Mark 8:27-38
New King James Version
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ(A)
27 (B)Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?”
28 So they answered, (C)“John the Baptist; but some say, (D)Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.”
29 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Peter answered and said to Him, (E)“You are the Christ.”
30 (F)Then He strictly warned them that they should tell no one about Him.
Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection(G)
31 And (H)He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be (I)rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be (J)killed, and after three days rise again. 32 He spoke this word openly. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. 33 But when He had turned around and looked at His disciples, He (K)rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not [a]mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Take Up the Cross and Follow Him(L)
34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, (M)“Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For (N)whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 (O)For whoever (P)is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Butros Wuxuu Qiray Inuu Ciise Yahay Masiixa(A)
27 Markaasaa Ciise iyo xertiisii waxay tageen oo galeen tuulooyinka Kaysariya Filibos. Xertiisii ayuu jidka ku weyddiiyey, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Dadku yay igu sheegaan? 28 Waxay yidhaahdeen, Yooxanaa Baabtiisaha, qaarna, Eliyaas, qaar kalena, Nebiyada midkood. 29 Markaasuu weyddiiyey, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Idinkuse yaad igu sheegtaan? Butros ayaa u jawaabay oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Waxaad tahay Masiixa. 30 Markaasuu ku amray inayan ninna isaga u sheegin.
Ciise Wuxuu Sii Sheegay Dhimashadiisa Iyo Sara Kiciddiisa(B)
31 Kolkaasuu bilaabay inuu baro inay waajib ugu tahay Wiilka Aadanahu inuu wax badan ku xanuunsado, oo ay waayeellada iyo wadaaddada sare iyo culimmadu diidaan, oo la dilo, oo saddex maalmood dabadeed uu soo sara kaco. 32 Hadalkaas bayaan buu ugu hadlay. Markaasaa Butros gees u waday oo bilaabay inuu canaanto. 33 Laakiin Ciise markuu soo jeestay oo xertiisii eegay, ayuu Butros canaantay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Gadaal iga mar, Shayddaan yahow, waayo, waxyaalaha Ilaah kama fikirtid, waxaadse ka fikirtaa waxyaalaha dadka.
Waa In Nafta La Diido(C)
34 Goortaasuu dadkii badnaa u yeedhay iyo xertiisiiba oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Mid uun hadduu doonayo inuu iga daba yimaado, ha dayriyo doonistiisa, iskutallaabtiisana ha soo qaato oo ha i soo raaco. 35 Kan doonaya inuu naftiisa badbaadiyo, waa lumin doonaa, laakiin kan naftiisa u lumiya aawaday iyo injiilka aawadii, kaasaa badbaadin doona. 36 Waayo, nin maxay u taraysaa hadduu dunida oo dhan helo oo uu naftiisa lumiyo? 37 Nin muxuu u bixiyaa naftiisa beddelkeeda? 38 Haddaba ku alla kii qarnigan dembiga iyo sinada leh kaga xishooda aniga iyo hadalkaygaba, Wiilka Aadanaha ayaa ka xishoon doona isaga markuu ammaantii Aabbihiis kula yimaado malaa'igaha quduuska ah.

Mark 8:27-38
New International Version
Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah(A)
27 Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
28 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist;(B) others say Elijah;(C) and still others, one of the prophets.”
29 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”(D)
30 Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him.(E)
Jesus Predicts His Death(F)
31 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man(G) must suffer many things(H) and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law,(I) and that he must be killed(J) and after three days(K) rise again.(L) 32 He spoke plainly(M) about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!”(N) he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
The Way of the Cross
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.(O) 35 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.(P) 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man(Q) will be ashamed of them(R) when he comes(S) in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
