Parábola de los labradores malvados
12 (A)Entonces comenzó a hablarles en parábolas(B): Un hombre plantó una viña y la cercó con un muro[a], cavó un estanque debajo del lagar y edificó una torre(C); la arrendó a labradores y se fue de viaje. 2 Al tiempo de la vendimia envió un siervo a los labradores para recibir de los labradores su parte de los frutos de la viña. 3 Pero ellos, echándole mano, lo golpearon y lo enviaron con las manos vacías. 4 De nuevo les mandó otro siervo, y a él lo hirieron en la cabeza y lo trataron vergonzosamente. 5 Y envió a otro y a este lo mataron; y así con otros muchos, golpeando a unos y matando a otros. 6 Todavía le quedaba[b] uno, un hijo amado; y les envió a este último, diciendo: «Respetarán a mi hijo». 7 Pero aquellos labradores se dijeron entre sí: «Este es el heredero; ¡venid, matémosle, y la heredad será nuestra!». 8 Y echándole mano, lo mataron y lo arrojaron fuera de la viña. 9 ¿Qué hará, entonces, el dueño[c] de la viña? Vendrá y destruirá a los labradores, y dará la viña a otros. 10 ¿Ni aun esta Escritura habéis leído:
«La piedra que desecharon los constructores,
esa, en piedra angular[d] se ha convertido(D);
11 esto fue hecho de parte del Señor,
y es maravilloso a nuestros ojos(E)»?
12 Y procuraban prenderle(F), pero temían a la multitud, porque comprendieron que contra ellos había dicho la parábola. Y dejándole, se fueron(G).
El pago del impuesto al César
13 (H)Y le enviaron* algunos de los fariseos y de los herodianos(I) para sorprenderle en alguna palabra(J). 14 Y cuando ellos llegaron*, le dijeron*: Maestro, sabemos que eres veraz y que no buscas el favor[e] de nadie, porque eres imparcial[f], y enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad. ¿Es lícito pagar[g] impuesto al César, o no? 15 ¿Pagaremos[h] o no pagaremos[i]? Pero Él, dándose cuenta de su hipocresía, les dijo: ¿Por qué me estáis poniendo a prueba? Traedme un denario[j] para verlo. 16 Se lo trajeron, y Él les dijo*: ¿De quién es esta imagen y la inscripción? Y ellos le dijeron: Del César. 17 Entonces Jesús les dijo: Dad al César lo que es del César, y a Dios lo que es de Dios(K). Y se maravillaban de Él.
Pregunta sobre la resurrección
18 (L)Y algunos saduceos (los que dicen que no hay resurrección) se le acercaron*, y le preguntaban, diciendo: 19 Maestro, Moisés nos dejó escrito: Si el hermano de alguno muere y deja mujer y no deja hijo, que su hermano tome la mujer y levante descendencia a su hermano(M). 20 Hubo siete hermanos; y el primero tomó esposa, y murió sin dejar descendencia. 21 Y el segundo la tomó, y murió sin dejar descendencia; y asimismo el tercero; 22 y así los siete, sin dejar descendencia. Y por último murió también la mujer. 23 En la resurrección, cuando resuciten[k], ¿de cuál de ellos será mujer? Pues los siete la tuvieron por mujer. 24 Jesús les dijo: ¿No es esta la razón por la que estáis equivocados: que no entendéis[l] las Escrituras ni el poder de Dios? 25 Porque cuando resuciten de entre los muertos, ni se casarán ni serán dados en matrimonio, sino que serán como los ángeles en los cielos. 26 Y en cuanto a que los muertos resucitan, ¿no habéis leído en el libro de Moisés, en el pasaje(N) sobre la zarza ardiendo, cómo Dios le habló, diciendo: «Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob(O)»? 27 Él no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos(P); vosotros estáis muy equivocados.
El mandamiento supremo
28 (Q)Cuando uno de los escribas se acercó, los oyó discutir, y reconociendo que les había contestado bien(R), le preguntó: ¿Cuál mandamiento es el más importante[m] de todos? 29 Jesús respondió: El más importante[n] es: «Escucha, Israel; el Señor nuestro Dios, el Señor uno es(S); 30 y amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente, y con toda tu fuerza(T)». 31 El segundo es este: «Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo(U)». No hay otro mandamiento mayor que estos. 32 Y el escriba le dijo: Muy bien, Maestro; con verdad has dicho que Él es uno, y no hay otro además de Él(V); 33 y que amarle con todo el corazón y con todo el entendimiento y con todas las fuerzas, y amar al prójimo como a uno mismo(W), es más que todos los holocaustos y los sacrificios(X). 34 Viendo Jesús que él había respondido sabiamente, le dijo: No estás lejos del reino de Dios. Y después de eso, nadie se aventuraba a hacerle más preguntas(Y).
Jesús, Hijo y Señor de David
35 (Z)Y tomando la palabra, Jesús decía mientras enseñaba en el templo(AA): ¿Por qué[o] dicen los escribas que el Cristo[p] es hijo de David(AB)? 36 David mismo dijo por el Espíritu Santo:
«El Señor dijo a mi Señor:
“siéntate a mi diestra,
hasta que ponga a tus enemigos debajo de tus pies(AC)”».
37 David mismo le llama «Señor». ¿En qué sentido es, pues, su hijo? Y la gran multitud(AD) le escuchaba con gusto.
Advertencia contra los escribas
38 (AE)Y en su enseñanza les decía: Cuidaos de los escribas, a quienes les gusta andar con vestiduras largas, y aman los saludos respetuosos en las plazas(AF), 39 los primeros asientos en las sinagogas y los lugares de honor en los banquetes; 40 que devoran las casas de las viudas, y por las apariencias hacen largas oraciones; estos recibirán mayor condenación(AG).
La ofrenda de la viuda
41 (AH)Jesús se sentó frente al arca del tesoro(AI), y observaba cómo la multitud echaba dinero[q] en el arca del tesoro(AJ); y muchos ricos echaban grandes cantidades. 42 Y llegó una viuda pobre y echó dos pequeñas monedas de cobre[r], o sea, un cuadrante[s]. 43 Y llamando a sus discípulos, les dijo: En verdad os digo, que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos los contribuyentes al[t] tesoro; 44 porque todos ellos echaron de lo que les sobra[u], pero ella, de su pobreza echó todo lo que poseía, todo lo que tenía para vivir[v](AK).

