不要评断
7 “不要评断人，免得你们被评断。 2 因为，你们用什么标准来评断，也会同样地被评断；你们用什么量器[a]来衡量，也会同样地被衡量。 3 你为什么看见你弟兄眼里的木屑，却不想自己眼里的梁木呢？ 4 又怎么能对你弟兄说‘让我除掉你眼里的木屑’呢？看哪，你自己眼里还有梁木呢！ 5 你这伪善的人！先除掉你自己眼里的梁木，然后你才能看得清楚，好除掉你弟兄眼里的木屑。 6 不要把神圣之物丢给狗，也不要把你们的珍珠丢在猪面前，免得它们用脚把这些践踏了，然后转身撕咬你们。
不断祈求
7 “不断祈求吧，就会给你们；不断寻找吧，就会找到；不断敲门吧，就会为你们开门。 8 因为凡祈求的，就得到；寻找的，就找到；敲门的，就为他开门。 9 你们当中有哪个人，儿子要饼，却给他石头呢？ 10 儿子要鱼，却给他蛇呢？ 11 所以，如果你们做为恶人也知道把好的东西给自己的儿女，更何况你们在天上的父要把美好的赐给求他的人呢！ 12 因此在任何事上，你们希望别人怎样对待你们，你们也应当怎样对待别人。要知道，这就是律法和先知[b]的教导[c]。
要进窄门
13 “你们要从窄门进去；因为那通向灭亡[d]的门是大的，那条路是宽的，从那里进去的人也多； 14 然而，那通向永生[e]的门是多么小，路是多么窄，找到它的人是多么少。
15 “你们要提防假先知。他们披着羊皮来到你们这里，里面却是凶残的狼。 16 凭着他们的果子，你们就能认出他们来。难道从荆棘上能收葡萄，从蒺藜中能收无花果吗？ 17 同样，好树都结好果子，坏树就结坏果子； 18 好树不能结坏果子，坏树也不能结好果子。 19 所有不结好果子的树都要被砍下来，被丢进火里。 20 因此凭着他们的果子，你们就能认出他们来。
21 “不是每一个称呼我‘主啊，主啊’的人，都能进入天国；只有遵行我天父旨意的人，才能进去。 22 在那一天，有许多人会对我说：‘主啊，主啊，我们不是奉你的名做先知传道[f]，奉你的名驱赶鬼魔，奉你的名行了很多神迹吗？’ 23 那时候，我要向他们宣告：‘我从来不认识你们。离开我，你们这些作恶[g]的人！’[h]
两种根基
24 “因此，凡是听了我这些话而实行的人，就好比一个聪明的人把自己的房子建在磐石上。 25 大雨降下，急流冲来，狂风刮起，撞击那房子，房子却没有倒塌，因为它在磐石上立定根基。 26 可是，凡是听了我这些话而不实行的人，就好比一个愚拙的人把自己的房子建在沙滩上。 27 大雨降下，急流冲来，狂风刮起，撞击那房子，房子就倒塌了，并且倒塌得非常厉害。”
28 当耶稣讲完了这些话，众人都对他的教导惊叹不已， 29 因为耶稣教导他们，就像有权柄的人，不像他们的经文士们。

