撒种的比喻

4 又一次，耶稣开始在湖边[a]教导人。有一大群人聚集到他那里，所以他上了湖中的一条船坐下来。众人都在岸边，面对湖站着。 2 耶稣用比喻教导他们很多事，在教导时对他们说： 3 “你们当听好：看哪，有一个撒种的出去撒种。 4 他撒的时候，有的种子落在路边，[b]飞鸟来了，就把它吃掉了。 5 另有落在岩石地上的，那里没有多少泥土，它立刻就发芽了，因为土不深； 6 当太阳升起，它被暴晒，就枯萎了，因为没有根。 7 另有落进荆棘丛里的，荆棘长起来把它挤住，它就结不出果实了。 8 可是另有落进好土壤里的，就发芽、生长，不断地结出果实，结出的有三十倍的、有六十倍的、有一百倍的。” 9 耶稣说：“凡是有耳可听的，就应当听！”

用比喻的原因

10 耶稣独自一人的时候，跟随他的人与十二使徒[c]一起问他这些比喻的意思。 11 耶稣对他们说：“神国的奥秘已经赐给你们了[d]，但是对外人，一切都是用比喻的。 12 这是为要使

‘他们看了又看，却不明白，
听了又听，却不领悟，
免得他们回转过来，
就[e]被赦免。’[f]”

解明撒种的比喻

13 耶稣对他们说：“你们不明白这个比喻，又怎么能领会所有的比喻呢？ 14 撒种的人所撒的是话语。 15 那被撒上话语的‘路边之地’是这样一些人：他们听了话语以后，撒旦就立刻来把那撒在他们心里[g]的话语夺走。 16 [h]那被撒上话语的‘岩石地’是这样一些人：他们一旦听了这话语，就立刻怀着喜乐的心接受了它； 17 可是他们里面没有根而不能持久，一旦为这话语受患难或逼迫，他们立刻就放弃[i]了。 18 那被撒进话语的‘荆棘丛’是另外一些人，那些人是这样的：他们听了这话语， 19 但今世的各种忧虑、财富的迷惑，以及其他各种欲望纷纷进来把这话语挤住了，他就成了不结果实的。 20 而那被撒上话语的‘好土壤’是这样的人：他们听了这话语就接受，并且结出果实来，有三十倍的，有六十倍的，也有一百倍的。”

油灯的比喻

21 耶稣又对他们说：“油灯拿进来，难道是为了放在斗[j]底下，或床底下吗？不是为了放在灯台上吗？ 22 这样，就算是隐秘的事，也没有不显明出来的；即使是隐藏的事，也没有不显露出来的。 23 凡是有耳可听的，就应当听！” 24 耶稣又说：“你们要留心所听到的。你们用什么量器[k]来衡量，也会同样地被衡量，而且还将加添给你们[l]； 25 因为凡是有的，还要赐给他；凡是没有的，连他有的也将从他那里被拿走。”

种子生长的比喻

26 耶稣又说：“神的国就像这样：有人在地上撒了种子， 27 黑夜白昼，或睡或起，他却不知道那种子怎样发芽和长大。 28 大地自然长出五谷[m]——先长苗，再吐穗，然后穗上结出饱满的子粒。 29 当果实成熟的时候，他立刻伸出镰刀，因为收割的季节到了。”

芥菜种的比喻

30 耶稣又说：“我们把神的国比做什么呢？用什么比喻来表明[n]它呢？ 31 它好像一粒芥菜种子，被种入地里的时候，比地上所有的种子更小， 32 可是被种下去以后，它就长起来，长得比所有蔬菜更大，并且长出大枝子，以致天空的飞鸟能在它的荫下搭窝。”

使用比喻

33 耶稣照着他们所能听的，用许多这样的比喻，向他们讲道。 34 他向众人讲话，没有不用比喻的。可是，他却单独给自己的门徒们解释一切。

平静风浪

35 那天晚上，耶稣对门徒们说：“我们渡到对岸去吧。” 36 门徒离开众人，耶稣仍然在船上，他们就把他一同带去；也有别的船[o]与他同行。 37 这时候，起了大风暴，以致波浪打进船里，船几乎灌满了水。 38 耶稣却在船尾靠着枕头睡着了。门徒们叫醒他，说：“老师！我们没命了，你不管吗？”

