⁴⁰不反對我們的，就是支持我們的。 ⁴¹我實在告訴你們，若有人因為你們屬於基督而給你們一杯水喝，他也必得到賞賜。

⁴²「但若有人使這樣一個小信徒失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石掛在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

⁴⁰For he that is not against us is on our part.

⁴¹For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

⁴²And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

⁴⁰^(A)For the one who is not against us is ^[a]for us. ⁴¹For ^(B)whoever gives you a cup of water to drink ^[b]because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

⁴²“^(C)Whoever causes one of these ^[c]little ones who believe in Me to ^[d]sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he ^[e]is thrown into the sea.

⁴⁰for whoever is not against us is for us.^(A) ⁴¹Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.^(B)

Causing to Stumble

⁴²“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble,^(C) it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.^(D)
