여러분의 자유를 지켜라
5 그리스도께서는 우리로 하여금 자유를 누리며 살게 해 주시려고 우리를 해방시켜 주셨습니다. 그러니 굳게 서서 다시는 율법의 종 노릇을 하지 마십시오. 2 잘 들으십시오! 나 바울이 말합니다. 여러분이 할례를 받음으로써 다시 율법으로 돌아간다면, 그리스도가 여러분에게 아무런 쓸모가 없는 분이 됩니다. 3 내가 다시 모든 사람에게 경고합니다. 할례를 받는 모든 사람은 모세의 법을 모두 지켜야 합니다. 4 율법을 통하여 하나님께서 받아 주실 만한 사람이 되려고 하는 사람은, 그리스도와는 아무런 상관도 없는 사람이 되어 버립니다. 하나님의 은혜에서 완전히 떨어져 나간 것입니다. 5 내가 이렇게 말하는 것은, 하나님께서 우리를 받아 주시리라는 우리의 희망이 믿음에서 오는 것이기 때문입니다. 그리고 성령께서 우리를 도우셔서 그 희망을 기다릴 수 있게 해 주십니다. 6 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 사람에게는, 할례를 받고 안 받고는 전혀 중요하지 않습니다. 중요한 것은 믿음, 곧 사랑을 통해서 표현되는 믿음입니다.
7 여러분은 잘 달리고 있었습니다. 그런데 누가 여러분을 가로막아 진리를 따르지 못하게 합니까? 8 여러분으로 하여금 진리를 떠나게 하려고 여러분을 설득하는 데 쓰인 논쟁들은, 여러분을 부르시는 하나님께로부터 온 것이 아닙니다. 9 “적은 누룩이 반죽 전체를 부풀린다.”[a] 라고 하였습니다. 10 나는 여러분이 내가 여러분에게 가르친 것 말고 다른 견해를 받아들이지 않으리라고 주님 안에서 확신합니다. 이렇게 여러분을 혼란에 빠뜨리는 사람은, 그가 누구든 벌을 받을 것입니다.
11 형제자매 여러분, 내가 아직도 꼭 할례를 받아야 한다고 가르친다면, 어찌하여 아직도 박해를 당하고 있겠습니까? 내가 만일 그렇게 가르친다면, 십자가가 더 이상 사람들에게 거리낌이 되지 않을 것입니다. 12 할례 문제로 여러분을 선동하는 그 사람들은, 할례에서 그치지 말고 아예 자신들을 거세[b]까지 해 버렸으면 좋겠습니다!
13 형제자매 여러분, 여러분은 자유롭게 살라고 하나님의 부르심을 받았습니다. 그러나 여러분의 자유를 핑계로 자신의 이기적인 욕구를 채워서는 안 됩니다. 오히려 사랑으로 서로를 섬기는 종이 되십시오. 14 율법 전체가 “네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라.”(A)는 이 한 계명으로 요약될 수 있습니다. 15 만일 여러분이 계속 서로를 물어뜯고 집어삼키려 들면, 여러분 모두가 멸망하고 말 것입니다. 그렇게 되지 않도록 조심하십시오.
성령과 인간의 본성
16 그러므로 다시 말씀드립니다. 성령을 따라 사십시오. 그러면 여러분이 자신의 이기적인 욕구를 채우지 않게 될 것입니다. 17 우리의 이기적인 본성은 성령을 거스르는 것을 바라고, 성령께서는 우리의 이기적인 본성을 거스르는 것을 바라십니다. 여러분이 하고 싶어하는 일을 할 수 없게 하려고 이 둘이 서로 맞서 싸우고 있습니다. 18 그러나 여러분이 성령께서 인도하시는 대로 따르면, 여러분은 율법의 지배를 받지 않습니다.
