预言圣殿被毁
24 耶稣从圣殿出来，往前走的时候，他的门徒们上前来，把圣殿的建筑指给他看。 2 耶稣回应说：“你们不是看见了这一切吗？我确实地告诉你们：这里将绝不会有一块石头留在另一块石头上而不被拆下。”
末日的预兆
3 耶稣在橄榄山上坐着，门徒们悄悄地前来问他：“请告诉我们，这些事什么时候会发生呢？你的来临和这世代的终结会有什么预兆呢？”
4 耶稣回答他们，说：“你们要当心，免得有人迷惑你们。 5 因为许多人会以我的名而来，声称‘我是基督’，并且会迷惑许多人。 6 你们也将会听见战争和战争的消息。要注意，不可惊慌，因为这些事必须发生，不过结局还没有到。 7 一个民族要起来反对另一个民族，一个国家要起来反对另一个国家；到处都会有饥荒[a]和地震。 8 这些都像临产阵痛的开始。
预言受迫害
9 “那时，他们将要出卖你们，使你们受患难，甚至杀害你们。为了我的名，你们将被万民憎恨。 10 那时，许多人将被绊倒[b]，彼此出卖，彼此憎恨； 11 并且会有许多假先知起来，迷惑许多人； 12 由于罪恶[c]增多，许多人的爱心就会冷淡。 13 但是忍耐到底的，这个人将会得救。 14 这天国的福音将被传遍天下，好对万国做见证，然后结局才会到来。
大患难的日子
15 “当你们看见藉着先知但以理所说的‘那带来毁灭的亵渎者[d]’[e]站在圣地的时候——读者应当思考—— 16 那时，在犹太的人应当逃到山里； 17 在屋顶上的人，不要下来拿屋子里的东西； 18 在田里的人，不要返回去拿自己的衣服。 19 在那些日子里，孕妇和哺乳的女人有祸了！ 20 你们要祷告，好让你们逃难的时候不在冬天，也不在安息日。 21 因为那时将有大患难。这样的患难从世界开始直到如今，从来没有发生过，也绝不再发生。 22 如果那些日子不被减少，就没有一个人[f]能得救。可是为了那些蒙拣选的人，那些日子将被减少。
23 “那时候，如果有人对你们说‘看哪，基督在这里！’或‘他在那里！’你们不要相信。 24 因为假基督们和假先知们会出现，行大神迹和奇事，如果有可能，甚至迷惑那些蒙拣选的人。 25 看哪，我已经预先告诉你们了！ 26 所以，如果有人对你们说‘看哪，基督在旷野里！’你们不要出去；有人说：‘看哪，他在内室里！’你们也不要相信； 27 因为就像闪电从东边发出，直照到西边，人子的来临也将要这样。 28 尸体在哪里，秃鹰就聚集在哪里。
人子的来临
29 “那些日子的患难一过去，
‘太阳就要变黑，
月亮也不发光，
星辰要从天上坠落，
诸天的各势力也将被震动。’
30 “那时候，人子的征兆将要显现在天上，地上的万族都要捶胸哀哭。他们将要看见人子带着极大的权能和荣耀，在天上的云彩中来临。 31 在嘹亮的号角声中，他要差派他的天使们从四方，从天这边到天那边，召集他所拣选的人。
无花果树的比喻
32 “你们要从无花果树那里学个比喻：当无花果树的枝子发嫩长出叶子的时候，你们就知道夏天快到了。 33 照样，当你们看见这一切的时候，你们就知道人子[g]快到了，就在门口了。 34 我确实地告诉你们：在这一切事发生之前，这世代绝不会过去。 35 天和地将要消逝，但是我的话绝不会消逝。
无人知道那日子和那时刻
36 “至于那日子和那时刻，没有人知道，连诸天之上的天使们也不知道，子也不知道，[h]唯有父知道。 37 挪亚的那些日子怎样，人子的来临也将要怎样。 38 在洪水以前的那些日子里，人们继续吃、喝、嫁、娶，直到挪亚进方舟的那一天。 39 他们毫不察觉，直到洪水到来，把一切冲走。人子的来临，也将是这样。 40 那时，两个人在田里，一个被接去，一个被留下。 41 两个女人在磨石那里推磨，一个被接去，一个被留下。 42 所以你们要警醒，因为你们不知道你们的主哪一天[i]回来。 43 不过你们应当知道这一点：一家的主人如果知道贼什么时刻[j]来，他就会警醒，不让他的房子被人钻进。 44 你们为了这缘故也应当做好准备，因为在你们意想不到的时候，人子就来了。
忠仆与恶仆
45 “究竟谁是那又忠心又聪明的奴仆——受主人委任统管他家里的人、按时给他们分粮的人呢？ 46 主人回来的时候，看见哪个奴仆这样做，那个奴仆就蒙福了。 47 我确实地告诉你们：主人会委任他统管自己所拥有的一切。 48 但如果这恶奴心里说‘我的主人会迟延回来[k]’， 49 就动手殴打与他同做奴仆的，并且与醉酒的人一起吃喝， 50 那么，这奴仆的主人就要在意想不到的日子、在他不知道的时刻回来， 51 并且会严厉惩罚他[l]，使他与那些伪善的人有同样的下场。在那里将有哀哭和切齿。

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times(A)
24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another;(B) every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,(C) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming(D) and of the end of the age?”(E)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.(F) 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.(G) 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(H) There will be famines(I) and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted(J) and put to death,(K) and you will be hated by all nations because of me.