38 他们来到会堂主管的家里，耶稣看见一片混乱，有人哭泣，有人哀号。 39 耶稣进去对他们说：“为什么慌乱哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。”
40 他们就讥笑耶稣。耶稣把他们都赶出去，只带着孩子的父母和一起来的人，进入孩子所在的地方[a]。

40 這些人聽了，都譏笑祂。耶穌讓他們全部出去，然後帶著孩子的父母和三個門徒進了房間。

38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader,(A) Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”(B) 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.
