论婚姻
19 当耶稣讲完了这些话，就离开加利利，来到约旦河对岸的犹太地区。 2 有一大群人跟随他，他就在那里使他们痊愈。 3 有些法利赛人前来试探耶稣，说：“无论出于什么缘故，人是否可以休妻呢？”
4 耶稣回答说：“你们难道没有读过吗？造物主从起初就把人造成男的和女的。[a] 5 并且说：
‘为这缘故，人将离开父母，
与妻子结合，
两个人就成为一体。’[b]
6 这样，夫妻不再是两个人，而是一体了。因此，神所配合的，人不可分开。”
7 他们问耶稣：“那么，为什么摩西吩咐说，给一份休书，就可以休妻呢？”
8 耶稣对他们说：“摩西因着你们的心里刚硬，才准许你们休妻，但并不是从起初就这样的。 9 我告诉你们：如果有人不是由于淫乱的缘故而休妻，另娶别人，就是犯通奸罪。[c]”
10 他的门徒们对耶稣说：“如果丈夫与妻子的关系是这样，结婚就没有益处了。”
11 耶稣就对他们说：“这话不是所有人都能接受的，只有谁被赐予了，谁才能接受： 12 就是说，有些独身者[d]是生来[e]如此的；有些独身者是别人使他们成为独身的[f]；还有些独身者是为了天国的缘故自己成为独身的。谁能接受，就接受吧。”
祝福小孩子
13 那时，有一些小孩子被带到耶稣那里，好让耶稣按手在他们身上，给他们祷告。门徒们却责备那些人。 14 耶稣就说：“让小孩子到我这里来，不要阻止他们，因为天国正属于这样的人。” 15 于是，耶稣按手在他们身上，然后离开那地方。
富有的青年官员
16 看哪，有一个人上前来对耶稣说：“老师[g]，我该做什么良善的事，才能得到永恒的生命呢？”
17 耶稣对他说：“你为什么问我有关良善的事呢？只有一位是良善的[h]。如果你想进入永生[i]，就应该遵守诫命。” 18 那个人就问：“哪些诫命呢？”
耶稣回答说：
“不可杀人、
不可通奸、
不可偷窃、
不可做伪证、
19 要孝敬父母、
要爱邻如己。”[j]
20 那年轻人对耶稣说：“这一切[k]我都遵守了，我还缺少什么呢？”
21 耶稣对他说：“如果你想要成为完全的，就当去卖掉你所拥有的，分给穷人，这样你将有财宝在天上；然后你来跟从我。”
22 那年轻人听了这话，就忧忧愁愁地走开了，因为他有很多财产。
财富与天国
23 耶稣对他的门徒们说：“我确实地告诉你们：富有的人进入天国会很困难。 24 我再告诉你们：骆驼穿过针眼，比富有的人进入神的国更容易呢！”
25 门徒们听了这话，极其惊讶，就说：“究竟谁能得救呢？”
26 耶稣注视着他们，说：“在人，这是不可能的；但是在神，凡事都可能。”
27 这时候，彼得对耶稣说：“看，我们舍弃一切跟从了你，我们将来究竟会怎么样呢？”
28 耶稣对他们说：“我确实地告诉你们：在新的世界里，当人子坐在他荣耀宝座上的时候，你们这些跟从我的人也要坐在十二个宝座上，审判以色列的十二个支派。 29 凡是为我名的缘故而舍弃房屋，或兄弟，或姐妹，或父亲，或母亲，[l]或儿女，或田产的人，都将得到百倍，并且继承永恒的生命。 30 不过许多在前的，将要在后；许多在后的，将要在前。

19 Quando Gesù ebbe finito di parlare, lasciò la Galilea e ritornò in Giudea oltre il fiume Giordano. 2 Unʼenorme folla lo seguiva, ed egli guariva tutti i malati.
Una trappola per Gesù
3 Alcuni Farisei vennero ad interrogarlo, cercando dʼingannarlo e fargli dire qualcosa che avrebbe potuto comprometterlo.
«Tu permetti il divorzio?» gli chiesero.
4 «Non leggete le Scritture?» rispose Gesù. «Cʼè scritto che fin dal principio Dio creò lʼuomo e la donna, 5-6 e che lʼuomo avrebbe dovuto lasciar padre e madre per essere per sempre unito a sua moglie. E così lʼuomo e la donna diventeranno una cosa sola, non più due, ma un unico essere. Perciò nessun uomo può separare ciò che Dio ha unito». 7 Gli altri insistettero: «Allora come mai Mosè disse che un uomo può divorziare da sua moglie, consegnandole semplicemente un atto di ripudio?»
8 Gesù rispose: «Perché Mosè conosceva i vostri cuori duri e malvagi; ma non era così che Dio aveva inteso da principio. 9 E vi dico questo: chiunque divorzia da sua moglie, salvo che per relazioni sessuali illecite, e ne sposa unʼaltra, commette adulterio».
