预言圣殿被毁
13 耶稣从殿里出来的时候，有一个门徒对他说：“夫子，请看，这是何等的石头，何等的殿宇！” 2 耶稣对他说：“你看见这大殿宇吗？将来在这里没有一块石头留在石头上不被拆毁了。”
这些事的预兆
3 耶稣在橄榄山上对圣殿而坐，彼得、雅各、约翰和安得烈暗暗地问他说： 4 “请告诉我们，什么时候有这些事呢？这一切事将成的时候有什么预兆呢？” 5 耶稣说：“你们要谨慎，免得有人迷惑你们。 6 将来有好些人冒我的名来，说‘我是基督’，并且要迷惑许多人。 7 你们听见打仗和打仗的风声，不要惊慌，这些事是必须有的，只是末期还没有到。 8 民要攻打民，国要攻打国，多处必有地震、饥荒，这都是灾难[a]的起头。
忍耐到底必要得救
9 “但你们要谨慎，因为人要把你们交给公会，并且你们在会堂里要受鞭打，又为我的缘故站在诸侯与君王面前，对他们作见证。 10 然而，福音必须先传给万民。 11 人把你们拉去交官的时候，不要预先思虑说什么，到那时候，赐给你们什么话，你们就说什么；因为说话的不是你们，乃是圣灵。 12 弟兄要把弟兄，父亲要把儿子，送到死地；儿女要起来与父母为敌，害死他们。 13 并且你们要为我的名被众人恨恶，唯有忍耐到底的，必然得救。
为选民要减少灾难的日子
14 “你们看见‘那行毁坏可憎的’站在不当站的地方——读这经的人须要会意——那时，在犹太的，应当逃到山上； 15 在房上的，不要下来，也不要进去拿家里的东西； 16 在田里的，也不要回去取衣裳。 17 当那些日子，怀孕的和奶孩子的有祸了！ 18 你们应当祈求，叫这些事不在冬天临到。 19 因为在那些日子必有灾难，自从神创造万物直到如今并没有这样的灾难，后来也必没有。 20 若不是主减少那日子，凡有血气的总没有一个得救的；只是为主的选民，他将那日子减少了。 21 那时，若有人对你们说‘看哪，基督在这里’，或说‘基督在那里’，你们不要信。 22 因为假基督、假先知将要起来，显神迹奇事，倘若能行，就把选民迷惑了。 23 你们要谨慎！看哪，凡事我都预先告诉你们了！
24 “在那些日子，那灾难以后，‘日头要变黑了，月亮也不放光， 25 众星要从天上坠落，天势都要震动。’ 26 那时，他们[b]要看见人子有大能力、大荣耀驾云降临。 27 他要差遣天使，把他的选民从四方[c]，从地极直到天边，都招聚了来。

28 “你们可以从无花果树学个比方。当树枝发嫩长叶的时候，你们就知道夏天近了。 29 这样，你们几时看见这些事成就，也该知道人子[d]近了，正在门口了。 30 我实在告诉你们：这世代还没有过去，这些事都要成就。 31 天地要废去，我的话却不能废去。 32 但那日子、那时辰，没有人知道，连天上的使者也不知道，子也不知道，唯有父知道。 33 你们要谨慎，警醒祈祷，因为你们不晓得那日期几时来到。 34 这事正如一个人离开本家，寄居外邦，把权柄交给仆人，分派各人当做的工，又吩咐看门的警醒。 35 所以，你们要警醒，因为你们不知道家主什么时候来，或晚上，或半夜，或鸡叫，或早晨。 36 恐怕他忽然来到，看见你们睡着了。 37 我对你们所说的话，也是对众人说：要警醒！”

