9 耶稣上了船，渡过海，来到自己的城里。 2 有人用褥子抬着一个瘫子到耶稣跟前来。耶稣见他们的信心，就对瘫子说：“小子，放心吧，你的罪赦了！” 3 有几个文士心里说：“这个人说僭妄的话了！” 4 耶稣知道他们的心意，就说：“你们为什么心里怀着恶念呢？ 5 或说‘你的罪赦了’，或说‘你起来行走’，哪一样容易呢？ 6 但要叫你们知道，人子在地上有赦罪的权柄。”就对瘫子说：“起来，拿你的褥子回家去吧！” 7 那人就起来，回家去了。 8 众人看见都惊奇，就归荣耀于神，因为他将这样的权柄赐给人。
马太被召
9 耶稣从那里往前走，看见一个人，名叫马太，坐在税关上，就对他说：“你跟从我来！”他就起来跟从了耶稣。
10 耶稣在屋里坐席的时候，有好些税吏和罪人来，与耶稣和他的门徒一同坐席。 11 法利赛人看见，就对耶稣的门徒说：“你们的先生为什么和税吏并罪人一同吃饭呢？” 12 耶稣听见就说：“康健的人用不着医生，有病的人才用得着。 13 经上说：‘我喜爱怜恤，不喜爱祭祀’，这句话的意思你们且去揣摩；我来本不是召义人，乃是召罪人。”
新旧难合的比喻
14 那时，约翰的门徒来见耶稣，说：“我们和法利赛人常常禁食，你的门徒倒不禁食，这是为什么呢？” 15 耶稣对他们说：“新郎和陪伴之人同在的时候，陪伴之人岂能哀恸呢？但日子将到，新郎要离开他们，那时候他们就要禁食。 16 没有人把新布补在旧衣服上，因为所补上的反带坏了那衣服，破的就更大了。 17 也没有人把新酒装在旧皮袋里，若是这样，皮袋就裂开，酒漏出来，连皮袋也坏了。唯独把新酒装在新皮袋里，两样就都保全了。”
医患血漏的女人
18 耶稣说这话的时候，有一个管会堂的来拜他，说：“我女儿刚才死了，求你去按手在她身上，她就必活了。” 19 耶稣便起来跟着他去，门徒也跟了去。 20 有一个女人患了十二年的血漏，来到耶稣背后，摸他的衣裳穗子， 21 因为她心里说：“我只摸他的衣裳，就必痊愈。” 22 耶稣转过来看见她，就说：“女儿，放心！你的信救了你。”从那时候，女人就痊愈了。
医治管会堂者的女儿
23 耶稣到了管会堂的家里，看见有吹手，又有许多人乱嚷， 24 就说：“退去吧！这闺女不是死了，是睡着了。”他们就嗤笑他。 25 众人既被撵出，耶稣就进去，拉着闺女的手，闺女便起来了。 26 于是这风声传遍了那地方。
两个瞎子得医治
27 耶稣从那里往前走，有两个瞎子跟着他，喊叫说：“大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！” 28 耶稣进了房子，瞎子就来到他跟前，耶稣说：“你们信我能做这事吗？”他们说：“主啊，我们信。” 29 耶稣就摸他们的眼睛，说：“照着你们的信给你们成全了吧！” 30 他们的眼睛就开了。耶稣切切地嘱咐他们，说：“你们要小心，不可叫人知道。” 31 他们出去，竟把他的名声传遍了那地方。
赶出哑巴鬼
32 他们出去的时候，有人将鬼所附的一个哑巴带到耶稣跟前来。 33 鬼被赶出去，哑巴就说出话来。众人都稀奇说：“在以色列中从来没有见过这样的事！” 34 法利赛人却说：“他是靠着鬼王赶鬼。”
35 耶稣走遍各城各乡，在会堂里教训人，宣讲天国的福音，又医治各样的病症。 36 他看见许多的人，就怜悯他们，因为他们困苦流离，如同羊没有牧人一般。 37 于是对门徒说：“要收的庄稼多，做工的人少。 38 所以，你们当求庄稼的主打发工人出去收他的庄稼。”

Jesús perdona y sana a un paralítico(A)
9 Después de esto, Jesús subió a una barca, pasó al otro lado del lago y llegó a su propio pueblo. 2 Allí le llevaron un paralítico, acostado en una camilla; y cuando Jesús vio la fe que tenían, le dijo al enfermo:
—Ánimo, hijo; tus pecados quedan perdonados.
3 Algunos maestros de la ley pensaron: «Lo que éste ha dicho es una ofensa contra Dios.» 4 Pero como Jesús se dio cuenta de lo que estaban pensando, les preguntó:
—¿Por qué tienen ustedes tan malos pensamientos? 5 ¿Qué es más fácil, decir: “Tus pecados quedan perdonados”, o decir: “Levántate y anda”? 6 Pues voy a demostrarles que el Hijo del hombre tiene autoridad en la tierra para perdonar pecados.