19 우리의 이기적인 본성이 저지르는 짓들은 분명합니다. 성적 부도덕, 더러움, 방탕, 20 우상 숭배, 마술, 미움, 다툼, 질투, 성냄, 이기적인 야망, 분열, 분파, 21 시기, 술 취함, 흥청거리며 먹고 마시는 연회, 또 이와 비슷한 것들입니다. 전에도 여러분에게 경고한 것처럼 지금 다시 경고합니다. 이런 짓을 일삼는 사람들은 하나님의 나라를 유산으로 물려받지 못할 것입니다. 22 그러나 성령의 열매는 사랑, 기쁨, 평화, 인내, 친절, 선함, 신실, 23 온유, 절제입니다. 이런 것들을 금하는 법은 없습니다. 24 그리스도 예수께 속하는 사람들은 자신들의 이기적인 본성과, 거기에서 나오는 정욕과 욕망을 십자가에 못 박았습니다. 25 이제 우리는 성령을 힘입어 새로운 삶을 살고 있으니, 성령께서 인도하시는 대로 따라갑시다. 26 우리는 잘난 체 우쭐거리거나, 서로를 노엽게 하거나, 시기하지 맙시다.

5 基督释放了我们，是要我们得自由。所以，要站稳了，不要再被奴仆的轭辖制。
2 听着！我保罗郑重地告诉你们，如果你们接受割礼，基督对你们就毫无益处。 3 我再次警告所有接受割礼的人，他们必须遵守全部的律法。 4 你们若想靠遵行律法而被称为义人，就与基督隔绝了，并且离开了上帝的恩典。 5 但我们要靠着圣灵，凭信心热切等候所盼望的义。 6 我们既然已经在基督耶稣里，受不受割礼根本无关紧要，借着爱表现出来的信心才至关重要。
7 你们本来在信心的路上一直跑得很好。现在是谁拦阻了你们，叫你们不再信从真理呢？ 8 当然不是呼召你们的上帝！ 9 “一点面酵能使整团面发起来。” 10 我在主里深信你们不会有二心，但无论谁搅扰你们，都必受审判。
11 弟兄姊妹，如果我仍旧主张行割礼，怎么还会受迫害呢？如果是那样，十字架冒犯人的地方就被消除了。 12 我恨不得那些搅扰你们的人把自己阉了[a]！
13 弟兄姊妹，你们蒙召得了自由，但不要以自由为借口来放纵情欲，要本着爱心互相服侍， 14 因为全部的律法可以总结成一句话：“要爱邻如己”。 15 你们要谨慎，如果你们相咬相吞，恐怕会同归于尽。
顺从圣灵而行
16 因此，我劝你们行事为人要顺从圣灵的引导，这样就不会放纵罪恶本性的私欲。 17 因为人罪恶本性的私欲与圣灵作对，圣灵也与罪恶本性的私欲作对，两者势不两立，使你们不能做自己想做的事。 18 但你们如果顺从圣灵的引导，就不再受律法的约束。 19 顺从罪恶本性而行的事显而易见，如淫乱、污秽、邪荡、 20 拜偶像、行邪术、仇恨、争吵、忌恨、恼怒、纷争、冲突、分裂[b]、 21 嫉妒、凶杀、醉酒和荒宴无度等。我从前警告过你们，现在再一次警告你们：行这些事的人必不能承受上帝的国。
22 但圣灵所结的果子是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、 23 温柔、节制。没有律法会禁止这些事。 24 那些属基督的人已经把罪恶的本性和本性里的邪情私欲都钉在十字架上了。 25 如果我们是靠圣灵生活，就当凡事顺从圣灵的引导。 26 我们不要自高自大，彼此惹气，互相嫉妒。

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Freedom in Christ
5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.(A) Stand firm,(B) then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.(C)
2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised,(D) Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.(E) 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law(F) have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.(G) 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.(H) 6 For in Christ Jesus(I) neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value.(J) The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.(K)
7 You were running a good race.(L) Who cut in on you(M) to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.(N) 9 “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.”(O) 10 I am confident(P) in the Lord that you will take no other view.(Q) The one who is throwing you into confusion,(R) whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. 11 Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted?(S) In that case the offense(T) of the cross has been abolished. 12 As for those agitators,(U) I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
Life by the Spirit
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.(V) But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a];(W) rather, serve one another(X) humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b](Y) 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit,(Z) and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.(AA) 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.(AB) They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want.(AC) 18 But if you are led by the Spirit,(AD) you are not under the law.(AE)
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality,(AF) impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.(AG) I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.(AH)
22 But the fruit(AI) of the Spirit is love,(AJ) joy, peace,(AK) forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.(AL) Against such things there is no law.(AM) 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh(AN) with its passions and desires.(AO) 25 Since we live by the Spirit,(AP) let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited,(AQ) provoking and envying each other.
