撒种的比喻
13 当天，耶稣离开房子，坐在湖边。 2 有一大群人聚集到祂周围，祂只好上船坐下，众人都站在岸上。 3 祂用比喻给他们讲许多道理，说：“有一个农夫出去撒种。 4 撒种的时候，有些种子落在路旁，被飞鸟吃掉了； 5 有些落在石头地上，因为泥土不深，种子很快就发芽了，然而因为没有根， 6 被太阳一晒，就枯萎了； 7 有些落在荆棘丛中，荆棘长起来便把嫩苗挤住了； 8 有些落在沃土里，就结出果实，收成多达三十倍、六十倍、一百倍。 9 有耳朵的，都应当听。”
用比喻的目的
10 门徒上前问耶稣：“你为什么要用比喻来教导他们呢？”
11 耶稣回答说：“天国的奥秘只让你们知道，不让他们知道。 12 因为凡有的，还要给他更多，他就丰富有余；凡没有的，连他仅有的也要夺去。 13 我用比喻教导他们是因为他们视而不见，听而不闻，闻而不悟。 14 以赛亚的预言正应验在他们身上，
“‘你们听了又听，却不明白；
看了又看，却不领悟。
15 因为这些人心灵麻木，
耳朵发背，眼睛昏花，
以致眼睛看不见，耳朵听不见，
心里不明白，无法回心转意，
得不到我的医治。’
16 “但你们的眼睛是有福的，因为看得见；你们的耳朵也是有福的，因为听得见。 17 我实在告诉你们，以前有许多先知和义人曾渴望看见你们所看见的，听见你们所听见的，却未能如愿。
解释比喻
18 “所以，你们应当留心这撒种的比喻。 19 种子落在路旁，是指人听了天国的道理却不明白，魔鬼乘虚而入，把撒在他心里的夺走了； 20 种子落在石头地上，是指人听了道后，立刻欢喜地接受了， 21 但因为他心里没有根基，不过是暂时接受，一旦为道遭受患难或迫害，就立刻放弃了信仰； 22 种子落在荆棘丛中，是指人虽然听过道，但生活的忧虑和钱财的迷惑把道挤住了，以致不能结出果实。 23 种子落在沃土里，是指人听了道，并明白了道，就结出果实来，有的多达一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。”
毒麦的比喻
24 耶稣又给他们讲了一个比喻，说：“天国就像一个人，将好种子撒在田里。 25 人们睡觉的时候，仇敌过来把毒麦撒在他的麦田里，就走了。 26 当麦子长苗吐穗时，毒麦也长起来了。 27 奴仆看见了就来问主人，‘主人啊！你不是把好种子撒在田里了吗？从哪里来的毒麦呢？’
28 “主人回答说，‘这是仇敌做的。’奴仆问道，‘要我们去拔掉它们吗？’
29 “主人说，‘不用了，因为拔毒麦会连麦子一起拔掉。 30 让它们跟麦子一起生长吧，到收割的时候，我会吩咐收割的工人先把毒麦收集起来，扎成捆，留着烧，然后将麦子存入谷仓。’”
芥菜种和面酵的比喻
31 耶稣又给他们讲了一个比喻：“天国就像一粒芥菜种，人把它种在田里。 32 它虽然是种子中最小的，却长得比其他蔬菜都大，并且长成一棵树，天空的飞鸟也来栖息。”
33 祂又给他们讲了个比喻：“天国就像面酵，妇人拿来掺在三斗面里，使整盆面都发起来。”
34 耶稣总是用比喻对众人讲这些事，祂每次对他们讲话时都用比喻。 35 这是要应验先知的话：“我要开口讲比喻，道出创世以来隐藏的事。”
解释毒麦的比喻
36 后来，耶稣离开人群，进到屋里。门徒也跟着进去，对耶稣说：“请为我们解释毒麦的比喻。”
37 耶稣说：“那撒下好种子的就是人子， 38 麦田代表整个世界，那些好种子就是天国的子民。毒麦就是那些属于魔鬼的人， 39 撒毒麦的仇敌就是魔鬼。收割的日子便是世界的末日，收割的工人就是天使。
40 “毒麦怎样被拔出来丢在火里烧，同样，在世界末日的时候， 41 人子也将派天使把一切引人犯罪和作孽的人从祂国里挑出来， 42 丢进火里。那时，他们将在那里哀哭切齿。 43 那时，义人要在他们天父的国度像太阳一样发出光辉。有耳朵的，都应当听。
宝藏与珍珠的比喻
44 “天国就像藏在地里的宝贝，有人发现了，就把它埋好，然后欢然变卖他所有的财产去买那块地。
45 “天国就像一个四处搜购贵重珍珠的商人。 46 他找到一颗极贵重的珍珠，就变卖了一切的产业，把它买下来。
撒网的比喻
47 “天国就像一张渔网，撒在海里捕到了各种鱼。 48 网满了，人们把网拉上岸，然后坐下来挑选，好的就收起来，不好的就丢掉。 49 世界末日的时候也是这样。天使必把恶人从义人中拣出来， 50 丢在火炉里，让恶人在那里哀哭切齿。 51 你们明白这些事了吗？”
他们回答说：“我们明白了。”
52 耶稣说：“律法教师成为天国的门徒后，就像一个家的主人，能从他的库房里拿出新的和旧的东西来。”
拿撒勒人厌弃耶稣
53 耶稣讲完了这些比喻，就离开那里， 54 回到自己的家乡拿撒勒，在会堂里教导人。人们很惊奇，说：“这个人从哪里得到如此的智慧和神奇的能力呢？ 55 这不是那木匠的儿子吗？祂母亲不是玛丽亚吗？祂的弟弟不是雅各、约瑟、西门和犹大吗？ 56 祂的妹妹们不也是住在我们这里吗？祂究竟从哪里得来这一身本领呢？” 57 他们就对祂很反感。

