²⁷但是，耶稣握着他的手，扶他起来，他就站起来了。

²⁸耶稣进了房子，他的门徒们就悄悄地问他：“我们为什么不能赶出那邪灵呢？”

²⁹耶稣对他们说：“对这一类的邪灵，如果不藉着祷告和禁食^[a]，就不能赶出去。”

²⁷But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

²⁸After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately,^(A) “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

²⁹He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.^[a]”

²⁷But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

²⁸And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

²⁹And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