Entonces le dijo al paralítico:
—Levántate, toma tu camilla y vete a tu casa.
7 El paralítico se levantó y se fue a su casa. 8 Al ver esto, la gente tuvo miedo y alabó a Dios por haber dado tal poder a los hombres.
Jesús llama a Mateo(B)
9 Jesús se fue de allí y vio a un hombre llamado Mateo, que estaba sentado en el lugar donde cobraba los impuestos para Roma. Jesús le dijo:
—Sígueme.
Entonces Mateo se levantó y lo siguió.
10 Sucedió que Jesús estaba comiendo en la casa, y muchos de los que cobraban impuestos para Roma, y otra gente de mala fama, llegaron y se sentaron también a la mesa junto con Jesús y sus discípulos. 11 Al ver esto, los fariseos preguntaron a los discípulos:
—¿Cómo es que su maestro come con cobradores de impuestos y pecadores?
12 Jesús lo oyó y les dijo:
—Los que están buenos y sanos no necesitan médico, sino los enfermos. 13 Vayan y aprendan el significado de estas palabras: “Lo que quiero es que sean compasivos, y no que ofrezcan sacrificios.” Pues yo no he venido a llamar a los justos, sino a los pecadores.
La pregunta sobre el ayuno(C)
14 Los seguidores de Juan el Bautista se acercaron a Jesús y le preguntaron:
—Nosotros y los fariseos ayunamos mucho, ¿por qué tus discípulos no ayunan?
15 Jesús les contestó:
—¿Acaso pueden estar tristes los invitados a una boda, mientras el novio está con ellos? Pero llegará el momento en que se lleven al novio; entonces sí ayunarán.
16 «Nadie arregla un vestido viejo con un remiendo de tela nueva, porque el remiendo nuevo se encoge y rompe el vestido viejo, y el desgarrón se hace mayor. 17 Ni tampoco se echa vino nuevo en cueros viejos, porque los cueros se revientan, y tanto el vino como los cueros se pierden. Por eso hay que echar el vino nuevo en cueros nuevos, para que así se conserven las dos cosas.»
La mujer enferma y la hija de Jairo(D)
18 Mientras Jesús les estaba hablando, un jefe de los judíos llegó, se arrodilló ante él y le dijo:
—Mi hija acaba de morir; pero si tú vienes y pones tu mano sobre ella, volverá a la vida.
19 Jesús se levantó, y acompañado de sus discípulos se fue con él. 20 Entonces una mujer que desde hacía doce años estaba enferma, con derrames de sangre, se acercó a Jesús por detrás y le tocó el borde de la capa. 21 Porque pensaba: «Tan sólo con que llegue a tocar su capa, quedaré sana.» 22 Pero Jesús se dio la vuelta, vio a la mujer y le dijo:
—Ánimo, hija, por tu fe has sido sanada.
Y desde aquel mismo momento quedó sana.
23 Cuando Jesús llegó a casa del jefe de los judíos, y vio que los músicos estaban preparados ya para el entierro y que la gente lloraba a gritos, 24 les dijo:
—Sálganse de aquí, pues la muchacha no está muerta, sino dormida.
La gente se rió de Jesús, 25 pero él los hizo salir; luego entró y tomó de la mano a la muchacha, y ella se levantó. 26 Y por toda aquella región corrió la noticia de lo que había pasado.
Jesús sana a dos ciegos
27 Al salir Jesús de allí, dos ciegos lo siguieron, gritando:
—¡Ten compasión de nosotros, Hijo de David!
28 Cuando Jesús entró en la casa, los ciegos se le acercaron, y él les preguntó:
—¿Creen ustedes que puedo hacer esto?
—Sí, Señor —le contestaron.
29 Entonces Jesús les tocó los ojos, y les dijo:
—Que se haga conforme a la fe que ustedes tienen.
30 Y recobraron la vista. Jesús les advirtió mucho:
— Procuren que no lo sepa nadie.
31 Pero, apenas salieron, contaron por toda aquella región lo que Jesús había hecho.
Jesús sana a un mudo
32 Mientras los ciegos salían, algunas personas trajeron a Jesús un mudo que estaba endemoniado. 33 En cuanto Jesús expulsó al demonio, el mudo comenzó a hablar. La gente, admirada, decía:
—¡Nunca se ha visto en Israel una cosa igual!
34 Pero los fariseos decían:
—Es el propio jefe de los demonios quien le ha dado a éste el poder de expulsarlos.
La cosecha es mucha
35 Jesús recorría todos los pueblos y aldeas, enseñando en las sinagogas de cada lugar. Anunciaba la buena noticia del reino, y curaba toda clase de enfermedades y dolencias. 36 Al ver a la gente, sintió compasión de ellos, porque estaban cansados y abatidos, como ovejas que no tienen pastor. 37 Dijo entonces a sus discípulos:
—Ciertamente la cosecha es mucha, pero los trabajadores son pocos. 38 Por eso, pidan ustedes al Dueño de la cosecha que mande trabajadores a recogerla.