39 耶稣就起来，斥责了风，对浪[p]说：“不许做声！平静下来！”于是风就停了，湖面就变得一片平静。 40 耶稣对门徒们说：“为什么胆怯呢？你们还没有信吗？”

41 门徒们就大为惊恐，彼此说：“这个人究竟是谁？连风和浪也听从他！”

Ang Talinghaga tungkol sa Manghahasik(A)

4 Muling nagturo si Jesus sa tabi ng lawa ng Galilea. At dahil sa dami ng taong nakapalibot sa kanya, sumakay siya sa isang bangka at doon umupo, habang ang mga tao namaʼy nasa dalampasigan. 2 Marami siyang itinuro sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng mga talinghaga. Sinabi niya, 3 “Makinig kayo! May isang magsasakang naghasik ng binhi. 4 Sa kanyang paghahasik, may mga binhing nahulog sa tabi ng daan. Dumating ang mga ibon at tinuka ang mga binhing iyon. 5 May mga binhi namang nahulog sa mabatong lugar, kung saan walang gaanong lupa. Mabilis na tumubo ang binhi dahil mababaw ang lupa. 6 Ngunit natuyo rin ito nang masikatan ng araw, at dahil hindi malalim ang ugat, namatay ito. 7 May mga binhi namang nahulog sa lupang may matitinik na damo. 10 Nang nakauwi na ang mga tao, tinanong siya ng 12 apostol at ng iba pang mga tagasunod niya kung ano ang kahulugan ng talinghagang iyon. 11 Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Ipinagkaloob sa inyo na malaman ang mga lihim tungkol sa paghahari ng Dios, ngunit sa iba[c] ay ipinapahayag ito sa pamamagitan ng talinghaga, 12 upang matupad ang nakasulat sa Kasulatan,

    ‘Tumingin man sila nang tumingin, hindi sila makakakita.
    Makinig man sila nang makinig, hindi sila makakaunawa.
    Dahil kung makakaunawa sila, magsisisi sila sa kanilang kasalanan at patatawarin sila ng Dios.’[d]”

Ang Kahulugan ng Talinghaga tungkol sa Manghahasik(C)

13 Pagkatapos, sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Kung hindi ninyo nauunawaan ang talinghaga na ito, paano ninyo mauunawaan ang iba ko pang mga talinghaga? 14 Ang inihahasik ng manghahasik ay ang salita ng Dios. 15 Ang tabi ng daan, kung saan nahulog ang ilang binhi ay ang mga taong nakinig sa salita ng Dios. Ngunit dumating agad si Satanas at inagaw ang salita ng Dios na narinig nila. 16 Ang mabatong lugar, kung saan nahulog ang ibang binhi, ay ang mga taong nakinig sa salita ng Dios at masaya itong tinanggap kaagad. 17 Ngunit hindi taimtim sa puso ang pagtanggap nila, kaya hindi tumatagal ang kanilang pananampalataya. Ang Talinghaga tungkol sa Ilaw(D)

21 Sinabi pa ni Jesus sa kanila, “Walang taong nagsindi ng ilaw at pagkatapos ay tatakpan ng takalan o ilalagay sa ilalim ng higaan. Sa halip, inilalagay ang ilaw sa patungan. 22 Ganoon din naman, walang nakatagong hindi malalantad, at walang lihim na hindi mabubunyag.[f] 23 Kayong mga nakikinig, dapat nʼyo itong pag-isipan.”[g] 24 Sinabi pa niya, “Makinig kayong mabuti sa sinasabi ko. Bibigyan kayo ng Dios ng pang-unawa ayon sa inyong pakikinig,[h] at dadagdagan pa niya ito. 25 Sapagkat ang taong sumusunod sa narinig niyang katotohanan ay bibigyan pa ng pang-unawa. Ngunit ang taong hindi sumusunod sa katotohanan, kahit ang kaunti niyang naunawaan ay kukunin pa sa kanya.”