3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13 And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?
36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

The Pharisees: Is It Lawful to Pay Taxes to Caesar?(G)
13 (H)Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. 14 When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and [d]care about no one; for You do not [e]regard the person of men, but teach the (I)way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?”
But He, knowing their (J)hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.” 16 So they brought it.
And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

And they marveled at Him.
The Sadducees: What About the Resurrection?(L)

The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?(S)

A parábola dos lavradores maus
(Mt 21.33-46; Lc 20.9-19)
12 Depois disto Jesus começou a falar com eles mediante parábolas, e disse:
—Um homem fez uma plantação de uvas e a cercou com um muro. Depois construiu um tanque, onde as uvas seriam amassadas, e uma torre. Então arrendou a plantação para alguns lavradores e foi viajar. 2 Quando chegou o tempo certo, o dono mandou um servo seu aos lavradores a fim de receber parte dos frutos da sua plantação de uvas. 3 Os lavradores, porém, pegaram o servo e, dando-lhe uma surra, o mandaram de volta de mãos vazias. 4 Ele lhes enviou outro, mas eles bateram na cabeça dele e o insultaram. Então lhes enviou um outro que, por sua vez, foi morto por eles. 5 O dono da plantação de uvas lhes enviou muitos outros, mas eles bateram em alguns e mataram a outros. 6 Só restava ao dono da plantação enviar seu querido filho. E enviando-o, finalmente, disse: “Ao meu filho eles respeitarão”. 7 Os lavradores, porém, disseram uns aos outros: “Este é o herdeiro. Jesus e os impostos