13 The same day, Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside.
2 And great multitudes gathered to Him, so that He went into a ship and sat down. And the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 “And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside. And the birds came and devoured them.
5 “And some fell upon stony ground, where they did not have much earth. And soon they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth.
6 “But when the Sun came up, they were burnt up; and for lack of rooting, withered away.
7 “And some fell among thorns. And the thorns sprang up and choked them.
8 But some fell in good ground, and brought forth fruit; one corn a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and another thirtyfold.
9 “The one who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10 Then the disciples came, and said to Him, “Why did You speak to them in parables?”
11 And He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. But to them it is not given.
12 “For whoever has, to him shall be given. And he shall have abundance. But whoever does not have, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.
13 “Therefore, I speak to them in parables. Because they, seeing, do not see. And hearing, they do not hear, nor understand.
14 “So in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled which says, ‘By hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing, you shall see and shall not perceive.
15 “‘For this people’s heart has grown fat and their ears barely hear and they have closed their eyes, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their hearts and should return, that I might heal them.’
16 “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
17 “For truly I say to you that many Prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear and have not heard them.
18 “Therefore, hear the parable of the Sower.
19 “Whenever anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away that which was sown in his heart. And this is the one who has received the seed by the wayside.
20 “And the one who received seed in the stony ground, is he who hears the Word, and immediately, with joy, receives it,
21 “but he has no root in himself and endures but a season. For as soon as trouble or persecution comes because of the Word, he quickly stumbles.
22 “And the one who receives the seed among thorns, is he who hears the Word, but the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word. And it is made unfruitful.
23 “But the one who receives the seed in the good ground, is he who hears the Word and understands it, who also bears fruit and brings forth; some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.”
24 He put forth another parable to them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25 “But while the man slept, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went his way.
26 “And when the blade had sprung up and brought forth fruit, the weeds also appeared.
27 “Then the servants of the landowner came, and said to him, ‘Master, did not you sow good seed in your field? From where have these weeds come?’
28 “And he said to them, ‘Some envious man has done this.’ Then the servants said to him, ‘Do you wish us to go and gather them up?’
29 “But he said, ‘No, lest while you are gathering the weeds you also pluck up the wheat with them.
30 “‘Let both grow together until the harvest. And at harvest time I will say to the reapers, “First, gather the weeds, and bind them in sheaves to burn them. But gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
31 He put forth another parable to them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man takes and sows in his field,
32 “which indeed is the least of all seeds. But when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs. And it becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and build in its branches.”
33 He spoke another parable to them, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till all was leavened.”
34 Jesus spoke all these things to the multitude in parables. And He did not speak to them without parables.
35 So that which was spoken by the Prophet might be fulfilled, which says, “I will open my mouth in parables, and will utter the things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.”
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of that field.”
37 Then He answered, and said to them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 “And the field is the world. And the good seed are the children of the Kingdom. And the weeds are the children of the evil one.
39 “And the enemy who sows them is the devil. And the harvest is the end of the world. And the reapers are the angels.
40 “Just as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of this world.
41 “The Son of Man shall send forth His angels. And they shall gather all stumbling blocks out of His Kingdom, and those who do iniquity,
42 “and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 “Then shall the just shine as the Sun in the Kingdom of their Father. The one who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure, hidden in the field. Which, when a man has found, he hides it. And for joy thereof, departs and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant man who seeks good pearls,
46 “Who, having found a pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
47 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a draw net, cast into the sea, which gathers of all kinds of things;
48 “which, when it is full, they draw to land, and sit and gather the good into vessels, and cast away the bad.
49 “So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go forth, and separate the bad from among the just;
50 “and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
51 Jesus said to them, “Do you understand all these things?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
52 Then He said to them, “Therefore, every scribe who is taught about the Kingdom of Heaven is like a landowner who brings forth, out of his treasure, things both new and old.”
53 And it happened that when Jesus had ended these parables, He departed from there,
54 and came into His own country, and taught them in their synagogue (so that they were astonished, and said, “From where does this wisdom and these great works come to this man?”
55 “Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 “And are not his sisters all with us? From where, then, did he get all these things?”).
57 And they were offended by Him. Then Jesus said to them, “A Prophet is not without honor, except in His own country and in His own house.”
58 And He did not do many great works there, because of their unbelief.