Ang Paghahalintulad sa Binhing Tumutubo

26 Sinabi pa ni Jesus, “Ang paghahari ng Dios ay maitutulad sa kwentong ito: May isang taong naghasik ng binhi sa kanyang bukid. 27 Habang nagtatrabaho siya sa araw at natutulog sa gabi, ang mga binhing inihasik niya ay tumutubo at lumalago kahit na hindi niya alam kung paano. 28 Ang lupa ang nagpapatubo at nagpapabunga sa tanim. Sisibol muna ang mga dahon, saka ang uhay, at pagkatapos ay ang mga butil. 29 At kapag hinog na, inaani ito ng may-ari, dahil panahon na para anihin.”

Ang Paghahalintulad sa Buto ng Mustasa(E)

30 Sinabi pa ni Jesus, “Sa ano kaya maitutulad ang paghahari ng Dios? Sa ano ko kaya ito maihahambing? 31 Katulad ito ng isang buto ng mustasa[i] na siyang pinakamaliit sa lahat ng buto. 32 Ngunit kapag naitanim na at tumubo, nagiging mas mataas ito kaysa sa ibang mga halaman, at kahit ang mga ibon ay nakakapamugad sa lilim ng mga sanga nito.”

33 Marami pang mga talinghaga o mga paghahalintulad na gaya ng mga ito ang ginamit ni Jesus sa pagtuturo sa mga tao ayon sa makakaya ng kanilang pang-unawa. 34 Hindi siya nangangaral sa mga tao nang hindi gumagamit ng talinghaga, pero ipinapaliwanag naman niya sa mga tagasunod niya kapag sila-sila na lang.

Pinatigil ni Jesus ang Malakas na Hangin at Alon(F)

35 Kinagabihan, sinabi ni Jesus sa mga tagasunod niya, “Tumawid tayo sa kabila ng lawa.” 36 Kaya iniwan ng mga tagasunod niya ang mga tao at sumakay na rin sila sa bangkang sinasakyan ni Jesus. May mga bangka ring sumunod sa kanila. 37 Habang naglalayag sila, biglang lumakas ang hangin. Hinampas ng malalaking alon ang bangka nila at halos mapuno na ito ng tubig. 38 Si Jesus ay nasa hulihan ng bangka at natutulog ng nakaunan. Ginising siya ng mga tagasunod niya, “Guro, malulunod na tayo! Balewala lang ba ito sa inyo?” 39 Kaya bumangon si Jesus at pinatigil ang hangin at mga alon. Sinabi niya, “Tigil! Kumalma kayo!” Tumigil nga ang hangin at kumalma ang dagat. 40 Tinanong niya ang mga tagasunod niya, “Bakit kayo natatakot? Wala pa ba kayong pananampalataya sa akin?” 41 Takot na takot sila at nag-usap-usap, “Sino kaya ang taong ito na kahit ang hangin at ang dagat ay sumusunod sa kanya?”

The Parable of the Sower(A)(B)

4 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake.(C) The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables,(D) and in his teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.(E) 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”(F)

9 Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”(G)

10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. 11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God(H) has been given to you. But to those on the outside(I) everything is said in parables 12 so that,

“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
    and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’[a]”(J)

13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? 14 The farmer sows the word.(K) 15 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan(L) comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. 16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth(M) and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. 20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”

A Lamp on a Stand

21 He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?(N) 22 For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.(O) 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.”(P)

24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.(Q) 25 Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”(R)

The Parable of the Growing Seed

26 He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like.(S) A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”(T)

The Parable of the Mustard Seed(U)

30 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like,(V) or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand.(W) 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable.(X) But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.