13 耶穌走出聖殿的時候，有一個門徒對祂說：「老師，你看！這是多麼大的石頭，多麼宏偉的建築啊！」
2 耶穌說：「你看見這宏偉的建築了嗎？將來它要被完全拆毀，找不到兩塊疊在一起的石頭。」
3 耶穌面向聖殿坐在橄欖山上，彼得、雅各、約翰和安得烈私下來問祂： 4 「請告訴我們，這些事什麼時候會發生？有什麼預兆？」
5 耶穌對他們說：「你們要小心，免得被人迷惑。 6 將有很多人冒我的名來，說，『我是基督』，欺騙許多人。
7 「你們聽見戰爭爆發、戰訊頻傳時，不要驚慌，因為這些事必然發生，只是末日還沒有到。
8 「民族將與民族互鬥，國家將與國家相爭，各處將有地震和饑荒。這些只是災難[a]的開始。
9 「你們要小心，因為你們將被送上法庭，將在會堂裡受鞭打，又將為了我的緣故在官長和君王面前做見證。 10 不過，福音一定要先傳遍天下。 11 你們被拘捕，受審訊的時候，不用預先考慮怎樣辯解，到時候賜給你們什麼話，你們就說什麼話，因為那時候說話的不是你們自己，而是聖靈。
12 「那時，人必把自己的弟兄置於死地，父親必把兒子置於死地，兒女必反叛父母，置他們於死地。 13 你們將為我的名而被眾人憎恨，但堅忍到底的必定得救。
大災難
14 「當你們看見『那帶來毀滅的可憎之物』站在不當站的地方時（讀者須會意），住在猶太地區的人要逃到山上去； 15 在屋頂上的人不要下來，不要進房屋收拾行李； 16 在田間的人不要回家取外衣。 17 那時，孕婦和哺育嬰兒的母親們可就遭殃了！ 18 你們要祈求上帝使這些事不要在冬天發生， 19 因為那是上帝創造天地以來空前絕後的大災難。 20 如果主不縮短災期，恐怕沒有人能活命，但為了祂所揀選的子民，祂已經縮短災期。 21 那時，如果有人對你們說，『看啊！基督在這裡』，或說，『基督在那裡』，你們不要相信。 22 因為假基督和假先知將出現，行各種神蹟奇事，如果可能，甚至會迷惑上帝揀選的子民。 23 你們要小心，我已經把一切預先告訴你們了。
人子降臨
24 「大災難過後，
太陽昏暗，
月亮無光，
25 星宿隕落，
天體震動。
26 那時，世人必看到人子駕著雲、帶著極大的能力和榮耀降臨。 27 祂必差遣天使從四面八方、天涯海角招聚祂揀選的人。
28 「你們可以從無花果樹學個道理。當無花果樹發芽長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天快來了。 29 同樣，當你們看見這些事情發生時，就知道人子快來了，就在門口。 30 我實在告訴你們，這個世代還沒有過去，這一切都要發生。 31 天地都要過去，我的話卻永遠長存。
32 「但沒有人知道那日子和時辰何時來到，連天上的天使和人子都不知道，只有天父知道。 33 你們要小心，警醒禱告，因為你們不知道那日子何時來到。
34 「這就好像一個人在出遠門之前，把家中的事交給僕人，讓他們各做各的工作，又吩咐守門的人要警醒。 35 所以你們要警醒，因為你們不知道主人什麼時候回來，可能是黃昏，可能是夜半，也可能是黎明或早上。 36 別讓他突然回來時看到你們在睡覺。 37 我勸你們也勸所有的人，要警醒！」

Jesus Tells of the House of God (A)
13 Jesus went out of the house of God. One of His followers said to Him, “Teacher, look at the big stones and these great buildings!” 2 Jesus said, “Do you see these great buildings? All these stones will be thrown down. Not one will be left standing on another.”
Jesus Teaches on the Mount Of Olives
3 Jesus sat down on the Mount of Olives at a place where He could see the house of God. Peter and James and John and Andrew came to Him. They asked without anyone else hearing, 4 “Tell us when this will be. What are we to look for when these things are to happen?”
What to Look for Before Jesus Returns
5 Jesus began to say to them, “Be careful that no one leads you the wrong way. 6 Many people will come using My name. They will say, ‘I am Christ.’ They will turn many to the wrong way. 7 When you hear of wars and much talk about wars, do not be surprised. These things have to happen. But the end is not yet. 8 Nations will have wars with other nations. Countries will fight against countries. The earth will shake and break apart in different places. There will be no food for people. There will be much trouble. These things are the beginning of much sorrow and pain.
It Will Be Hard for Those Who Believe
9 “Watch out for yourselves. They will take you to the courts. In the places of worship they will beat you. You will be taken in front of rulers and in front of kings because of Me. You will be there to tell them about Me. 10 The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.
11 “When you are put into their hands, do not be afraid of what you are to say or how you are to say it. Whatever is given to you to say at that time, say it. It will not be you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit. 12 A brother will hand over a brother to death. A father will hand over his son. Children will turn against their parents and have them put to death. 13 You will be hated by all people because of Me. But he who stays true to the end will be saved.
Days of Trouble and Pain and Sorrow
14 “You will see a very sinful man-made god standing in the house of God where it has no right to stand. Then those in the country of Judea should run to the mountains. It was spoken of by the early preacher Daniel. (B) The one who reads this should understand. 15 He that is on the top of the house should not take the time to get anything out of his house. 16 He that is in the field should not go back to get his coat. 17 It will be hard for women who will soon be mothers. It will be hard for those feeding babies in those days! 18 Pray that it will not be during the winter. 19 In those days there will be much trouble and pain and sorrow. It has never been this bad from the beginning of time and never will be again. 20 If the Lord had not made those days short, no life would have been saved. Because of God’s people whom He has chosen, He made the days short.
The False Religious Teachers
21 “If anyone says to you, ‘See! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. 22 Some will come who will say they are Christ. False preachers will come. These people will do special things for people to see. They will do surprising things, so that if it can be, God’s people will be led to believe something wrong. 23 See! I have told you about these things before they happen.
Jesus Will Come Again in His Greatness
24 “After those days of much trouble and pain and sorrow are over, the sun will get dark. The moon will not give light. 25 The stars will fall from the sky. The powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and shining-greatness. 27 He will send His angels. They will gather together God’s people from the four winds. They will come from one end of the earth to the other end of heaven.
The Picture-Story of the Fig Tree
28 “Now learn something from the fig tree. When the branch begins to grow and puts out its leaves, you know summer is near. 29 In the same way, when you see all these things happen, you know the Son of Man is near. He is even at the door. 30 For sure, I tell you, the people of this day will not pass away before all these things have happened.
31 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away. 32 But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.
33 “Be careful! Watch and pray. You do not know when it will happen. 34 The coming of the Son of Man is as a man who went from his house to a far country. He gave each one of his servants some work to do. He told the one standing at the door to watch. 35 In the same way, you are to watch also! You do not know when the Owner of the house will be coming. It may be in the evening or in the night or when the sun comes up or in the morning. 36 He may come when you are not looking for Him and find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to all. Watch!”
