20 压伤的芦苇,祂不折断;
将残的灯火,祂不吹灭;
祂终必使正义得胜。
21 普世都要仰望祂的圣名。”

22 有人带一个被鬼附身、又瞎又哑的人来见耶稣,耶稣便医好他,使他能说能看。 23 众人都很惊奇,就说:“这人会不会是大卫的那个后裔?” 24 法利赛人听见后却说:“祂不过是靠鬼王别西卜赶鬼罢了。”

25 耶稣知道他们的心思,就说:“一个国内部自相纷争,必然灭亡;一座城、一个家内部自相纷争,必然崩溃。 26 若撒旦驱逐撒旦,就是自相纷争,它的国怎能维持呢? 27 若我是靠别西卜赶鬼,你们的子弟又是靠谁赶鬼呢?为此,他们要审判你们。

    and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out,
till he has brought justice through to victory.

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.(C) 23 All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”(D)

24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul,(E) the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”(F)

25 Jesus knew their thoughts(G) and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan(H) drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul,(I) by whom do your people(J) drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
