18 那時，門徒前來問耶穌：“天國裡誰是最大的呢？” 2 耶穌叫了一個小孩子站在他們當中，說： 3 “我實在告訴你們，如果你們不回轉，變成像小孩子一樣，一定不能進天國。 4 所以，凡謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裡是最大的。 5 凡因我的名接待一個這樣的小孩子的，就是接待我； 6 但無論誰使一個信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如拿一塊大磨石拴在他的頸項上，把他沉在深海裡。

7 “這世界有禍了，因為充滿使人犯罪的事。這些事是免不了的，但那使人犯罪的有禍了！ 8 如果你的一隻手或一隻腳使你犯罪，就把它砍下來丟掉；你一隻手或一隻腳進永生，總比有兩隻手或兩隻腳被投進永火裡好。 9 如果你的一隻眼睛使你犯罪，就把它挖出來丟掉；你一隻眼睛進永生，總比有兩隻眼睛被投進地獄的火裡好。

怎樣對待犯了罪的弟兄
15 “如果你的弟兄犯了罪（“犯了罪”有些抄本作“得罪你”），你趁著和他單獨在一起的時候，要去指出他的過失來。如果他肯聽，你就得著你的弟兄。 16 如果他不肯聽，就另外帶一兩個人同去，好使一切話，憑兩三個證人的口，可以確定。 17 如果他再不聽，就告訴教會；如果連教會他也不聽，就把他看作教外人和稅吏吧。
18 “我實在告訴你們，你們在地上捆綁的，在天上也被捆綁；你們在地上釋放的，在天上也被釋放。 19 我又告訴你們，你們當中若有兩個人，在地上同心為甚麼事祈求，我在天上的父必為他們成全。 20 因為無論在哪裡，有兩三個人奉我的名聚會，我就在他們中間。”
不饒恕人的也得不著饒恕

El mayor en el reino de los cielos
18 (A)En aquel momento[a] se acercaron los discípulos a Jesús, diciendo: «¿Quién es el mayor en el reino de los cielos?». 2 Él, llamando a un niño, lo puso en medio de ellos, 3 y dijo: «En verdad les digo que si no se convierten[b]y se hacen como niños(B), no entrarán en el reino de los cielos. 4 Así pues, cualquiera que se humille como este niño, ese es el mayor en el reino de los cielos. 5 Y el que reciba a un niño como este[c]en Mi nombre, me recibe a Mí.
6 »Pero al que(C) haga pecar[d] a uno de estos pequeñitos que creen en Mí(D) , mejor le sería que le colgaran al cuello una piedra de molino de las que mueve un asno, y que se ahogara en lo profundo del mar.
¡Ay de los que son piedras de tropiezo!
7 »¡Ay del mundo por sus piedras de tropiezo! Porque es inevitable que vengan piedras de tropiezo(E) ; pero ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien viene el tropiezo!
8 »Si tu mano o tu pie te hace pecar, córtalo y tíralo. Es mejor que entres en la vida manco o cojo, que teniendo dos manos y dos pies, ser echado en el fuego eterno(F) . 9 Y si tu ojo te hace pecar, arráncalo y tíralo. Es mejor que entres en la vida con un solo ojo, que teniendo dos ojos, ser echado en el infierno[e]de fuego(G).
10 »Miren que no desprecien a uno de estos pequeñitos, porque les digo que sus ángeles en los cielos contemplan siempre el rostro de Mi Padre(H) que está en los cielos. 11 [f]Porque el Hijo del Hombre ha venido a salvar lo que se había perdido(I).
Parábola de la oveja perdida
12 »¿Qué les parece? (J) Si un hombre tiene cien ovejas y una de ellas se ha descarriado, ¿no deja las noventa y nueve en los montes, y va en busca de la descarriada? 13 Y si sucede que la halla, en verdad les digo que se regocija más por esta que por las noventa y nueve que no se han descarriado. 14 Así, no es la voluntad del[g]Padre[h]que está en los cielos que se pierda uno de estos pequeñitos.
Sobre la exhortación y la oración
15 »Si tu hermano peca[i](K) , ve y repréndelo a solas[j] ; si te escucha, has ganado a tu hermano. 16 Pero si no te escucha, lleva contigo a uno o a dos más, para que toda palabra sea confirmada por boca de dos o tres testigos(L). 17 Y si rehúsa escucharlos, dilo a la iglesia(M); y si también rehúsa escuchar a la iglesia, sea para ti como el gentil(N)y el recaudador de impuestos[k]. 18 En verdad les digo, que todo lo que ustedes aten[l]en la tierra, será[m]atado en el cielo; y todo lo que desaten[n]en la tierra, será[o]desatado en el cielo(O).
19 »Además les digo, que si dos de ustedes se ponen de acuerdo sobre cualquier cosa que pidan aquí en la tierra, les será hecho por[p] Mi Padre(P) que está en los cielos. 20 Porque donde están dos o tres reunidos en Mi nombre, allí estoy Yo en medio de ellos(Q)».
Importancia del perdón
21 Entonces acercándose Pedro, preguntó a Jesús: «Señor, ¿cuántas veces pecará mi hermano contra mí(R) que yo haya de perdonarlo? ¿Hasta siete veces(S)?». 22 Jesús le contestó*: «No te digo hasta siete veces, sino hasta setenta veces siete(T).
Parábola de los dos deudores
23 »Por eso, el reino de los cielos(U) puede compararse[q] a cierto[r] rey que quiso ajustar cuentas con sus siervos(V) . 24 Al comenzar a ajustarlas, le fue presentado uno que le debía 10,000 talentos (216 toneladas de plata). 25 Pero no teniendo él con qué pagar(W), su señor ordenó que lo vendieran(X), junto con su mujer e hijos y todo cuanto poseía, y así pagara la deuda. 26 Entonces el siervo cayó postrado ante él(Y), diciendo: “Tenga paciencia conmigo y todo se lo pagaré”. 27 Y el señor de aquel siervo tuvo compasión, lo soltó y le perdonó la deuda(Z).
28 »Pero al salir aquel siervo, encontró a uno de sus consiervos que le debía 100 denarios[s] , y echándole mano, lo ahogaba, diciendo: “Paga lo que debes”. 29 Entonces su consiervo, cayendo a sus pies, le suplicaba: “Ten paciencia conmigo y te pagaré”. 30 Sin embargo, él no quiso, sino que fue y lo echó en la cárcel hasta que pagara lo que debía.
31 »Así que cuando sus consiervos vieron lo que había pasado, se entristecieron mucho, y fueron y contaron a su señor todo lo que había sucedido. 32 Entonces, llamando al siervo, su señor le dijo*: “Siervo malvado, te perdoné toda aquella deuda porque me suplicaste. 33 ¿No deberías tú también haberte compadecido de tu consiervo, así como yo me compadecí de ti(AA)?”. 34 Y enfurecido su señor, lo entregó a los verdugos hasta que pagara todo lo que le debía. 35 Así también Mi Padre celestial hará con ustedes(AB), si no perdonan de corazón[t]cada uno a su hermano».

