8 耶穌說：「因為摩西知道你們鐵石心腸，所以才准你們休妻。但起初並不是這樣。 9 我告訴你們，除非是妻子不貞，否則，任何人休妻另娶，就是犯通姦罪[a]。」
10 門徒對耶穌說：「如果夫妻關係是這樣，還不如不結婚。」

Matthew 19:8-10
English Standard Version
8 He said to them, “Because of your (A)hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 (B)And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”[a]
10 The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