Jesus Heals a Paralytic
2 And some people were carrying to him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, child; your sins are forgiven.”(B) 3 Then some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.” 4 But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?(C) 5 For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’? 6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Stand up, take your bed, and go to your home.” 7 And he stood up and went to his home. 8 When the crowds saw it, they were filled with awe, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to human beings.(D)
The Call of Matthew
9 As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax-collection station, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.
10 And as he sat at dinner[a] in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came and were sitting[b] with Jesus and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”(E) 12 But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.”(F)
The Question about Fasting
14 Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often,[c] but your disciples do not fast?”(G) 15 And Jesus said to them, “The wedding attendants cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.(H) 16 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old cloak, for the patch pulls away from the cloak, and a worse tear is made. 17 Neither is new wine put into old wineskins; otherwise, the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins are ruined, but new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
18 While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”(I) 19 And Jesus got up and followed him, with his disciples. 20 Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak,(J) 21 for she was saying to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well.”(K) 22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that moment.(L) 23 When Jesus came to the leader’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion,(M) 24 he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.(N) 25 But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. 26 And the report of this spread through all of that district.
Jesus Heals Two Blind Men
27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”(O) 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you have faith that I can do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith, let it be done to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly ordered them, “See that no one knows of this.”(P) 31 But they went away and spread the news about him through all of that district.(Q)
Jesus Heals One Who Was Mute
32 After they had gone away, a demon-possessed man who was mute was brought to him.(R) 33 And when the demon had been cast out, the one who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed and said, “Never has anything like this been seen in Israel.” 34 But the Pharisees were saying, “By the ruler of the demons he casts out the demons.”(S)
The Harvest Is Great, the Laborers Few
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness.(T) 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.(U) 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;(V) 38 therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

9 And Jesus, getting into a boat, crossed to the other side and came to His own town [Capernaum].
2 And behold, they brought to Him a man paralyzed and prostrated by illness, lying on a sleeping pad; and when Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralyzed man, Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven and the [a]penalty remitted.
3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, This man blasphemes [He claims the rights and prerogatives of God]!
4 But Jesus, knowing ([b]seeing) their thoughts, said, Why do you think evil and harbor [c]malice in your hearts?
5 For which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven and the [d]penalty remitted, or to say, Get up and walk?
6 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins and [e]remit the penalty, He then said to the paralyzed man, Get up! Pick up your sleeping pad and go to your own house.
7 And he got up and went away to his own house.
8 When the crowds saw it, they were struck with fear and awe; and they [f]recognized God and praised and thanked Him, Who had given such power and authority to men.
9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s office; and He said to him, [g]Be My disciple [side with My party and follow Me]. And he rose and followed Him.
10 And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and [h][especially wicked] sinners came and sat (reclined) with Him and His disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat with tax collectors and those [preeminently] sinful?
12 But when Jesus heard it, He replied, Those who are strong and well (healthy) have no need of a physician, but those who are weak and sick.
13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy [that is, [i]readiness to help those in trouble] and not sacrifice and sacrificial victims. For I came not to call and invite [to repentance] the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), but sinners (the erring ones and all those not free from sin).(A)
14 Then the disciples of John came to Jesus, inquiring, Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast [j]often, [that is, abstain from food and drink as a religious exercise], but Your disciples do not fast?
15 And Jesus replied to them, Can the wedding guests mourn while the bridegroom is still with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.
16 And no one puts a piece of cloth that has not been shrunk on an old garment, for such a patch tears away from the garment and a worse rent (tear) is made.
17 Neither is new wine put in old wineskins; for if it is, the skins burst and are [k]torn in pieces, and the wine is spilled and the skins are ruined. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.
18 While He was talking this way to them, behold, a ruler entered and, kneeling down, worshiped Him, saying, My daughter has just [l]now died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will come to life.
19 And Jesus got up and accompanied him, with His disciples.
20 And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment;(B)
21 For she kept saying to herself, If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health.
22 Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health.
23 And when Jesus came to the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making an uproar and din,
24 He said, Go away; for the girl is not dead but sleeping. And they laughed and jeered at Him.
25 But when the crowd had been ordered to go outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
26 And the news about this spread through all that district.
27 As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!
28 When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord.
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you;
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus earnestly and sternly charged them, See that you let no one know about this.
31 But they went off and blazed and spread His fame abroad throughout that whole district.
32 And while they were going away, behold, a dumb man under the power of a demon was brought to Jesus.
33 And when the demon was driven out, the dumb man spoke; and the crowds were stunned with bewildered wonder, saying, Never before has anything like this been seen in Israel.
34 But the Pharisees said, He drives out demons through and with the help of the prince of demons.
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity.
36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.(C)
37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few.
38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to [m]force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.