Parábola del sembrador

13 Aquel día salió Jesús de la casa y se sentó junto al mar. 2 Y se le juntó mucha gente; y entrando él en la barca, se sentó,(A) y toda la gente estaba en la playa. 3 Y les habló muchas cosas por parábolas, diciendo: He aquí, el sembrador salió a sembrar. 4 Y mientras sembraba, parte de la semilla cayó junto al camino; y vinieron las aves y la comieron. 5 Parte cayó en pedregales, donde no había mucha tierra; y brotó pronto, porque no tenía profundidad de tierra; 6 pero salido el sol, se quemó; y porque no tenía raíz, se secó. 7 Y parte cayó entre espinos; y los espinos crecieron, y la ahogaron. 8 Pero parte cayó en buena tierra, y dio fruto, cuál a ciento, cuál a sesenta, y cuál a treinta por uno. 9 El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
Propósito de las parábolas

Jesús explica la parábola del sembrador

18 Oíd, pues, vosotros la parábola del sembrador: 19 Cuando alguno oye la palabra del reino y no la entiende, viene el malo, y arrebata lo que fue sembrado en su corazón. Este es el que fue sembrado junto al camino. 20 Y el que fue sembrado en pedregales, este es el que oye la palabra, y al momento la recibe con gozo; 21 pero no tiene raíz en sí, sino que es de corta duración, pues al venir la aflicción o la persecución por causa de la palabra, luego tropieza. 22 El que fue sembrado entre espinos, este es el que oye la palabra, pero el afán de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas ahogan la palabra, y se hace infructuosa. 23 Mas el que fue sembrado en buena tierra, este es el que oye y entiende la palabra, y da fruto; y produce a ciento, a sesenta, y a treinta por uno.
Parábola del trigo y la cizaña
24 Les refirió otra parábola, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante a un hombre que sembró buena semilla en su campo; 25 pero mientras dormían los hombres, vino su enemigo y sembró cizaña entre el trigo, y se fue. 26 Y cuando salió la hierba y dio fruto, entonces apareció también la cizaña. 27 Vinieron entonces los siervos del padre de familia y le dijeron: Señor, ¿no sembraste buena semilla en tu campo? ¿De dónde, pues, tiene cizaña? 28 Él les dijo: Un enemigo ha hecho esto. Y los siervos le dijeron: ¿Quieres, pues, que vayamos y la arranquemos? 29 Él les dijo: No, no sea que al arrancar la cizaña, arranquéis también con ella el trigo. 30 Dejad crecer juntamente lo uno y lo otro hasta la siega; y al tiempo de la siega yo diré a los segadores: Recoged primero la cizaña, y atadla en manojos para quemarla; pero recoged el trigo en mi granero.
Parábola de la semilla de mostaza
(Mr. 4.30-32; Lc. 13.18-19)
31 Otra parábola les refirió, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante al grano de mostaza, que un hombre tomó y sembró en su campo; 32 el cual a la verdad es la más pequeña de todas las semillas; pero cuando ha crecido, es la mayor de las hortalizas, y se hace árbol, de tal manera que vienen las aves del cielo y hacen nidos en sus ramas.
Parábola de la levadura