(L) 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets(M) will appear and deceive many people.(N) 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.(O) 14 And this gospel of the kingdom(P) will be preached in the whole world(Q) as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place(R) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a](S) spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop(T) go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!(U) 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.(V)
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect(W) those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.(X) 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders(Y) to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning(Z) that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming(AA) of the Son of Man.(AB) 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.(AC)
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b](AD)
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn(AE) when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven,(AF) with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels(AG) with a loud trumpet call,(AH) and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door.(AI) 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.(AJ) 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.(AK)
The Day and Hour Unknown(AL)(AM)
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father.(AN) 37 As it was in the days of Noah,(AO) so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,(AP) up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.(AQ) 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.(AR) 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(AS)
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.(AT) 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,(AU) he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready,(AV) because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant,(AW) whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.(AX) 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.(AY) 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.(AZ) 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(BA)

世の終わり
24 イエスが神殿の庭から出ようとしておられると、弟子たちが近寄って来て、「この神殿は、たいそうりっぱですね」と言いました。 2 ところが、イエスは言われました。「今、あなたがたが目を見張っているこれらの建物は、一つの石もほかの石の上に残らないほど、あとかたもなく壊されてしまいます。」
3 そのあと、イエスがオリーブ山の中腹に座っておられると、弟子たちが来てこっそり尋ねました。「そんな恐ろしいことがいつ起こるのですか。あなたがもう一度おいでになる時や、この世の終わりには、どんな前兆があるのでしょう。」
4 そこでイエスは、彼らに説明されました。「だれにもだまされないようにしなさい。 5 そのうち、自分こそキリストだと名乗る者が大ぜい現れて、多くの人を惑わすでしょう。 6 また、あちらこちらで戦争が始まったといううわさが流れるでしょう。だがそれは、わたしがもう一度来る時の前兆ではありません。こういう現象は必ず起こりますが、それでもまだ、終わりが来たのではありません。 7 民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、至る所でききんと地震が起こります。 8 しかし、これらはみな、やがて起こる恐ろしい出来事のほんの始まりにすぎないのです。
9 その時、あなたがたは苦しめられ、殺されることもあるでしょう。また、わたしの弟子だというだけで、世界中の人から憎まれるでしょう。 10 ですから、その時には多くの者が罪の生活に逆戻りし、互いに裏切り、憎み合います。 11 また多くの偽預言者が現れ、大ぜいの人を惑わします。 12 罪があらゆる所にはびこり、人々の愛は冷えきってしまいます。 13 けれども、最後まで耐え忍ぶ者は救われるのです。
14 そして、御国についてのすばらしい知らせが全世界に宣べ伝えられ、すべての国民がそれを耳にします。それから、ほんとうの終わりが来るのです。
15 ですから、預言者ダニエルが語った、あの恐るべきもの（ダニエル9・27、11・31）が聖所に立つのを見たなら〔読者よ、この意味をよく考えなさい〕、 16 その時は、ユダヤにいる人たちは山に逃げなさい。 17 屋上にいる人たちは、家の中の物を持ち出そうと下に降りてはいけません。 18 畑で仕事をしている人たちは、着物を取りに戻ってはいけません。
19 このような日には、妊娠している女と乳飲み子をかかえている母親はたいへん不幸です。 20 あなたがたの逃げる日が、冬や安息日にならないように祈りなさい。 21 その時には、歴史上、類を見ないような大迫害が起こるからです。
22 もし、このような迫害の期間が短くされないなら、一人として救われないでしょう。だが、神に選ばれた人たちのために、この期間は短くされるのです。
23 その時、『キリストがここにおられるぞ』とか、『あそこだ』『いや、ここだ』などとうわさが乱れ飛んでも、そんなデマを信じてはいけません。 24 それは、偽キリストや偽預言者たちです。彼らは不思議な奇跡を行って、できることなら、神に選ばれた者たちさえ惑わそうとするのです。 25 いいですね。よく警告しておきます。
26 ですから、だれかが、『メシヤがまたおいでになった。荒野におられる』と知らせても、わざわざ見に出かけることはありません。また、『メシヤはこれこれの所に隠れておられる』と言っても、信じてはいけません。 27 なぜなら、メシヤのわたしは、いなずまが東から西へひらめき渡るように戻って来るからです。 28 死体がある所には、はげたかが集まるものです。 29 これらの迫害が続いたすぐあとで、太陽は暗くなり、月は光を失い、星は天から落ち、天体に異変が起こります。
30 その時、わたしが来るという前兆が天に現れるのです。地上のあらゆる国の人々は深い悲しみに包まれ、わたしが力と輝く栄光を帯びて、雲に乗って来るのを見ます。 31 ラッパが高らかに鳴り響く中で、わたしは天使たちを遣わします。天使たちは、天と地の果てから果てまで行き巡り、選ばれた者たちを集めるのです。
32 さあ、いちじくの木から教訓を学びなさい。いちじくの葉が出てくれば、夏は間近です。 33 同じように、このようなことが起こり始めたら、わたしはもう戸口まで来ているのです。 34 それらのことが全部起こってから、この時代は終わりになるのです。
35 天地は消え去りますが、わたしのことばは永遠に残ります。 36 しかし、その日、その時がいつであるかは、だれも知りません。天使ばかりか、神の子さえも知らないのです。ただ父だけがご存じです。
37-38 ちょうど、ノアの時代のように。当時の人々は洪水が襲う直前まで、宴会だ、結婚式だと陽気に楽しんでいました。 39 何もかも押し流されてしまうまで、洪水のことなど信じようとしなかったのです。わたしが来る時も、それと同じです。
40 その時、二人の人が畑で仕事をしていると、一人は天に上げられ、一人はあとに残されます。 41 家事をしている二人の女のうち、一人は天に上げられ、一人はその場に残されます。
42 主はいつ来られるかわからないのだから、いつ来られてもいいように準備をしていなさい。
43 寝ずの番をしていれば、どろぼうに入られることもありません。 44 同じように、日ごろの備えが万全であれば、わたしが何の前ぶれもなくやって来ても、少しも困ることはないはずです。
45-46 主人の賢い忠実な管理人とはだれでしょう。召使たちの食事の世話をし、家の中を管理する仕事をする人です。主人が帰って来た時、その仕事を忠実にやっているところを見られる人は幸いです。 47 主人はそのような忠実な人たちに、全財産を管理させます。
48 しかしもし、あなたがたが悪い召使で、『主人はまだ当分、帰って来ないだろう』と高をくくり、 49 仲間をいじめたり、宴会を開いて酒を飲んだりし始めたらどうでしょう。 50 主は何の前ぶれもなく、思いがけない時に帰って来て、この有様を見、 51 あなたがたを激しくむち打ち、偽善者たちと同じ目に会わせるでしょう。あなたがたは泣いて歯ぎしりするのです。
