葡萄园主的比喻
12 耶稣开始用比喻对他们说：“有一个人栽种了一个葡萄园，四面围上篱笆，挖了一个榨酒池，盖了一座守望楼，然后把葡萄园租给一些农夫，就出外旅行。 2 到了收获的[a]季节，他就派了一个奴仆到那些农夫那里去，好从他们收取葡萄园的果子。 3 但他们抓住那奴仆，打了他，叫他空手回去。 4 园主又派另一个奴仆到他们那里去。那些农夫[b]打伤了他的头，并且侮辱他[c]。 5 园主再派另一个去，他们把他杀了。另派了许多去，有的被打，有的被杀。
6 “那园主还有一位——是他的爱子。最后他差派儿子到他们那里，说：‘他们一定会尊重我的儿子。’
7 “可是那些农夫彼此说：‘这是继承人。来，我们把他杀了，那继业就归我们了。’ 8 于是他们抓住他，把他杀了，并扔出葡萄园外。
9 “那么，葡萄园的主人会做什么呢？他会来除灭那些农夫，把葡萄园交给别人。 10 你们难道也没有读过这段经文吗？
‘工匠所弃绝的石头，
它已经成了房角的头块石头；

12 祭司长们、律法师们和长老们知道这比喻是针对他们而说的，就想拘捕耶稣。可是他们怕民众，于是离开耶稣走了。
神与凯撒
13 后来，他们派了一些法利赛人和希律党的人到耶稣那里，要找话柄来陷害他。 14 那些人来对耶稣说：“老师，我们知道你是真诚的。你不顾忌任何人，因为你不看人的情面，而是按真理教导神的道[e]。请问，向凯撒纳税，可以不可以呢？我们该交还是不该交呢？”
15 耶稣看出他们的假意，就对他们说：“你们为什么试探我呢？拿一个银币[f]来给我看。” 16 他们就拿来了。耶稣问他们：“这是谁的像和名号？”
他们回答说：“是凯撒的。”
17 耶稣对他们说：“凯撒的归给凯撒；神的归给神。”这使他们感到惊奇。
撒都该人与复活

最重要的诫命
28 有一个经文士前来，听见他们辩论，见耶稣回答得好，就问耶稣：“所有的诫命中，哪一条是最重要的呢？”
29 耶稣回答：“[l]最重要的是：
31 “其次就是‘要爱邻如己。’[p]没有别的诫命比这两条更大的了。”
32 那经文士就对耶稣说：“不错，老师，你真的讲了：神只有一位，除他以外没有别的神。 33 以全心、全智、[q]全力来爱神，并且要爱邻如己，这是比所有的燔祭和各种祭祀都重要的。”
34 耶稣见他回答得有智慧，就对他说：“你离神的国不远了。”于是，没有人敢再质问耶稣了。
有关基督的问题
35 耶稣在圣殿里教导人的时候问：“经文士们怎么说基督是大卫的后裔呢？ 36 大卫藉着圣灵，自己说过：
37 大卫自己称基督为‘主’，基督又怎么会是大卫的后裔呢？”那一大群人都乐意听耶稣讲说。
要防备经文士
38 耶稣在他的教导中说：“你们要当心经文士们。他们喜欢穿着长袍走来走去，喜欢街市上的致敬问候， 39 又喜欢会堂里的首位、宴席中的上座。 40 他们侵吞寡妇的家产，又假意做很长的祷告。这些人将受到更重的惩罚[t]。”
寡妇的奉献
41 耶稣面对奉献箱坐着，看众人怎样把钱投入奉献箱里。许多富有的人投进了很多钱。 42 有一个穷寡妇来，投进两个小钱[u]，值一个铜币[v]。 43 耶稣把他的门徒们召来，对他们说：“我确实地告诉你们：这穷寡妇所投入奉献箱的，比所有的人投的更多。 44 因为大家是从自己的富余中拿出来投进去；而这寡妇是从自己的缺乏中，把她所拥有的一切，就是她全部的养生费用都投进去了。”

12 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.'
8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13 And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
38 And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

The Pharisees: Is It Lawful to Pay Taxes to Caesar?(G)
13 (H)Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. 14 When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and [d]care about no one; for You do not [e]regard the person of men, but teach the (I)way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?”
But He, knowing their (J)hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.” 16 So they brought it.
And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”
17 And Jesus answered and said to them, [f]“Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to (K)God the things that are God’s.”
And they marveled at Him.
The Sadducees: What About the Resurrection?(L)
18 (M)Then some Sadducees, (N)who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying: 19 “Teacher, (O)Moses wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies, and leaves his wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. 21 And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. 22 So the seven had her and left no offspring. The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?(S)

2 Und er sandte zur bestimmten Zeit einen Knecht zu den Weingärtnern, damit er von den Weingärtnern [seinen Anteil] von der Frucht des Weinberges empfange.
3 Die aber ergriffen ihn, schlugen ihn und schickten ihn mit leeren Händen fort.
4 Und wiederum sandte er einen anderen Knecht zu ihnen; und den steinigten sie, schlugen ihn auf den Kopf und schickten ihn entehrt fort.
5 Und er sandte wiederum einen anderen, den töteten sie, und noch viele andere; die einen schlugen sie, die anderen töteten sie.
6 Nun hatte er noch einen einzigen Sohn, seinen geliebten; den sandte er zuletzt auch zu ihnen und sprach: Sie werden sich vor meinem Sohn scheuen!
7 Jene Weingärtner aber sprachen untereinander: Das ist der Erbe! Kommt, lasst uns ihn töten, so wird das Erbgut uns gehören!