El juzgar a los demás(A)
7 »No juzguen, para que no sean juzgados. 2 Porque con el juicio con que ustedes juzgan, serán juzgados; y con la medida con que miden, serán medidos.(B) 3 ¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no miras la viga que está en tu propio ojo? 4 ¿Cómo dirás a tu hermano: “Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo”, cuando tienes una viga en el tuyo? 5 ¡Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.
6 »No den ustedes lo santo a los perros, ni echen sus perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que las pisoteen, y se vuelvan contra ustedes y los despedacen.
La oración, y la regla de oro(C)
7 »Pidan, y se les dará, busquen, y encontrarán, llamen, y se les abrirá. 8 Porque todo aquel que pide, recibe, y el que busca, encuentra, y al que llama, se le abre. 9 ¿Quién de ustedes, si su hijo le pide pan, le da una piedra? 10 ¿O si le pide un pescado, le da una serpiente? 11 Pues si ustedes, que son malos, saben dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, ¡cuánto más su Padre que está en los cielos dará buenas cosas a los que le pidan! 12 Así que, todo lo que quieran que la gente haga con ustedes, eso mismo hagan ustedes con ellos, porque en esto se resumen la ley y los profetas.
La puerta estrecha(D)
13 »Entren por la puerta estrecha, porque ancha es la puerta y espacioso el camino que lleva a la perdición, y muchos son los que entran por ella. 14 Pero estrecha es la puerta y angosto el camino que lleva a la vida, y pocos son los que la encuentran.
Según el árbol es el fruto(E)
15 »Cuídense de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes disfrazados de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces. 16 Ustedes los conocerán por sus frutos, pues no se recogen uvas de los espinos, ni higos de los abrojos. 17 Del mismo modo, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da frutos malos. 18 El buen árbol no puede dar frutos malos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos. 19 Todo árbol que no da buen fruto, es cortado y echado en el fuego.(F) 20 Así que ustedes los conocerán por sus frutos.(G)

21 »No todo el que me dice: “Señor, Señor”, entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos. 22 En aquel día, muchos me dirán: “Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre, y en tu nombre echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?” 23 Pero yo les diré claramente: “Nunca los conocí. ¡Apártense de mí, obreros de la maldad!”(I)

24 »A cualquiera que me oye estas palabras, y las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre prudente, que edificó su casa sobre la roca. 25 Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, pero ésta no se vino abajo, porque estaba fundada sobre la roca. 26 Por otro lado, a cualquiera que me oye estas palabras y no las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre insensato, que edificó su casa sobre la arena. 27 Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, y ésta se vino abajo, y su ruina fue estrepitosa.»
28 Cuando Jesús terminó de hablar, la gente se admiraba de su enseñanza, 29 porque les enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.(K)

Judging
7 “Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2 You’ll receive the same judgment you give. Whatever you deal out will be dealt out to you. 3 Why do you see the splinter that’s in your brother’s or sister’s eye, but don’t notice the log in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother or sister, ‘Let me take the splinter out of your eye,’ when there’s a log in your eye? 5 You deceive yourself! First take the log out of your eye, and then you’ll see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s or sister’s eye. 6 Don’t give holy things to dogs, and don’t throw your pearls in front of pigs. They will stomp on the pearls, then turn around and attack you.
Asking, seeking, knocking
7 “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Whoever seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door is opened. 9 Who among you will give your children a stone when they ask for bread? 10 Or give them a snake when they ask for fish? 11 If you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him. 12 Therefore, you should treat people in the same way that you want people to treat you; this is the Law and the Prophets.
Narrow gate
13 “Go in through the narrow gate. The gate that leads to destruction is broad and the road wide, so many people enter through it. 14 But the gate that leads to life is narrow and the road difficult, so few people find it.
Tree and fruit
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you dressed like sheep, but inside they are vicious wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruit. Do people get bunches of grapes from thorny weeds, or do they get figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, and every rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit. And a rotten tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore, you will know them by their fruit.
Entrance requirements
21 “Not everybody who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 On the Judgment Day, many people will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name and expel demons in your name and do lots of miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I’ll tell them, ‘I’ve never known you. Get away from me, you people who do wrong.’
Two foundations
24 “Everybody who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise builder who built a house on bedrock. 25 The rain fell, the floods came, and the wind blew and beat against that house. It didn’t fall because it was firmly set on bedrock. 26 But everybody who hears these words of mine and doesn’t put them into practice will be like a fool who built a house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the floods came, and the wind blew and beat against that house. It fell and was completely destroyed.”
Crowd’s response
28 When Jesus finished these words, the crowds were amazed at his teaching 29 because he was teaching them like someone with authority and not like their legal experts.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Ask, Seek, Knock(D)
7 “Ask and it will be given to you;(E) seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;(F) and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts(G) to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you,(H) for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.(I)
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 “Enter through the narrow gate.(J) For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
True and False Prophets

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice(X) is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things,(Y) the crowds were amazed at his teaching,(Z) 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
