1 大衛的子孫，亞伯拉罕的後裔，耶穌基督的家譜：
2 亞伯拉罕生以撒，以撒生雅各，雅各生猶大和他的兄弟， 3 他瑪給猶大生了法勒斯和謝拉，法勒斯生希斯崙，希斯崙生亞蘭， 4 亞蘭生亞米拿達，亞米拿達生拿順，拿順生撒門， 5 喇合給撒門生了波阿斯，路得給波阿斯生了俄備得，俄備得生耶西， 6 耶西生大衛王。
烏利亞的妻子給大衛生了所羅門， 7 所羅門生羅波安，羅波安生亞比雅，亞比雅生亞撒， 8 亞撒生約沙法，約沙法生約蘭，約蘭生烏西雅， 9 烏西雅生約坦，約坦生亞哈斯，亞哈斯生希西家， 10 希西家生瑪拿西，瑪拿西生亞們，亞們生約西亞， 11 猶太人被擄到巴比倫的時候，約西亞生耶哥尼雅和他的兄弟。
12 被擄到巴比倫以後，耶哥尼雅生撒拉鐵，撒拉鐵生所羅巴伯， 13 所羅巴伯生亞比玉，亞比玉生以利亞敬，以利亞敬生亞所， 14 亞所生撒督，撒督生亞金，亞金生以律， 15 以律生以利亞撒，以利亞撒生馬但，馬但生雅各， 16 雅各生約瑟，就是馬利亞的丈夫；那稱為基督的耶穌，是馬利亞所生的。
17 這樣，從亞伯拉罕到大衛，一共是十四代；從大衛到被擄到巴比倫的時候，也是十四代；從被擄到巴比倫的時候到基督，又是十四代。
耶穌基督的降生(B)
18 耶穌基督的降生是這樣的：耶穌的母親馬利亞許配了約瑟，他們還沒有成親，馬利亞就從聖靈懷了孕。 19 她丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願張揚使她受辱，就打算暗中與她解除婚約。 20 他一直想著這些事，主的使者就在夢中向他顯現，說：“大衛的子孫約瑟，只管放膽把你的妻子馬利亞迎娶過來，因為她懷的孕是從聖靈來的。 21 她必生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫耶穌，因為他要把自己的子民從罪惡中拯救出來。” 22 這整件事的發生，是要應驗主藉著先知所說的：
23 “必有童女懷孕生子，
他的名要叫以馬內利。”
以馬內利就是“ 神與我們同在”的意思。 24 約瑟睡醒了，就照著主的使者所吩咐的，把妻子迎娶過來； 25 只是在孩子出生以前，並沒有與她同房。約瑟給孩子起名叫耶穌。

2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
