아들은 존중하겠지.’

7 그러나 농부들은 서로 수군거렸다. ‘이 사람은 주인의 재산을 물려받을 아들이 아닌가? 자, 그를 죽이고 우리가 그의 재산을 차지하자!’ 8 그들은 주인의 아들을 잡아 죽여서 포도밭 너머로 던져 버렸다.

9 이제 포도원의 주인이 어떻게 하겠느냐? 그가 포도원으로 가서 그들을 죽이고 다른 농부들에게 세를 놓을 것이다. 10 너희는 성경에서 이런 구절을 읽어 보았을 것이다.

‘집 짓는 사람들이 버린 돌이
오히려 그 집의 주춧돌[d]이 되었구나.
11 주께서 하시는 일이라
우리에게는 놀랍게만 보인다.’”(A)

12 유대의 지도자들도 예수께서 하신 이 이야기를 들었다. 그들은 이것이 자신들을 두고 한 이야기라는 것을 알아차렸다. 그들은 예수를 잡아들이고 싶었으나, 백성들이 두려워서 하는 수 없이 예수를 그대로 두고 돌아갔다.

유대 지도자들이 예수를 함정에 빠뜨리려 하다

(마 22:15-22; 눅 20:20-26)

13 이런 일이 있은 뒤에 유대 지도자들은 예수의 말씀을 트집잡아 올가미를 씌우고 싶었다. 그래서 바리새파와 헤롯 당[e] 사람 몇을 예수께 보냈다. 14 그 사람들이 예수께 와서 말하였다. “선생님, 우리는 선생님께서 정직한 분이심을 압니다. 선생님께서는 사람을 겉모양으로 판단하시지 않기 때문에, 어느 누구에게도 휘둘리지 않으십니다. 선생님께서는 참 하나님의 길을 가르치십니다. 그런데 시저에게 세금을 바치는 것이 옳습니까, 옳지 않습니까? 우리가 세금을 내야 할까요, 내지 말아야 할까요?”

15 예수께서 이들의 악한 속셈을 알아채시고 이렇게 대답하셨다. “너희가 나를 함정에 빠뜨리려 하는구나. 데나리온[f] 하나를 가져와 내게 보여 다오.” 16 그들이 그것을 예수께 가져오자 예수께서 물으셨다. “이것이 누구의 얼굴이냐? 그리고 누구의 이름이냐?” 그들이 대답하였다. “시저의 얼굴과 이름입니다.”

17 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “시저의 것은 시저에게 주어라. 그리고 하나님의 것은 하나님께 바쳐라.” 그들은 예수의 말씀을 듣고 크게 감탄하였다.

사두개파 사람들이 예수를 함정에 빠뜨리려 하다

(마 22:23-33; 눅 20:27-40)

18 부활을 믿지 않는 사두개파 사람들도 예수를 찾아와 물었다. 19 “선생님, 모세의 법에는 어떤 사람의 형제가 결혼하여 자녀 없이 아내만 남기고 죽으면, 그 사람이 죽은 형제의 아내와 결혼하여 죽은 형제의 뒤를 이을 아이들을 낳아 주어야 한다고 했습니다. 20 그런데 일곱 형제가 있었습니다. 첫째가 결혼하였으나 자녀가 없이 죽었습니다. 21 그래서 둘째가 형의 아내와 결혼하였으나, 그도 또한 자녀 없이 죽었습니다. 똑같은 일이 셋째에게도 일어났습니다. 22 일곱 형제 모두가 형의 아내와 결혼하였으나 모두 자녀 없이 죽고, 마침내 그 여자도 죽고 말았습니다. 23 일곱 형제가 모두 한 여자를 아내로 삼았으니, 부활 때에 그 여자는 누구의 아내가 되어야 합니까?”

24 예수께서 대답하셨다. “너희가 성경[g]도 모르고 하나님의 능력도 알지 못해 그런 잘못된 생각을 하는 것이다. 25 사람이 죽었다가 다시 살아날 때에는, 장가들거나 시집가는 일 없이 하늘에 있는 천사들처럼 살 것이다. 26 너희는 죽었다가 살아난 사람들을 두고 하나님께서 하신 말씀을 읽었을 것이다. 모세가 쓴 책 가운데 불타는 가시나무 덤불[h]에 대한 부분이 있다. 하나님께서 모세에게 이렇게 말씀하신 것을 거기에서 읽지 못하였느냐? ‘나는 아브라함의 하나님이고, 이삭의 하나님이며, 또 야곱의 하나님이다.’(B) 27 하나님께서 당신이 그들의 하나님이라고 말씀하셨다면, 그들은 정말로 죽은 것이 아니다. 하나님은 죽은 사람의 하나님이 아니라, 살아 있는 사람의 하나님이시다. 너희 사두개파 사람들은 크게 잘못 생각하고 있다.”