Jesus Calms the Storm(Y)

35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat.(Z) There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”(AA)

41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds [a]of the air came and devoured it. 5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no [b]crop. 8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

9 And He said [c]to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

The Purpose of Parables(D)

10 (E)But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. 11 And He said to them, “To you it has been given to (F)know the [d]mystery of the kingdom of God; but to (G)those who are outside, all things come in parables, 12 so that

(H)‘Seeing they may see and not perceive,
And hearing they may hear and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’ ”

The Parable of the Sower Explained(I)

13 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 (J)The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the (K)cares of this world, (L)the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, [e]accept it, and bear (M)fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

Light Under a Basket(N)

21 (O)Also He said to them, “Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand? 22 (P)For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. 23 (Q)If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

24 Then He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. (R)With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. 25 (S)For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

The Parable of the Growing Seed

The Parable of the Mustard Seed(X)

30 Then He said, (Y)“To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? 31 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; 32 but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”

Jesus’ Use of Parables

33 (Z)And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it. 34 But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, (AA)He explained all things to His disciples.

Wind and Wave Obey Jesus(AB)

35 (AC)On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, (AD)“Teacher, (AE)do You not care that we are perishing?”

39 Then He arose and (AF)rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, (AG)“Peace,[g] be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? (AH)How[h] is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

10 耶稣独自一人的时候，跟随他的人和十二使徒问他这些比喻的意思。 11 耶稣对他们说：“　神国的奥秘只让你们知道，若是对外人讲，凡事就用比喻， 12 要

他们看了又看，却看不清，
听了又听，却不明白，
免得他们回转过来，获得赦免。”

解释撒种的比喻(C)

13 耶稣又对他们说：“你们不明白这比喻吗？这样怎能明白一切的比喻呢？ 14 撒种的人所撒的就是道。 15 那撒在路旁的种子，就是人听了道，撒但立刻来，把撒在他们心里的道夺了去。 16 那撒在石头地上的，就是人听了道，立刻欢喜领受， 17 因心里没有根，不过是暂时的，一旦为道遭受患难或迫害，立刻就跌倒。 18 还有那撒在荆棘里的，就是人听了道， 19 后来有世上的忧虑、钱财的迷惑，和别样的私欲进来，把道挤住了，结不出果实。 20 那撒在好土里的，就是人听了道，领受了，并且结了果实，有三十倍的，有六十倍的，有一百倍的。”

斗下的灯(D)

21 耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，难道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在灯台上吗？ 22 因为掩藏的事没有不显出来的，隐瞒的事也没有不露出来的。 23 有耳可听的，就应当听！”

24 他又说：“你们要留心所听的。你们用什么量器来量，也将要用什么来量给你们，并且要多给你们。 25 因为有的，还要给他；没有的，连他所有的也要夺去。”

种子长大的比喻

26 耶稣又说：“　神的国如同人把种子撒在地上， 27 黑夜睡觉，白日起来，这种子就发芽生长，那人却不知道如何会这样。 28 土地自然而然地出产五谷，先发苗，后长穗，然后穗上结成饱满的谷子。 29 五谷熟了，就用镰刀去割，因为收成的时候到了。”

芥菜种的比喻(E)

30 耶稣又说：“我们可用什么来比拟　神的国呢？可用什么比喻来说明呢？ 31 它像一粒芥菜种，种在地里的时候，虽比地上所有的种子都小， 32 但种下去以后，它长起来，比各样的菜都大，又长出大枝，以致天上的飞鸟可以在它的荫下筑巢。”

用比喻讲道(F)

33 耶稣用许多这样的比喻，照他们所能听的，对他们讲道； 34 若不用比喻，他就不对他们讲，但私下没有人的时候，就把一切的道讲给门徒听。

平静风和海(G)

35 那天晚上，耶稣对门徒说：“我们渡到对岸去吧。” 36 门徒离开众人，耶稣已在船上，他们就请他一同去；也有别的船和他同行。 37 忽然狂风大作，波浪打入船内，以致船灌满了水。 38 耶稣在船尾上，枕着枕头睡觉。门徒叫醒他，说：“老师！我们快没命了，你不管吗？” 39 耶稣醒了，斥责那风，向海说：“住了吧！静了吧！”风就止住，大大平静了。 40 耶稣对他们说：“为什么胆怯？你们还没有信心吗？” 41 他们就非常惧怕，彼此说：“这到底是谁？连风和海都听从他。”