True Greatness(A)
18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom from[a] heaven?”
2 Calling a little child forward, he had him stand among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell all of you[b] with certainty, unless you change[c] and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom from[d] heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom from[e] heaven, 5 and whoever receives a little child like this in my name receives me.”
Causing Others to Sin(B)
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a large millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned at the bottom of the sea. 7 How terrible it will be for the world due to its temptations to sin! Temptations to sin are bound to happen, but how terrible it will be for that person who causes someone to sin!
8 “So if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life injured or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell[f] fire.
10 “See to it that you do not despise one of these little ones, because I tell you, their angels in heaven always have access to my Father in heaven. 11 For the Son of Man came to save the lost.”[g]
The Parable about the Faithful Shepherd(C)
12 “What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep and one of them strays, he leaves the 99 in the hills and goes to look for the one that has strayed, doesn’t he? 13 If he finds it, I tell all of you[h] with certainty that he rejoices over it more than over the 99 that haven’t strayed. 14 In the same way, it is not the will of your[i] Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.”
Dealing with a Brother who Sins(D)
15 “If your brother sins against you,[j] go and confront him while the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother. 16 But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two others with you so that ‘every word may be confirmed by the testimony[k] of two or three witnesses.’[l] 17 If, however, he ignores them, tell it to the congregation.[m] If he also ignores the congregation,[n] regard him as an unbeliever[o] and a tax collector.
18 “I tell all of you[p] with certainty, whatever you prohibit on earth will have been prohibited[q] in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will have been permitted[r] in heaven. 19 Furthermore, I tell all of you[s] with certainty that if two of you agree on earth about anything you request, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven, 20 because where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.”
The Parable about an Unforgiving Servant
21 Then Peter came up and asked him, “Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I have to forgive him? Seven times?”
22 Jesus told him, “I tell you, not just seven times, but 77 times![t] 23 “That is why the kingdom from[u] heaven may be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 When he had begun to settle the accounts, a person who owed him 10,000 talents[v] was brought to him. 25 Because he couldn’t pay, his master ordered him, his wife, his children, and everything that he owned to be sold so that payment could be made. 26 Then the servant fell down and bowed low before him, saying, ‘Be patient[w] with me, and I will repay you everything!’ 27 The master of that servant had compassion and released him, canceling his debt.
28 “But when that servant went away, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.[x] He grabbed him, seized him by the throat, and said, ‘Pay what you owe!’ 29 Then his fellow servant fell down and began begging him, ‘Be patient with me and I will repay you!’ 30 But he refused and had him thrown into prison until he could repay the debt.
31 “When his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were very disturbed and went and reported to their master everything that had occurred. 32 Then his master sent for him and told him, ‘You evil servant! I canceled that entire debt for you because you begged me. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers until he could repay the entire debt. 35 This is how my heavenly Father will treat each one of you unless you forgive your brother from your hearts.”