어느 계명이 가장 중요한가?

(마 22:34-40; 눅 10:25-28)

28 율법 선생 가운데 한 사람이 예수께 왔다. 그는 예수께서 사두개파와 바리새파 사람들과 토론하는 것을 듣고 있다가, 예수께서 그들의 질문에 훌륭하게 대답하시는 것을 보았다. 그는 예수께 여쭈었다. “선생님, 모든 계명[i] 가운데 첫째가는 계명은 어느 것입니까?”

29 예수께서 대답하셨다. “모든 계명 가운데 첫째가는 계명은 바로 이것이다. ‘이스라엘 백성아, 들어라! 우리 주 하나님은 한 분뿐이시다. 30 네 마음[j]을 다하고, 네 영혼[k]을 다하고, 네 뜻을 다하고, 네 힘[l]을 다하여, 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하여라.’(C) 31 또 둘째가는 계명은 ‘네 이웃을 네 자신처럼 사랑하여라’(D) 하는 것이다. 이 두 계명보다 더 큰 계명은 없다.”

32 이 말을 듣고 그가 예수께 말하였다. “훌륭하십니다, 선생님. 하나님은 한 분뿐이시고 그밖에 다른 분이 없다는 선생님의 말씀은 정말 옳습니다. 33 우리는 마음을 다하고 지혜를 다하고 힘을 다하여 하나님을 사랑해야 합니다. 그리고 우리 이웃을 우리 자신처럼 사랑해야 합니다. 이 계명들은 모든 번제물과 희생 제물보다 더 중요합니다.”[m]

34 예수께서 그가 지혜롭게 대답하는 것을 보시고 말씀하셨다. “네가 하나님 나라에 가까이 가 있구나.” 이런 일이 있고 난 다음에는 예수께 감히 묻는 사람이 없었다.

그리스도는 다윗의 자손인가, 다윗의 주이신가?

(마 22:41-46; 눅 20:41-44)

35 예수께서 성전에서 다시 가르치시면서 백성들에게 말씀하셨다. “어찌하여 율법 선생들은 그리스도가 다윗[n]의 자손이라고만 하느냐? 36 성령의 도움으로 다윗 자신이 이렇게 말하였다.

‘주께서 나의 주께 말씀하셨다.
내 오른쪽에 앉아라.
그러면 내가 너의 적들을
네 발 아래 무릎 꿇게 하겠다.’(E)

37 다윗 자신이 그리스도를 ‘주’ 라고 불렀다. 그러니 그리스도가 그저 다윗의 자손이기만 하겠느냐?” 많은 사람이 예수의 말씀을 듣고 기뻐하였다.

율법 선생들을 꾸짖으시다

(마 23:6-7; 눅 11:43; 20:45-47)

38 예수께서 이어서 말씀하셨다. “율법 선생들을 조심하여라. 그들은 예복을 걸치고 돌아다니기를 좋아한다. 그리고 시장에서 인사 받기를 즐긴다. 39 회당에서는 높은 자리에 앉기를 좋아하고, 잔칫집에서도 가장 좋은 자리에 앉아 대접받기를 좋아한다. 40 그러면서 그들은 홀어미의 재산을 탐내고, 다른 사람들에게 보이려고 기도를 길게 늘어놓는다. 하나님께서 그들에게 가장 무거운 벌을 내리실 것이다.”

한 홀어미가 헌금의 의미를 보여 주다

(눅 21:1-4)

41 예수께서 헌금함[o] 맞은쪽에 앉아 사람들이 헌금을 어떻게 하는지 보고 계셨다. 그때에 부자들이 많은 돈을 넣었다. 42 그런데 남편을 잃은 한 가난한 여자가 작은 동전 두 개를 넣었다.

43 그것을 보시고 예수께서 제자들을 불러 말씀하셨다. “내가 분명히 말한다. 이 가난한 홀어미는 동전 두 닢[p]을 바쳤을 뿐이다. 그러나 이 여자는 어느 누구보다도 많은 돈을 하나님께 바쳤다. 44 다른 사람들은 넉넉한 살림에서 얼마를 바쳤다. 그러나 이 여자는 가난한 살림 속에서도 자신이 가진 돈 모두를 바쳤다. 그 돈은 이 여자가 먹고 살아야 할 돈이었다.”

The Parable of the Tenants(A)

12 Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard.(B) He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. 2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully. 5 He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed.