10 Allora i discepoli di Gesù commentarono: «Se le cose stanno così, è meglio non sposarsi!» Gesù rispose:
11 «Non tutti possono accettare una condizione del genere. Soltanto quelli aiutati da Dio. 12 Alcuni sono impotenti dalla nascita e quindi non possono sposarsi, altri sono diventati impotenti, perché gli uomini li hanno ridotti così; altri ancora, invece, rinunciano al matrimonio per amore del Regno dei Cieli. Chi è capace di farlo, lo faccia!»
13 Furono portati a Gesù dei bambini piccoli, perché ponesse le mani su di loro e pregasse. Ma i discepoli sgridavano quelli che li portavano.
14 Gesù invece disse: «Lasciate che i bimbi vengano a me, non impediteglielo! Perché di costoro è il Regno dei Cieli». 15 E, prima di andarsene, pose le mani sulle loro testoline e li benedì.
Il ricco rinuncia
16 Un tale venne da Gesù e gli chiese: «Signore, che cosa devo fare di buono per avere la vita eterna?» Ma Gesù gli disse: 17 «Parli di bontà? Ce nʼè uno solo, sai, che è veramente buono: Dio. Ma, per rispondere alla tua domanda, ti dico che entrerai nella vita se obbedirai ai comandamenti».
18 «Quali?» chiese lʼuomo.
E Gesù rispose:
«Non uccidere,
non commettere adulterio,
non rubare,
non dire il falso contro nessuno,
19 onora tuo padre e tua madre,
e ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso!»
20 «Li ho sempre rispettati tutti questi comandamenti», replicò il giovane. «Che cosa devo fare ancora?»
21 Gesù gli rispose: «Se vuoi essere perfetto, vai a vendere tutto ciò che possiedi e dai il denaro ai poveri; ne riceverai un tesoro in cielo. Poi vieni e seguimi».
22 Ma quando il giovane udì queste parole, se ne andò via tristemente, perché era molto ricco.
23 Allora Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «È quasi impossibile per un ricco entrare nel Regno dei Cieli.
24 Anzi, vi assicuro che è più facile per un cammello passare per la cruna di un ago, che per un ricco entrare nel Regno dei Cieli!»
25 Queste parole confusero i discepoli. «Allora chi mai può essere salvato?» gli chiesero.
26 Gesù li guardò fisso, poi disse: «Umanamente parlando, nessuno. Ma per Dio, ogni cosa è possibile».
27 Allora Pietro gli chiese: «E noi? Che cosa guadagneremo noi, che abbiamo lasciato tutto per seguirti?»
28 Gesù rispose: «Quando io, il Figlio dellʼUomo, siederò sul mio trono glorioso nel Regno, voi miei discepoli siederete su dodici troni per giudicare le dodici tribù dʼIsraele. 29 E chiunque rinuncia alla sua casa, o ai fratelli, o alle sorelle, o al padre, o alla madre, o alla moglie, o ai figli o alle proprietà per seguirmi, ne riceverà cento volte di più ed avrà la vita eterna. 30 Ma molti che sono i primi ora, saranno gli ultimi poi; ed alcuni che sono gli ultimi ora, saranno i primi poi».

19 耶穌說完這番話，就離開加利利來到約旦河對岸的猶太地區。 2 有一大群人跟著祂，祂就在那裡醫好了他們的病。
3 有幾個法利賽人到耶穌那裡想試探祂，便問祂：「丈夫可以用任何理由休妻嗎？」
4 耶穌回答說：「你們沒有讀過嗎？太初，造物主造了男人和女人，並且說， 5 『因此，人要離開父母，與妻子結合，二人成為一體。』 6 這樣，夫妻不再是兩個人，而是一體了。因此，上帝配合的，人不可分開。」
7 他們追問：「那麼，為什麼摩西說，只要給妻子休書，就可以休她呢？」
8 耶穌說：「因為摩西知道你們鐵石心腸，所以才准你們休妻。但起初並不是這樣。 9 我告訴你們，除非是妻子不貞，否則，任何人休妻另娶，就是犯通姦罪[a]。」
10 門徒對耶穌說：「如果夫妻關係是這樣，還不如不結婚。」
11 耶穌說：「這話不是每個人都能接受的，只有那些得到這種恩賜的人才能接受。 12 人不結婚的原因很多，有些是因為先天的缺陷，有些是被人閹了，也有些是為了天國而自己放棄結婚的權利。誰能接受，就讓他接受吧。」
耶穌為小孩子祝福
13 有人帶著小孩子來見耶穌，請求耶穌為他們按手禱告，卻受到門徒的責備。
14 耶穌說：「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要阻止他們，因為天國屬於這樣的人。」 15 於是祂為他們按手禱告，然後才離開那裡。
有錢的青年
16 有一個人來請教耶穌：「老師，我該做什麼善事才能獲得永生呢？」
17 耶穌說：「你為什麼問我做什麼善事？只有上帝是善的，你要得永生，就必須遵守祂的誡命。」
18 那人問：「什麼誡命呢？」
耶穌答道：「不可殺人，不可通姦，不可偷盜，不可作偽證， 19 要孝敬父母，並且愛鄰如己。」
20 那青年說：「這些我早已遵守了，還缺什麼呢？」
21 耶穌告訴他：「如果你想做到純全，就去變賣所有的產業，送給窮人，你就必有財寶存在天上，然後你來跟從我。」 22 那青年聽後，便憂傷地走了，因為他有許多產業。
23 事後，耶穌對門徒說：「我實在告訴你們，有錢人進天國很困難。 24 我再告訴你們，駱駝穿過針眼比有錢人進上帝的國還容易呢！」
25 門徒聽了，驚奇地問：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」
26 耶穌看著他們說：「對人而言，這不可能；但對上帝而言，凡事都可能。」

Jesus Teaches About Divorce(A)
19 After Jesus ·said all these things [L finished these words; see 7:28], he left Galilee and went into the ·area [region] of Judea ·on the other side of [beyond] the Jordan River. 2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Some Pharisees came to Jesus ·and tried to trick [to trap/test] him. They asked, “Is it ·right [lawful; C according to the law of Moses] for a man to divorce his wife for any reason he chooses?”