33 Otra parábola les dijo: El reino de los cielos es semejante a la levadura que tomó una mujer, y escondió en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo fue leudado.
El uso que Jesús hace de las parábolas

34 Todo esto habló Jesús por parábolas a la gente, y sin parábolas no les hablaba; 35 para que se cumpliese lo dicho por el profeta, cuando dijo:

Jesús explica la parábola de la cizaña
36 Entonces, despedida la gente, entró Jesús en la casa; y acercándose a él sus discípulos, le dijeron: Explícanos la parábola de la cizaña del campo. 37 Respondiendo él, les dijo: El que siembra la buena semilla es el Hijo del Hombre. 38 El campo es el mundo; la buena semilla son los hijos del reino, y la cizaña son los hijos del malo. 39 El enemigo que la sembró es el diablo; la siega es el fin del siglo; y los segadores son los ángeles. 40 De manera que como se arranca la cizaña, y se quema en el fuego, así será en el fin de este siglo. 41 Enviará el Hijo del Hombre a sus ángeles, y recogerán de su reino a todos los que sirven de tropiezo, y a los que hacen iniquidad, 42 y los echarán en el horno de fuego; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes. 43 Entonces los justos resplandecerán como el sol en el reino de su Padre. El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
El tesoro escondido
44 Además, el reino de los cielos es semejante a un tesoro escondido en un campo, el cual un hombre halla, y lo esconde de nuevo; y gozoso por ello va y vende todo lo que tiene, y compra aquel campo.
La perla de gran precio
45 También el reino de los cielos es semejante a un mercader que busca buenas perlas, 46 que habiendo hallado una perla preciosa, fue y vendió todo lo que tenía, y la compró.
La red
47 Asimismo el reino de los cielos es semejante a una red, que echada en el mar, recoge de toda clase de peces; 48 y una vez llena, la sacan a la orilla; y sentados, recogen lo bueno en cestas, y lo malo echan fuera. 49 Así será al fin del siglo: saldrán los ángeles, y apartarán a los malos de entre los justos, 50 y los echarán en el horno de fuego; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.
Tesoros nuevos y viejos
51 Jesús les dijo: ¿Habéis entendido todas estas cosas? Ellos respondieron: Sí, Señor. 52 Él les dijo: Por eso todo escriba docto en el reino de los cielos es semejante a un padre de familia, que saca de su tesoro cosas nuevas y cosas viejas.
Jesús en Nazaret

53 Aconteció que cuando terminó Jesús estas parábolas, se fue de allí. 54 Y venido a su tierra, les enseñaba en la sinagoga de ellos, de tal manera que se maravillaban, y decían: ¿De dónde tiene este esta sabiduría y estos milagros? 55 ¿No es este el hijo del carpintero? ¿No se llama su madre María, y sus hermanos, Jacobo, José, Simón y Judas? 56 ¿No están todas sus hermanas con nosotros? ¿De dónde, pues, tiene este todas estas cosas? 57 Y se escandalizaban de él. 13 That same day Jesus went out of the house(D) and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat(E) and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred,(F) sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”(G)
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven(H) has been given to you,(I) but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.(J) 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.(K)
14 In them is fulfilled(L) the prophecy of Isaiah:
“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’[a](M)
16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.(N) 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see(O) but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom(P) and does not understand it, the evil one(Q) comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.(R) 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth(S) choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”(T)
The Parable of the Weeds
24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like(U) a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”(V)
The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast(W)(X)
31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like(Y) a mustard seed,(Z) which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”(AA)
33 He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like(AB) yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds[b] of flour(AC) until it worked all through the dough.”(AD)
34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.(AE) 35 So was fulfilled(AF) what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”[c](AG)
The Parable of the Weeds Explained
36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable(AH) of the weeds in the field.”
37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.(AI) 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,(AJ) 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest(AK) is the end of the age,(AL) and the harvesters are angels.(AM)
40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man(AN) will send out his angels,(AO) and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(AP) 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun(AQ) in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.(AR)
The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like(AS) treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.(AT)
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like(AU) a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
The Parable of the Net
47 “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like(AV) a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds(AW) of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous(AX) 50 and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(AY)
51 “Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked.
“Yes,” they replied.
52 He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
A Prophet Without Honor(AZ)
53 When Jesus had finished these parables,(BA) he moved on from there. 54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue,(BB) and they were amazed.(BC) “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. 55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?(BD) Isn’t his mother’s(BE) name Mary, and aren’t his brothers(BF) James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense(BG) at him.
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”(BH)
58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