6 “He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all,(C) saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

7 “But the tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8 So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.

9 “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture:

“‘The stone the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone;(D)
11 the Lord has done this,
    and it is marvelous in our eyes’[a]?”(E)

12 Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd;(F) so they left him and went away.(G)

Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar(H)

13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians(I) to Jesus to catch him(J) in his words. 14 They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax[b] to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”(K)

And they were amazed at him.

Marriage at the Resurrection(L)

18 Then the Sadducees,(M) who say there is no resurrection,(N) came to him with a question. 19 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.(O) 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection[c] whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”

24 Jesus replied, “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures(P) or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.(Q) 26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[d]?(R) 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”

The Greatest Commandment(S)

28 One of the teachers of the law(T) came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f](U) 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g](V) There is no commandment greater than these.”

32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.(W) 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”(X)

34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”(Y) And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.(Z)

Whose Son Is the Messiah?(AA)(AB)

35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts,(AC) he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David?(AD) 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit,(AE) declared:

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
    under your feet.”’[h](AF)

37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”

The large crowd(AG) listened to him with delight.

Warning Against the Teachers of the Law

38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.(AH) 40 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”

The Widow’s Offering(AI)

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put(AJ) and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”(AK)

12 Then (B)He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to [a]vinedressers and went into a far country. 2 Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. 3 And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Again he sent them another servant, [b]and at him they threw stones, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5 And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, (C)beating some and killing some. 6 Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7 But those [c]vinedressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. The Pharisees: Is It Lawful to Pay Taxes to Caesar?(G)

13 (H)Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. 14 When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and [d]care about no one; for You do not [e]regard the person of men, but teach the (I)way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?”

But He, knowing their (J)hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.” 16 So they brought it.

And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

17 And Jesus answered and said to them, [f]“Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to (K)God the things that are God’s.”

And they marveled at Him.

The Sadducees: What About the Resurrection?(L)

18 (M)Then some Sadducees, (N)who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying: 19 “Teacher, (O)Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, and leaves his wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. 21 And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. 22 So the seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also. 23 Therefore, in the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be? For all seven had her as wife.”

24 Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore [g]mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? 25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but (P)are like angels in heaven. 26 But concerning the dead, that they (Q)rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, (R)‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? 27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly [h]mistaken.”

The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?(S)

28 (T)Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, [i]perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the [j]first commandment of all?”

29 Jesus answered him, “The [k]first of all the commandments is: (U)‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall (V)love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ [l]This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: (W)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than (X)these.”

32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, (Y)and there is no other but He. 33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, [m]with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, (Z)is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”

Jesus: How Can David Call His Descendant Lord?(AB)

35 (AC)Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? 36 For David himself said (AD)by the Holy Spirit:

(AE)‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’

37 Therefore David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; how is He then his (AF)Son?”

And the common people heard Him gladly.

Beware of the Scribes(AG)

38 Then (AH)He said to them in His teaching, (AI)“Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, (AJ)love greetings in the marketplaces, 39 the (AK)best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, 40 (AL)who devour widows’ houses, and [n]for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

The Widow’s Two Mites(AM)

41 (AN)Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money (AO)into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 Then one poor widow came and threw in two [o]mites, which make a [p]quadrans. 43 So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that (AP)this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; 44 for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, (AQ)her whole livelihood.”

12 Потом Исус поче да им говори у причама: »Један човек засадио виноград, оградио га плотом, ископао муљачу и сазидао стражарску кулу, па га изнајмио неким виноградарима и отпутовао. 2 Кад је дошло време бербе, посла он виноградарима слугу да од њих узме део виноградских плодова. 3 Али виноградари зграбише слугу, па га претукоше и отераше празних руку. 4 Он им онда посла другог слугу. Њега виноградари изудараше по глави и извргоше руглу. 5 Он посла и трећег слугу – њега убише. И посла још многе, а виноградари једне претукоше, а друге убише.

6 »Имао је још само једнога – свог вољеног сина. На крају посла и њега, говорећи себи: ‚Мог сина ће поштовати.‘

7 »Али виноградари рекоше један другом: ‚Ово је наследник. Хајде да га убијемо, па ће наследство бити наше.‘ 8 И зграбише га, па га убише и избацише из винограда.

9 »Шта ће, дакле, учинити власник винограда? Доћи ће и побити виноградаре, а виноград ће дати другима.

10 »Зар нисте ово читали у Писму:

‚Камен који градитељи одбацише
    постаде камен угаони.
11 Господ то учини
    и то је дивно у нашим очима‘?«(A)

12 А они су тражили начин да га ухвате, јер су знали да је ову причу испричао против њих. Али бојали су се народа, па га оставише и одоше.