4 Jesus answered, “·Surely you have [L Haven’t you…?] read in the Scriptures: ·When God made the world, ‘he [L From the beginning, the Creator] made them male and female’ [Gen. 1:27; 5:2]. 5 And God said, ‘So a man will leave his father and mother and be ·united with [joined to] his wife, and the two will become ·one body [as though they were one person; T one flesh; Gen. 2:24].’ 6 So they are no longer two, but one. God has joined the two together, so no one should separate them.”
7 The Pharisees asked, “Why then did Moses give a command for a man to divorce his wife by giving her ·divorce papers [a certificate of divorce/dismissal; Deut. 24:1]?”
8 Jesus answered, “Moses ·allowed [permitted] you to divorce your wives because ·you refused to accept God’s teaching [L of your hard-heartedness], but ·divorce was not allowed in the beginning [or this was not God’s intention at creation; L from the beginning it was not like this]. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman ·is guilty of [commits] adultery.[a] ·The only reason for a man to divorce his wife is if his wife has sexual relations with another man [L …except in the case of sexual immorality].”
10 The ·followers [disciples] said to him, “If that is the ·only reason a man can divorce his wife [situation/case between a husband and wife], it is better not to marry.”
11 Jesus answered, “Not everyone can accept this ·teaching [word], but ·God has made some able to accept it [or only those given this gift of celibacy; L only to those whom it has been given]. 12 ·There are different reasons why some men cannot marry [L For…]. Some men were born ·without the ability to become fathers [L as eunuchs]. Others were made ·that way later in life [L eunuchs] by other people [C males would sometimes be castrated as punishment, or to serve in harems]. And some men have ·given up marriage because [L made themselves eunuchs for the sake] of the kingdom of heaven [C through abstinence, not necessarily castration]. ·But the person who can marry should accept this teaching about marriage [or The person who can accept this teaching about not marrying should accept it].”
Jesus Welcomes Children(B)
13 Then the people brought their little children to Jesus so he could ·put [lay] his hands on them [C an act of blessing] and pray for them. [L But] His ·followers [disciples] ·told them to stop [scolded/rebuked them], 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t ·stop [hinder] them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people who are like these children [C meaning humble and dependent].” 15 After Jesus ·put [lay] his hands on the children [C a sign of blessing; Mark 10:16], he left there.
A Rich Young Man’s Question(C)
16 [At that time; L And look/T behold] A man came to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what ·good thing [good deed; L good] must I do to have ·life forever [eternal life]?”
17 Jesus answered, “Why do you ask me about what is good? Only ·God [L one] is good. But if you want to ·have life forever [have eternal life; L enter life], ·obey [keep] the ·commands [commandments].”
18 The man asked, “Which commands?”
Jesus answered, “‘You must not murder anyone; you must not ·be guilty of [commit] adultery; you must not steal; you must not ·tell lies about your neighbor [testify falsely; T bear false witness]; 19 honor your father and mother [Ex. 20:12–16; Deut. 5:16–20]; and love your neighbor as you love yourself [Lev. 19:18].’”
20 The young man said, “I have ·obeyed [kept carefully; guarded] all these things. What ·else do I need to do [L do I still lack]?”
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be ·perfect [complete], then go and sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.”
22 But when the young man heard this, he left ·sorrowfully [grieving], because he ·was rich [had many possessions].
23 Then Jesus said to his ·followers [disciples], “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 ·Yes [L Again], I tell you that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God [C meaning it is impossible, by human effort; see v. 26].”
25 When Jesus’ ·followers [disciples] heard this, they were ·very surprised [astonished] and asked, “Then who can be saved?”
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “·For people [Humanly speaking,] this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
27 Peter said to Jesus, “Look, we have left everything and followed you. So what will we ·have [get]?”
28 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, ·when the age to come has arrived [at the renewal of the world; L in the regeneration], the Son of Man [Dan. 7:13–14] will sit on his ·great [glorious] throne. All of you who followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And all those who have left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother,[b] children, or ·farms [fields] ·to follow me [L for my name’s sake] will ·get much more than they left [L receive a hundred times as much], and they will ·have life forever [L inherit eternal life]. 30 [L But] Many who are first now will be last in the future. And many who are last now will be first in the future.