13 Depois, enviaram alguns fariseus e alguns herodianos até Jesus para ver se o pegavam em alguma coisa que ele dissesse. 14 E, aproximando-se dele, disseram:
—Mestre, nós sabemos que é um homem honesto e que não se importa com o que as pessoas possam pensar, pois o senhor não olha para as aparências, mas ensina sempre o caminho de Deus com toda honestidade. É certo ou não pagar impostos ao imperador? Devemos pagá-los ou não?
15 Jesus, porém, percebendo a hipocrisia deles, lhes disse:
—Por que estão me testando? Tragam-me uma moeda de prata para eu ver.
16 Eles lhe deram a moeda e ele lhes perguntou:
—De quem são esta imagem e esta inscrição?
—Do imperador—eles responderam.
17 Jesus, então, lhes disse:
—Deem ao imperador o que é Do imperador e deem a Deus o que é de Deus.
E todos ficaram admirados com ele.
Os saduceus perguntam sobre a ressurreição
(Mt 22.23-33; Lc 20.27-40)
18 Depois, alguns saduceus, os quais dizem não haver ressurreição, se aproximaram dele e perguntaram:
19 —Mestre, Moisés nos deixou escrito que se um homem morrer e deixar a esposa sem filhos, o irmão dele deve casar-se com a viúva para terem filhos que serão considerados filhos do irmão que morreu.[a] 20 Era uma vez sete irmãos. O primeiro se casou e morreu sem deixar filhos. 21 O segundo se casou com a viúva e morreu sem deixar filhos. Com o terceiro aconteceu a mesma coisa, 22 e nenhum dos sete teve filhos. Por último, morreu também a mulher. 23 No dia da ressurreição, quando todos voltarem à vida, de quem ela será esposa, uma vez que foi casada com todos os sete irmãos? 24 Jesus, porém, lhes respondeu:
—Como vocês estão enganados! E a razão é que não conhecem as Escrituras nem o poder de Deus. 25 Quando o dia da ressurreição chegar, ninguém se casará. Porém todos serão como os anjos no céu. 26 Mas a respeito da ressurreição dos mortos, vocês nunca leram no livro de Moisés, a passagem que fala sobre o arbusto[b] que queimava? O mandamento mais importante

28 Um dos professores da lei aproximando-se de Jesus, ouviu a discussão e, como tivesse gostado da resposta que Jesus havia dado, lhe perguntou:
—Qual é o mandamento mais importante?
29 Jesus respondeu:
—O mandamento mais importante é o primeiro: “Ouça, Israel! O Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor. 30 Ame o Senhor seu Deus de todo o seu coração, de toda a sua alma, de todo o seu entendimento e de toda a sua força”(C).[c] 31 O segundo mandamento é este: “Ame o seu próximo[d] como você ama a você mesmo”(D). Não há nenhum outro mandamento que seja maior do que estes. 32 O mestre da lei lhe disse:
—O senhor tem razão, Mestre! Está certo quando diz que Deus é único e que não existe outro a não ser ele. 33 O senhor também está certo quando diz que devemos amá-lo de todo o nosso coração, com todo o nosso entendimento e com toda a nossa força, e que também devemos amar o nosso próximo assim como amamos a nós mesmos, pois tudo isso é superior a quaisquer ofertas de animais queimados ou sacrifícios.
34 Quando Jesus ouviu aquela resposta sábia do mestre da lei, lhe disse:
—Você não está longe do reino de Deus. Depois disto, ninguém se atreveu a fazer-lhe mais perguntas.
Jesus pergunta sobre o Messias

35 Quando Jesus estava ensinando no templo, disse:
—Como podem os professores da lei dizer que o Cristo vem da família de Davi? 36 O próprio Davi, inspirado pelo Espírito Santo, disse:

37 Se o próprio Davi o chama de Senhor, como pode ele vir da família de Davi?
E a multidão o ouvia com prazer.
Jesus critica os professores de lei
(Mt 23.1-36; Lc 20.45-47)
38 E enquanto ensinava, dizia:
—Tenham cuidado com os professores da lei. Eles gostam de andar com as suas roupas elegantes e de ser cumprimentados com respeito nos lugares públicos. 39 Eles também gostam de ocupar os lugares mais importantes nas sinagogas e os lugares de honra nas festas. 40 Eles exploram as viúvas, roubando delas os seus bens e, ao mesmo tempo, fazem longas orações para serem notados. Estes receberão o pior castigo.
Jesus ensina sobre o ato de dar
(Lc 21.1-4)
41 Jesus estava sentado perto da caixa de contribuições[e] do templo e observava como as pessoas punham seu dinheiro nela. Muitos ricos depositavam grandes quantias. 42 Veio, porém, uma viúva pobre e colocou duas pequenas moedas, correspondentes a um centavo. 43 Jesus, então, chamando os seus discípulos, lhes disse:
—Digo a verdade a vocês: Esta viúva pobre colocou na caixa de contribuições mais do que o fizeram todos os outros! 44 Digo isto pois todos deram o que tinham sobrando; ela, porém, na sua pobreza, deu tudo o que tinha para viver.