Плаћање пореза цару

(Мт 22,15-22; Лк 20,20-26)

13 Онда му послаше неке фарисеје и иродовце да га ухвате у речи.

14 »Учитељу«, рекоше му ови кад су дошли, »знамо да си истинољубив и да се ни на кога не обазиреш, јер не гледаш ко је ко, већ у складу са истином учиш народ Божијем путу. Да ли је право да се цару даје порез или није? Да ли да га дамо или не?«

15 Али Исус је знао да су лицемерни, па им рече: »Зашто ме искушавате? Донесите ми динар да га погледам.«

16 Они донеше, а он их упита: »Чији је ово лик и натпис?«

»Царев«, рекоше му они.

17 Тада им Исус рече: »Дајте цару царево, а Богу Божије.«

И они му се задивише.

Васкрсење мртвих

(Мт 22,23-33; Лк 20,27-40)

18 Онда дођоше к њему и садукеји, који кажу да нема васкрсења, па га упиташе: 19 »Учитељу, Мојсије нам је написао да ако неком умре брат и остави жену, али не остави деце, његов брат треба да се ожени том женом и подигне потомство своме брату.

20 »Била су седморица браће. Први се оженио и умро, али није оставио потомство. 21 Његову удовицу је узео други брат, па је и он умро без потомства. Исто се десило и са трећим. 22 И ниједан од седморице није оставио потомство. На крају је умрла и жена. 23 О васкрсењу – када васкрсну – чија ће она бити, пошто је свој седморици била жена?«

24 »У заблуди сте«, рече им Исус, »зато што не знате ни Писма ни Божију силу. 25 Јер, када људи устану из мртвих, неће се ни женити ни удавати, него ће бити као анђели на небу. 26 А о мртвима, да васкрсавају – зар нисте у Мојсијевој књизи читали оно о грму, када је Бог рекао Мојсију: ‚Ја сам Бог Авраамов, Бог Исааков и Бог Јаковљев.‘(B) 27 Он није Бог мртвих, него живих. У великој сте заблуди.«

Највећа заповест

(Мт 22,34-40; Лк 10,25-28)

28 Тада приђе један учитељ закона, који их је чуо како расправљају. Видевши да им је Исус добро одговорио, упита га: »Која је најважнија од свих заповести?«

29 »Ова је најважнија«, одговори Исус, »‚Чуј, Израеле! Господ, наш Бог, Господ је један! 30 Воли Господа, свога Бога, свим својим срцем, свом својом душом, свим својим умом и свом својом снагом.‘(C) 31 А друга је: ‚Воли свога ближњега као самога себе.‘(D) Нема већих заповести од ових.«

32 »Лепо речено, учитељу«, рече му учитељ закона. »У праву си кад кажеш да је Бог само један и да нема другог осим њега. 33 Волети га свим својим срцем, свим својим умом и свом својом снагом, и волети ближњега као самога себе важније је од свих паљеница и кланих жртава.«

34 Видевши да је човек разумно одговорио, Исус му рече: »Ниси далеко од Божијег царства.«

И нико се више није усудио да га нешто пита.

Чији је Христос син?

(Мт 22,41-46; Лк 20,41-44)

35 Док је учио народ у Храму, Исус упита: »Зашто учитељи закона говоре да је Христос Давидов син? 36 Сам Давид рече у Светом Духу:

‚Рече Господ моме Господу:
седи ми здесна
    док твоје непријатеље
    не положим под твоје ноге.‘(E)

37 Дакле, сâм Давид га зове Господом. Како он онда може да му буде син?« А силан народ га је са уживањем слушао.

Упозорење против учитеља закона

(Мт 23,1-36; Лк 20,45-47)

38 Учећи их, Исус рече: »Чувајте се учитељâ закона. Они воле да иду у дугим огртачима, да их поздрављају на трговима, 39 прва седишта у синагогама и почасна места на гозбама. 40 Они прождиру удовичке куће и размећу се дугим молитвама. Такви ће бити најстроже кажњени.«

Удовичин прилог

(Лк 21,1-4)

41 Исус седе преко пута храмске ризнице и поче да посматра људе како у њу стављају новац. А многи богаташи су стављали много. 42 Дође и једна сиромашна удовица и стави два лептона[a], то јест један кодрант.

43 Тада Исус позва к себи своје ученике, па им рече: »Истину вам кажем: ова сиромашна удовица је ставила више од свих који су стављали у ризницу. 44 Јер, сви су они ставили од свога вишка, а она је од своје сиротиње ставила све – све што је имала за живот.«