12 Da suchten sie ihn zu ergreifen, aber sie fürchteten das Volk; denn sie erkannten, dass er das Gleichnis gegen sie gesagt hatte. Und sie ließen ab von ihm und gingen davon.
Die Frage nach der Steuer
13 Und sie sandten etliche von den Pharisäern und Herodianern zu ihm, um ihn in der Rede zu fangen.
14 Diese kamen nun und sprachen zu ihm: Meister, wir wissen, dass du wahrhaftig bist und auf niemand Rücksicht nimmst; denn du siehst die Person der Menschen nicht an, sondern lehrst den Weg Gottes der Wahrheit gemäß. Ist es erlaubt, dem Kaiser die Steuer zu geben, oder nicht? Sollen wir sie geben oder nicht geben?
15 Da er aber ihre Heuchelei erkannte, sprach er zu ihnen: Weshalb versucht ihr mich? Bringt mir einen Denar, damit ich ihn ansehe!
16 Da brachten sie einen. Und er sprach zu ihnen: Wessen ist dieses Bild und die Aufschrift? Sie aber sprachen zu ihm: Des Kaisers!
17 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gebt dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist! Und sie verwunderten sich über ihn.
Die Frage nach der Auferstehung
18 Und es kamen Sadduzäer zu ihm, die sagen, es gebe keine Auferstehung; und sie fragten ihn und sprachen:
19 Meister, Mose hat uns geschrieben: Wenn jemandes Bruder stirbt und eine Frau hinterlässt, aber keine Kinder, so soll sein Bruder dessen Frau nehmen und seinem Bruder Nachkommen erwecken.
20 Nun waren da sieben Brüder. Und der erste nahm eine Frau, und er starb und hinterließ keine Nachkommen.
21 Da nahm sie der zweite, und er starb, und auch er hinterließ keine Nachkommen; und der dritte ebenso.
22 Und es nahmen sie alle sieben und hinterließen keine Nachkommen. Als Letzte von allen starb auch die Frau.
23 In der Auferstehung nun, wenn sie auferstehen, wessen Frau wird sie sein? Denn alle sieben haben sie zur Frau gehabt.
24 Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: Irrt ihr nicht darum, weil ihr weder die Schriften kennt noch die Kraft Gottes?
25 Denn wenn sie aus den Toten auferstehen, so heiraten sie nicht noch werden sie verheiratet, sondern sie sind wie die Engel, die im Himmel sind.
26 Was aber die Toten anbelangt, dass sie auferstehen: Habt ihr nicht gelesen im Buch Moses, bei [der Stelle von] dem Busch, wie Gott zu ihm sprach: »Ich bin der Gott Abrahams und der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs«[c]?
27 Er ist nicht der Gott der Toten, sondern der Gott der Lebendigen. Darum irrt ihr sehr.
Die Frage nach dem größten Gebot
28 Da trat einer der Schriftgelehrten herzu, der ihrem Wortwechsel zugehört hatte, und weil er sah, dass er ihnen gut geantwortet hatte, fragte er ihn: Welches ist das erste Gebot unter allen?
29 Jesus aber antwortete ihm: Das erste Gebot unter allen ist: »Höre, Israel, der Herr, unser Gott, ist Herr allein;
30 und du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deinem ganzen Denken und mit deiner ganzen Kraft!«[d] Dies ist das erste Gebot.
31 Und das zweite ist [ihm] vergleichbar, nämlich dies: »Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst!«[e] Größer als diese ist kein anderes Gebot.
32 Und der Schriftgelehrte sprach zu ihm: Recht so, Meister! Es ist in Wahrheit so, wie du sagst, dass es nur einen Gott gibt und keinen anderen außer ihm;
33 und ihn zu lieben mit ganzem Herzen und mit ganzem Verständnis und mit ganzer Seele und mit aller Kraft und den Nächsten zu lieben wie sich selbst, das ist mehr als alle Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer!
34 Und da Jesus sah, dass er verständig geantwortet hatte, sprach er zu ihm: Du bist nicht fern vom Reich Gottes! Und es getraute sich niemand mehr, ihn weiter zu fragen.
Wessen Sohn ist der Christus? Warnung vor den Schriftgelehrten
35 Und Jesus begann und sprach, während er im Tempel lehrte: Wie können die Schriftgelehrten sagen, dass der Christus Davids Sohn ist?
36 David selbst sprach doch im Heiligen Geist: »Der Herr sprach zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde hinlege als Schemel für deine Füße!«[f]
37 David selbst nennt ihn also Herr; wie kann er dann sein Sohn sein? Und die große Volksmenge hörte ihm mit Freude zu.
38 Und er sagte ihnen in seiner Lehre: Hütet euch vor den Schriftgelehrten, welche gern im Talar einhergehen und auf den Märkten sich grüßen lassen
39 und die ersten Sitze in den Synagogen und die obersten Plätze bei den Mahlzeiten einnehmen wollen,
40 welche die Häuser der Witwen fressen und zum Schein lange Gebete sprechen. Diese werden ein umso schwereres Gericht empfangen!
Die Scherflein der Witwe
41 Und Jesus setzte sich dem Opferkasten[g] gegenüber und schaute zu, wie die Leute Geld in den Opferkasten legten. Und viele Reiche legten viel ein.
42 Und es kam eine arme Witwe, die legte zwei Scherflein ein, das ist ein Groschen[h].
43 Da rief er seine Jünger zu sich und sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Diese arme Witwe hat mehr in den Opferkasten gelegt als alle, die eingelegt haben.
44 Denn alle haben von ihrem Überfluss eingelegt; diese aber hat von ihrer Armut alles eingelegt, was sie hatte, ihren ganzen Lebensunterhalt.
